  1. Wikipedia has a decent chart of Beatles post-Beatle collaborations. You can click the columns to arrange them by each Beatle to make it easier to sift through. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collaborations_between_ex-Beatles
  2. I think George never really got over his inferiority complex with Paul and John, but particularly with working with Paul. I think its one of the reasons he sought out collaborations with other iconic artists to compensate. George probably was a genuinely warm and open guy, but remained a bit prickly with Paul when it came to working together. But the version of the recording back in the 90s, or whenever it was, probably was rubbish as far as being able to make it worth trying to release it. I don't think Paul was quite the dictator that he has been perceived, but I can see why it seemed that way to George and others who were just tired of going through the same exhaustive stuff, nitpicking and constant tweaking of a particular song that the others didn't really care so much about.
  3. Ringo contributed to several McCartney songs over the years. But it was mostly spot duty for a song or two on an album. He would throw him a bone now and then when the time was right.
  4. I recently saw a Paul interview from decades ago where he was talking about this song. He said it was mostly George that really wasn't into it, after they had done the other two. I think he was probably being reminded of what it was like for him to work with Paul. I think Paul would have kept going, despite the tech issues. As far as John, he would probably be for anything that put him back into the spotlight, but maybe not as much others monkeying around with his post-Beatles tune. So it's hard to say. Ringo is always just glad to be asked to contribute.
  5. It's a pretty tune, but I don't think its worthy of being a Beatles song. Not much to the lyrics, doesn't really go anywhere like a real Beatle's song might, even one of the not as great ones. I think it's fine that they did it. Why not? It's good that they got the best they could out of John's demo to share with fans. The production is nice, it's a good display of the tech that it required, but artistically, it ain't all that. It's not great writing. But it doesn't really suck. It's another rarity type thing for Beatles enthusiasts. They took a little unfinished demo and make it sound nice, but that's about it. I'm glad to have heard it.
  6. I'm talking about good with guys leaving. I'm all in on loading up on bullpen help.
  7. Shoulda had Semien in the car to flip the order to the car behind him for a double play.
  8. I just lost just a tiny bit of respect for Seager. Fuck Canes. Should been Popeye's or some real chicken place. I guess I'll live.
  9. Hope they re-sign Montgomery at a not too crazy price. Seems like they're mostly good with their free agents, otherwise.
  10. I had a favorite powder blue Rangers t-shirt from my college days that I wore as often as I could. I still have it in a box of stuff out in the shed. I never had the heart to throw it away. I just looked so damn good in it, too.
  11. I remember when Dave Hostetler was an absolute home run crushing legend...for about a week. That hype died off fairly quickly.
  12. Probably because I got his rookie card in a pack of Topps. Cursed...
  13. Billy Sample, Jeff Burrough, Wayne Tolleson, John Matlack, Doc Medich, Rehabbed Doc Ellis formerly pitching on acid...LOL.
  14. I had to rebuild my toilet today. Rangers win the World Series. Is that some kind of karma?
  15. It's awesome that he was even there to call it. Nobody else deserved that honor more.
  16. My first Rangers game was somewhere in the 70s. It was old timers day. In those days they actually played an old timer's game before the actual game. Everybody who was anybody that was still alive was in that Old Timer's game! Mickey Mantle, Willie Mayes, Harmon Killebrew, I believe Joe DiMaggio was there, too. I remember Mickey couldn't run for shit, but he could still knock the shit out of the ball. That's about all I remember about it, but fuck, man. It's been a loooong haul. I never made it to many Rangers games, but I was always glued to the radio listening to Dick Risenhoover exclaim "GoodBYYYYE BaseBaaallll!!!" It got me through a lot of childhood times. Never even expected a championship to happen, just as long as they kept on slugging it out. Fuck me, they got us a World Series!
  17. Y'all ever hear this old joke? A Texan goes to Hell. Devil notices he's not even sweating. He asks him how he's taking it so well." Texan: "Man, this is just like those Spring afternoons in Lockhart next to the barbecue pit!"" Devil cranks up the heat. Cauldrons are boiling over, little demons bursting into flames. Devil: "How do you like that, bitch?" Texan: "Awesome! It reminds me of those magical summer days on my grandpappy's ranch in McAllen!" Devil thinks on it a minute and figures, "Ah, these Texans are used to the heat. I'll make it super cold!" All the Cauldrons get iced over, pitchforks sticking to the little demons hands, lava turns into snowy avalanches. Texan: "WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAA!!! Devil is all like, "What the fuck man?" Texan: "The TEXAS RANGERS JUST WON THE MOTHERFUCKIN' WORLD SERIES!" Can't tell that one no more.
  18. Of course. Chapman and Sborz are always automatic. Glad LePew didn't have to come in. LOL
  19. The Texas Rangers become the first team in MLB history to win a world series while still being shitty! I'll take it.
  20. Who had Sborz finishing the World Series clincher? I love this team. What a story. Should be a movie. Nobody would believe it.
  21. Only missed it by one batter. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
  22. Let's keep it going... Jank fixin' to yank.
