  1. I haven't been fishing yet this Spring, but I've been stocking up on modern lures while I have retired most of my more vintagey stuff. I hope Yo-zuri doesn't suck, but these were on clearance for about half the usual price. Snagged a few of my old tried and true favorite Bomber 6A crankers as well. Check the clearance section of your local Wal Mart's.
  2. Here's a bonus cliff swallow that I forgot. It's one of the only decent ones I got in the air and it's dropping a bomb.
  3. The sun was still a little high, not me. Just to make that clear...
  4. Some recent swallows, or "swallers" as I like to say. Regardless of how you say it, they are some of the most difficult birds to photograph. Barn Swallow. Cliff Swallow: The barny was buzzing me last week while I was trying to get close to a scissortail in a tree. When I failed at that and the scissortail flew off, I shifted to the barn swallow and jacked up the ISO and shutter speed and managed to grab a decent one, though it required a little bit of fancy sharpening tool voodoo. I noticed the cliff swallows while driving on a frontage road. There was a big swarm circling around an overpass, so I circled around and came back again and parked at a convenience store. I had my camera with me as usual, and I thought it might be a rare opportunity to get some shots. They weren't buzzing close enough to get a good one, and they were swarming so fast and randomly cutting. Then I saw they started swooping down to a couple of puddles by the road after it had rained earlier that morning. I found an ambush spot to set up with the sun behind me, still a little high but not bad, and was able to get them diving in to grab some mud and zip off again.
  5. NM
  6. Rushed home to catch the Rangers game, where the fudge is it on TV?
  7. "We will sell no Ripple before its time."
  8. Yeah, but Yoko did it without even throwing a punch.
  9. Only three undefeated teams left in the major leagues. Only two of them aren't Texas.
  10. Nice to see Martin pick up where he left off last year, and actually have the team score a run to get him a W.
  11. ESPN knows. This is the year.
  12. Was that a "pickup" line?
  13. Jayron will have to buy out the remaining Kearse #27 jerseys. That could cost hundreds.
  14. Pardons if posted earlier, but this mural apparently exists at a taco joint in Arlington.
  15. Just wait and buy them off of disappointed Ohtani fans.
  16. I never understood why they would schedule an off day in the middle of a series. Just play them in a row and give the traveling team or teams an extra day to get their shit together. That's some Roger Goodell type bullshit.
  17. Parsons says a lot of shit. He probably sticks with 11. He's a potential Hall Of Famer, don't fuck with an established number. Zero would suck on a defensive player, as with most any player, other than maybe a Cowboys kicker. As far as Davis, he did good, but it's way easier to look good as a number 3 back on selected plays.. Pass protection is huge, it's one of the big reasons Zeke still had SOME value as a player. Too many RBs don't even want to be good at it, or lack the physique or knack for it. It's something that will need to be addressed in the offseason.
  18. First place, bitches.
  19. Damn, this game is almost at 2 hours already in the 5th. Glad they adopted the pitch clock.
  20. You gotta snag that one, Lowe. I texted my buddy at 0-5 "Rangers still suck." You're welcome. Rangers fans.
  21. Rangers making it exciting this year.
  22. Hit and miss with bluebirds here. A couple of years ago they were all over the place on the property. The big freeze did a number on them and they had a hard time coming back. I think the Cooper's Hawks nailed a few more, they're pretty easy targets to spot for those bastards. But hawks gotta eat, too, ya know. I still see some occasionally on the outer fringes of the pasture, but they don't nest in the bird boxes near home. I don't think they like to nest near a lot of trees where predators can hide out and swoop in quickly. They seem to like being out in the open a lot better.
  23. I'll go 83. That's with DeGrom pitching about half the season.
  24. Early TEs are very risky, high disappointment rate, and even with the decent ones can often take a couple years to show up. I would wait until at least 4th round. I think the Cowboys are OK at TE without Schultz, plus a draftee. There are usually decent TE bodies in post-draft free agency if they need depth.
  25. I stopped reading DP a long time ago, but would occasionally read something there when I googled a particular thing that led me there. It's crazy that Amazon can just pull the plug like that and shit all over the users and creators.
