Most I ever spent on a guitar was a Rickenbacker 360 12-string fresh from the factory. It was absolute gorgeous and sounded great, and being a Beatles and Tom Petty fan I wanted one for a long time. But that neck kept seriously bowing on it like a bitch, so after about 6 adjustments over several months I sold it, and I was relieved to get my money back out of it.
I couldn't play it anyway with my fatass fingertips on that skinny neck. I struggle enough with 6 strings.
Aging comedians doing travel shows seems to be the natural progression of things, certainly worked for the Pythons. They tend to be good shows. I'll have to watch this someday.
Conan was the last of the watchable late night guys.
I'm not sure. I think an ambitious young gun would be more likely to jump at a chance to coach the Cowboys than an experienced veteran coach that better knows what he would be up against. But it's really more up to different strokes different folks.
He should have been offered an asst position coaching role after he retired, like other former players have. I think having the opportunity to coach his kids may have been a factor in that not happening, at least after that awkward brief career in announcing that never should have happened.
I've been thinking this. Other teams kick the tires on fat Mike, look at tapes of some of his game management skills, and he's no longer a hot item, if he ever actually was. Or maybe Mike sees just how bad those other organizations are not looking like a better situation.
Jerry may get his short term deal and kick the can down the road another year or two...or not.
Both options scare me. Keeping the same status quo vs. making another dumpsterfire hire.
I almost embrace mediocrity by now. Losing hope can do that.
So, people think Jerry at this stage of his life is really going to hire one of the few dickheads in the known universe that has an even more of a bloated ego than his own? Someone who is going to demand all credit for any potential Cowboys success?
I don't see it. But it gets people yapping and clicking on links.
Best news is the old dog staff will be gone, other than Zimmer.
Zim is old, but he actually wasn't a bad head coach at Minnesota. I'd take him with a slew of bright young gun offensive minds.
I thought Vrabel could be decent, at least solid and not as embarrassing as the last few, but he gone.
Jerry either has a guy or Mike just wasn't willing to take a short term deal.
I hope it's a minority hire. It will likely be the same shit results, but at least they'd get a free draft pick out of the deal, even though that's a bunch of bullshit.
Kingleberry is a dingleberry that couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. He got lucky to be in the qb room when Johnny Football was making shit up on the fly.
