  1. Did you try the CW channel?
  2. Trey Lance added to the official "negotiation list" of CFL franchise. https://x.com/CFL/status/1904912105095958580
  3. Nice first inning, Jack.
  4. I'm getting the "blacked out" message on the DirecTV channel. I have the game on 44-2 OTA. Just seems weird.
  5. It would be awesome to see good Leiter tonight in a real MLB game. That would be yuuuuge for this team.
  6. Seems like they could have at least had a little graphic on 677 as a placeholder so people would know what's up. Tonight's game is showing on both antenna channel and digital Rangers Network. Maybe it was yesterday as well. Wasn't that going to be a Friday thing? I wasn't sure if both would have the broadcast on those days.
  7. I had the same issue, no pregame show, said I wasn't subscribed or it was a tech issue. I could get every game except the Rangers broadcast with the MLB free preview. Decided to do the red button reset of the receiver and after it got done it was on. But I don't really know if it was the reset or if it was because the clocked turned past 3pm in the process and they just botched the pregame stuff.
  8. Damn, so close to groovy until it turned into shitty.
  9. Heim seemed to have lost some of his hunger after the WS. He's too chill and content. Needs to get that edge back. Light a fire under him.
  10. 88-ish wins with a decently hot start, slump in the middle, strong finish and a playoff run.
  11. There's always Joe Flacco. Maybe they can get Colt out of retirement.
  12. Loved DLaw, but he gone, no longer care. It was some typical bruised ego bullshit in the heat of the moment. He has said nice things since. But what he said was factual. After he left the Cowboys for sure, he will never win a Superbowl in Dallas. Cute. He aint' winnin' one in Seattle either. I wish him well, but it was time to get younger and cheaper at his position.
  13. Bring him back as a closer. They will probably need one by then, at least.
  14. Well, they ran out of first round busts, I guess. Now going for second round bust Parris Campbell, who gets hurt tying his shoes. Six season of NFL, has only played in as many as seven games in two of them.
  15. FYI, for folks in the Temple-Waco-B/CS viewing area, I've got the game on antenna channel 44-2 MyNet, rather than the CW channel. Looks good.
  16. I was subliminally rooting for Cupp to be a possibility, knowing it was both a longshot and also probably too risky to mess with. But the expected price was starting to look right. Stefon Diggs is probably a better but still not that likely a possibility. He may get caught up in the drying up market and have to find a team, and the Cowboys might be there waiting. Amari is a flat out no, and I wouldn't expect either side should really have mutual interest. I think a WR like Tyler Boyd would make a lot of sense for the Cowboys. He's been a pretty productive and dependable number 2B or 3 type receiver for years, he's cheap, nobody's talking about him. he would probably be a clear number 2 WR for Dallas, and probably an upgrade over Cook. Can't really blame him for being stuck in a total dumpsterfire offense last season with the Titans. A guy like Keenan Allan my be a possibility, at least would be a good veteran presence, not sure how much he las left in the tank. I could maybe see Tyler Lockett happening, but not really sure he's the type they really need. If you want a smaller dink type Elijah Moore would probably be a better value.
  17. Cowboys were tryna sign former first round draft bust Mazi Smith before they realized he's still on the team.
  18. Rico Dowdle signing with Carolina, one year 6.25M. Hmmm...
  19. I agree it's not a good trade at all. He may be a marginal starter or decent backup, but I hate giving up two picks. They are really thinning their draft capital. They shit away their fourth rounder which could have brought a guard, LB or RB that could be an important contributor. So their three 5th round picks were sort of the luxury they had to maneuver to make a small move to get a falling player they really want. Now they don't have that, so they probably end up drafting practice squad guys with those picks instead. They just seem to really not want to sign anyone that might cost them a comp pick, then they shit away the comp picks on bullshit without much upside. Murray may be a good trade, but not as much when it adds to the 2025 draft numbers attrition. If he ends up being a great fit they're going to end up losing him again in free agency or end up paying him too much on a longer deal. I like some of the stuff they did, but they're getting way too fucking cute.
  20. Hate to see Lawrence go but he's too much of an injury and potential decline risk to pay that kind of money at this point. But it leaves a decent void there. Murray is a good player, should be an important part of the D. I like them getting experienced guys, but it is getting a little ridiculous with the early draft busts. Worse that they are spending some picks in this draft for players with only a year or two left on their contracts. They seem really dedicated to getting the most comp picks. That can be OK if they are really good with 5th and 6th round picks, but they really aren't good bets. You would like to have those picks to use to move up to grab a targeted player in the draft in the mid rounds that should have gone higher.
  21. Could be the most successful fan outreach tactic ever, other than winning a World Series a couple of years ago.
  22. They need to get a better capologist than Jerry's kid. At least he saved us from Johnny Football.
  23. I'm not terribly opposed to their direction in free agency so far. They are very unlikely to make a blockbuster move that would take up another massive contract. They are shoring up depth guys that can challenge as potential starters, and they are getting younger. We all like to dream about getting a known big-time player, but that probably isn't the greatest a plan with a team like the Cowboys stage with a lot of holes to fill. They still could ad a guy you've heard of that's pretty good to generate a bit of excitement. They seem to love former high drafted picks that were disappointing, but not un-useful. They picked up younger guys with starting experience and some versatility in the trenches, that may still have upside. I like the philosophy there. I think there are some differences in what types of players the new coaches prefer in letting some FAs leave. Keeping both Osa and Gholston was improbable, but they kept the best one. I think they want a different type of player in the DT mix. There are quite a few bigs out there that have been somewhat surprising cuts after some teams have already addressed positions, where the Cowboys might be more tempted at perhaps a better number. I think the Cowboys will sign a WR, but probably after the dust starts to settle and find a better value for a guy that will be a good addition for a couple of years while they break in some new talent. I wish they hadn't been in a hurry to re-sign Turpin, really a luxury player who rarely makes much of a difference other than a couple of plays a year. I would rather have seen another team bite on the 2nd round compensation, which was a longshot anyway. At best, he may be good trade bait before the deadline if they season stinks. I'd rather have the pick and younger talent on a rookie contract than an inconsistent aging part-timer that occasionally has a splash play. There's still a big chunk of free agency left. I'd rather get a few good players than one shiny big money star that's probably going to go to waste on this Cowboys team that doesn't seem that close to being a legit contender, but maybe could be another year from now if we're really lucky. They will probably take a RB in the top 3 rounds. I'm looking forward to getting something good with pick 12. Then we'll see how it feels.
  24. The amount of big uglies shuffling in this FA period seems fairly unprecedented. Salaries continue to be increasingly cray.
