  1. Correct. I am a reasonable fan with no expectations or much hope for a big jump above mediocrity. I'm neither a hater or a polyanna cheerleader. I like a lot of what they did in free agency plugging holes so they don't have to reach for drafting guys at certain positions, and probably upgraded in some areas, definitely got some decent quality depth. I just don't like them getting too cute with the underrated areas of the draft that will hurt their chances of being able to react when a player they really covet falls down later than they thought, or the quality market at a position is really drying up ahead of them. If they draft another injury case or some kind of problem child with their second rounder again, or reach a round or two ahead for a player at a need position again when they didn't get their target guy, I'll start getting more depressed.
  2. I just don't think the Patriots trade a qb for that low a price if they think he can have starting potential, regardless of how much they believe in their young starter because they have Dobbs as a backup. I think he's likely a tools guy that has a limited ceiling as probably a backup, but lacks the vision and processor speed to be much more. If you have a qb you believe has a high ceiling for a mil a year, you keep him. Things happen in the NFL. You don't fuck around at qb if you really think you have a jewel in the rough. The Patriots marketed the shit out of him and got something for what they think was not much of a loss. They're just gutting too much of their middle round draft and ammo to move up when they keep getting sniped a pick or two ahead of their target guy.
  3. That area of the draft is great for guards, non-edge linebackers, safeties that can often contribute early. Cowboys have immediate need holes to fill long term. The FAs they signed are mostly on one year deals, or short deals. The best news about Milton is that he's under contract through 2027 at 1 million-ish. He may be a replacement for Will Grier as a backup, so they could still potentially take a flier on a young developmental qb late in the he draft. I really just don't like how they have dealt away mid round picks that could have more long term upgrade potential than what they got in return.
  4. Cowboys trading for QB Joe Milton and a 7 in exchange for a 5. Not a fan of this move at all. Backup shows some good stuff in trash games, price goes up, team that has him cheap trades him. He's likely a preseason hero with little more upside. Maybe an OK backup, but I'd rather spend that 5 on a rookie, or use that pick to move up for a targeted player. https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/cowboys-finalizing-trade-to-acquire-patriots-qb-joe-milton-iii
  5. Was this a replay? LOL Great win, but I hope they can figure out how to score a few more runs soon.
  6. That's a bad monkeyfighter, right there. Fuck yeah!
  7. If they blow this one I'm gonna puke.
  8. Umps says he's safeout.
  9. 87 pitches after 8. Would they let him go a full 9 at this stage?
  10. No mas!
  11. Well, fuck this game in the goatass.
  12. Seems like pitchers might adjust to pitch to the skinny side.
  13. Temperature or attendance?
  14. I missed the first inning and a half. Good timing.

I just saw this. I enjoyed it quite a bit. A couple of the covers were really good, the rest were OK, but that's not what I was in it for. The doc part of it was really good and I wanted more of that. I wish they had done a two hour doc and had the band cover stuff as an extra. But it was free and I liked it, made me nostalgic for an era when music kicked all kinds of ass.
