  1. I went black-capped vireo hunting last week. Their population has been booming over the last several years and no longer considered endangered.
  2. Very cool, Bogey!
  3. Funny how I find more bucks while out birding than I ever did when I was hunting in my younger days.
  4. His 2 and 3 hour videos have been killing me. I'll watch most anything he does, but if it's that long I really need to be into that interviewee. Break them down into smaller sections and I'm in, but I'm waaaaaaay behind on his channel lately.

Those plastic john boats they have at Academy and Tractor Supply look halfway tempting, but not as portable. Would need a trailer for it, so might as well get a real boat. Ideally, I would much rather have a good used aluminum bass boat, but they aren't easy to find in these parts. I have sort of a phobia about the old school aluminum john boats because the last time I was in one it tipped over right after I shoved off. Thing was incredibly unstable, maybe there was something wrong with it, or I was just too much of a fat fuck at the time.
  6. One appearance, one win per appearance for Anderson. I'll take that. Kid looked great.
  7. I'm concerned about Martin being back at regularass Martin again. He's had some good outings and decent amount of wins, but his BAA is over .300 and WHIP is high, giving up way too many hits. Even his April stats are deceiving, while having a 2.41 ERA, his BAA was .286 and WHIP .140. It's obviously worse now, but it seems he was fortunate to have that early record.
  8. Barlow on IL with an illness, not good for the bullpen.

I've been looking at kayaks to get my ass back on the water, because bank fishing at the lake kinda sucks. But I don't want to spend much because I have serious doubts about how my body will take to it. I know I would need one that sits up among the highest available, for my back and knees. Easy to haul in a truck bed would be ideal, a 10-footer range would be nice. My old Bass Hunter one-man thing would probably work better for me, but it's been sitting outside for about 35 years so it's probably not too lake-worthy by now. It would probably crumble. They were sure fun in the short time I had access to a nice pond, though.
  10. The guitar miced up sound is ass, though.
  11. Stupid deal of the hour at 7pm central until 8, Martin Special 000 for $699. Slightly tempted but I'm storing up for some photo purchases. But if the made it in a cutaway it would be more like 50/50. Somebody buy it for me. https://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid?icid=210190
  12. Fuck streaming. Making it the main home viewing thing was always a bad idea. It will continue to be until they advance tech enough and consolidate streaming networks much like cable/sat did. I'm not a fan of cable either, but I always laugh when streamers tell me about all these great old shows they are streaming that I watch for free with an old school antenna. Paying for free shit is for suckers. There aren't enough decent movies or shows to make the bullshit that is streaming worth it. I don't give a shit about any of it. I don't feel like I'm missing anything except for a lot of headaches and extra bills for things that can be a bitch to cancel. Then when you do it to live sports, that's a whole other level of bullshit. It is fail.
  13. Stupid Deal of the HOUR today, each hour a new deal at musiciansfriend. They no longer seem to show the past deals, though, so you have to check. One of the Guitar Center Daily Picks is this Blackstar Fly 3 Acoustic for $40. I didn't even realize the there was an acoustic version. Hard to imagine it would sound that good through 3-inch speakers, but the Fly 3 regular one is pretty dang cool as a desk top or by the chair amp. https://www.guitarcenter.com/Blackstar/Fly-3W-Acoustic-3W-1x3-Acoustic-Guitar-Combo-Amplifier-Blonde-and-Tan-1500000320915.gc
  14. This is the correct answer. There has never been a really satisfying Earp/OK Corral related movie. The closest was Hour Of The Gun. Second closest was Star Trek original series Spectre Of The Gun, which would be the best in a landslide, but technically it's not really about the same characters...and it wasn't a movie. I mean...ain't nobody can top this classic scene.
  15. Nice effort by Bradford overcoming a tough start. Sborz didn't look completely worthless. Barlow could give the bullpen a boost if he can avoid the slump and pitch like he did before the second half of last season. Tough almost-comeback loss. But some decent signs for the pitching staff.
  16. I miss pretty much any era I lived it that wasn't in the 2020s.
  17. Or play a gig with a nice Martin or something, swap it without people knowing and smash it on stage. Let it go out in a blaze of glory.
  18. Ain't got nothing to lose by trying. Glue it and clamp it up for a while and see what happens. If nothing else you have a cool guitar shaped birdhouse or maybe a cornhole practice target hole.
  19. Nice cuckoo! They are usually really tough to photograph out in the open.
  20. We almost got LePewed again. Hold on for one more inning!
  21. LePew warming up. Fixin' to get tight.
  22. Hopefully Perez will bounce back after a couple of not so great outings.
  23. Sandy retired three out of five batters faced last night in the ninth against Atlanta. That should pretty much put him at the top of the Rangers relief pitching corps.
  24. Well, shit. Now I'm waiting to hear Leiter has lupus or some shit.
