  1. The Vespero seems like a beater player to me. It found you because it wanted to be played. Wear a hole in it and make it your Trigger.
  2. This game was goatass.
  3. Man, these 2-out almost-rallies are killing me. Makes me feel like we're gonna blow it.
  4. I never understood why Fender seems to be unable to make an acoustic guitar that sounds worth a crap.
  5. I took this painted bunting photo a couple of weeks ago before it was even officially summer. A bit rough around the edges, but still proudly sporting the colors.
  6. Great stuff, Smokey!
  7. I recently hit GC to check out some of the less expensive Martin acoustics and whatever else might work for what I would spend for a guitar I probably won't play much, but hopefully would make me want to play more. All the shit was locked up on the wall and I wasn't in the mood to go get some jackoff to unlock them and stand over my shoulder the whole time. So I took a look at all the other stuff I could actually pick up. The best acoustic guitar I could find among the bunch was a used Cort for $200. I had never even seen a Cort branded acoustic guitar before. Sounded better, played good, looked pretty nice, but it wasn't quite what I wanted. Most of the other crap in there was probably made in factories around the corner, but with more well-known brands on them.
  8. The fuschia of rock & roll.
  9. I know the room will be unanimously thrilled with this revelation. Pickguard screws seem pretty close to right.
  10. Tony D was deceptively strong, too. He was always seen as a speed runner, but then he would run over your ass.
  11. Shit, going to HEB is one of my few highlights of any given week. Not that it's that great, but everything else that once brought any interest has either died or turned to suck.
  12. MLB sent the memo out to get Ohtani in the playoffs. Fuck that bullshit.
  13. Strange blast from the past. Spinal Tap moment around 11:00.
  14. Never in doubt. Always trust the Rangers bullpen.
  15. I don't know that I would call that an error. Looked like a funky hop and angle that would have taken a great play to make, and I'm not sure Jung even touched it. If it were an error seems more likely on Seager, but it was a difficult pickup going past Jung.
  16. People really like this shit? I guess they know their audience. They did once have some of the best commercials. The Snoop one is full regard. Haven't been to Jack in ages, but it is definitely far more useful than McD's or BK, Wendy's etc..., if only for the 2AM drive back home tacos.
  17. Man, it sucks to lose the park, but I'm not a big fan of the shitty methods to attempt to retain it. But fuck a bunch of developing some beautiful natural land. Just shitty shit all the way around. Wish a bazillionaire would swoop in and buy it all from everyone and just leave it the hell alone.
  18. Man, I can't get in sync with all these day games and weirdass times. I sat down in front of the TV with some chinese food to start the game, after it's 6-0 I nodded off. Came to and it was 6-5. I missed all the good shit.
  19. They should leave Deion's foot and amputate in the other direction.
  20. Are you familiar with another Texas landscape scene artist named Palmer Chrisman? I have one my Dad bought at an auction a couple of decades ago, a bluebonnet scene. They were colleagues together in the medical field.
  21. The reissue sounded way better when hooked up to the vintage cabs. The speakers seemed to be the most significant factor. They all sounded awesome, but the vintage models with original speakers kicked the most ass.
  22. I rather enjoy the view from my comfy chair at home, and not having to drive to D/FW and fight traffic. I probably should make a trip one of these days, though.
  23. Schoepf's in Belton this past weekend. Probably not quite top 50 caliber, but this is the only place in Bell County that is anywhere close. So much better than Miller's since they upped their game in the past year or so, and Miller's keeps slipping deeper into tourist trap purgatory and lesser bbq where people line up like pigeons to popcorn. Schoepf's doesn't get nearly as crowded. Still, it was nearly $33 worth of food for not getting stuffed, and that was with water as the beverage. I have to say the ribs were great for St. Louis cut, but they were meaty and delicious. I didn't order burnt ends, but they were left from previous cuts and the pit guy said "would this do?" Not sauced up all foo foo style, just little corner cuts, like real burnt ends. Brisket is really tender and juicy, and quite nice.
  24. This series is a bunch of bullshit. This game is the bullshittiest bullshit of the series.
