  1. It was nice of the Cowboys to schedule their first preseason game to not conflict with the Rangers game. My day is pretty much set.
  2. I'm feeling part of that. I'm super stressed about a lot of things lately, but having time isn't a problem. I have time. I just can't seem to get myself in gear to actually produce something instead of just thinking and dreaming about it. It definitely is best to have some kind of schedule to keep with some kind of deadline. I try to decide my own schedule or deadline to do some actual guitar playing, art work or something else creative or constructive. But it doesn't work that well for me if I'm the only one on the schedule and deadline. I've done one stupid little thing where I set a deadline, and it was at the last 10 minutes. Wasn't much, but I was stoked that at least I did at least one little thing I promised I would do. My overall record in that regard is piss poor. I think that little thing was about a year ago, so maybe I'm due again. I've always wanted to be a team guy and collaborator, but it doesn't happen. I have a shortage of candidates for that kind of thing, with people around that have some similar interests and time. It's nobody's fault but my own, but it's really frustrating to have myself as the guy I'm trying to get to do stuff. I suck at that.
  3. It's amazing how these pharm companies find the most rhythm-challenged people to dance in their commercials.
  4. Fuck this stupidass streaming shit. I waited all night for this game to find out I can't even see the motherfucker.
  5. I just pulled this thing out of a closet. It's a test sculpture of just some random dude I started years ago to try out a batch of Monster Clay I ordered to see what it was like. It wasn't stabile enough to hold itself up at that size and weight with no armature underneath, and I had no plan for it, it was just riffing to get the feel of it. Maybe I should figure out what it's doing and finish it somehow, even though it's a little gritty from storage in that dirtyass closet. I keep trying to get myself to do some more stuff, but I suck at motivation.
  6. Movie theaters started going downhill ever since they stopped showing Tex Avery cartoons at the beginning.
  7. So today I was out for a while and I was able to get the game on the old Waco station connections again. I had tried several other times this season before with no luck, but I think they were all weekdays, and they probably didn't want to preempt their shitshow sports talk yakkers. Like anybody really wants to hear that shit instead of real actual sports.
  8. I think it's because Randy just wasn't an attention kind of guy. As great as he was as an integral part of "Eagles" and what the meant to the music world, he wasn't such a household name.
  9. The Duke could out-act Bridges with one lung tied behind his back.
  10. It's pretty good, but pales in comparison, despite Glenn Campbell's attempt at acting.
  11. Eric Williams was the best right tackle of his era. Totally screwed, the Reggie White eraser.
  12. It really started to suck when every shitty little theater chain started thinking it could be Alamo Drafthouse, with the food delivered to the seats, reserved seating with various price ranges. OK, a lot of people like that, but it's a pain in the ass when you're just trying to watch a damn movie. The local one I used to frequent, that was very cozy in a former life, ripped out all of the best rows of seats to accommodate that bullshit and super-fatass and cripple seating, so you couldn't even get the seat you wanted with the high priced tickets. They left the way too close seats and the above comfortable eye level seats to make you watch people meandering randomly in between throughout the film. But mostly, it was the shitty movies that made me pretty much retire for theaters. I was an avid movie-goer for most of my life. Too many people these days don't even know that experience.
  13. They have mostly make movies for children and regards over the last decade or two, so people don't know how to act in a theater any more.
  14. Not the best game to show for a defense clinic. I hate these old white sox looking uniforms. I keep forgetting we're the good guys.
  15. Yeah, a few miles short of my range. I usually lose it somewhere well outside of Waco when I'm driving back from DFW.
  16. I found the game on 1260 AM, from somewhere around Austin. Staticky but listenable. But now I'm back in front of the TV. Good to hear Eric Nadel again, though. If anybody ever deserved a Bobblehead night it's him...or maybe he deserved to not have one even better.
  17. It was great when they were on WBAP back in the day. You could get it all over the state.
  18. The latter two haven't worked for me this season. It's how I used to listen to games. I'll try to dial into KTON to see if they are still carrying them, but I think they are all the same ownership. I can't pick up The Fan out this far.
  19. Is there over air radio outside the Dallas area where one can actually hear a Rangers game in central Texas in the car? I ain't doin' SiriusXM, because it sucks.
  20. Samsung Flip commercial, kill it with fire. Also qualifies for punchable faces.
  21. If Ohtani can be a pitcher and a DH and leave one and stay in the game for the other, we should be able to have a designated hitter for the good catcher that can't hit for shit.
