  1. That Harrelson's Own weed spray guy has gotta be Woody's brother or something, ain't it? I know Woody is a big "hemp" guy.
  2. I've been trying to pick out some of my poors guitars to put up for sale to make some space. I pulled my 2012 Epiphone SG G-400 out of mothballs, since I haven't bonded with it in a few years and I have since gotten a real Gibson "faded" SG that I love. But dang, now this Epi SG seems pretty nice again. Looks like it needs a nut replacement, though. So now instead of downsizing I'll probably be spending more on keeping the same guitar that I never play. It's a dadgum disease.
  3. That won't happen until the epic vintage Fender vs vintage Gibson guitarpocalypse.

    Time to visit Waco

I was thinking about him a lot the last few days. I just lost another friend to covid. Not super close, an older guy, but close enough to hit home. I'm running out of people fast.
  5. And it will be about the price of a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs.
  6. Still...Woodson got screwed.
  7. 2 1/2 Hall Of Famers and a Man Of The Year in one day. I can't believe that commie Goodell allowed that to happen.
  8. Horn Dog came in and LeRoy Jenkinsed this mofo.
  9. Looks like you're already complaining about pickguard screws.
  10. Already a better player than me.
  11. Still trying to rekindle my art itch, I have put acrylic paint on canvases on three different occasions in the past month. The results were not good and I really struggle getting the hang of making the paint do what I want. I'm thinking about trying oils soon and see if I have any better luck. I've been looking back and trying to remind myself of times when creating things was a pleasant experience, even if the results were never quite as good as I hoped. It was still relaxing. I'm trying to get back to that. Back when I was playing around with poly clay about a decade ago, I would just sculpt random small heads for practice. Sculpting from photos isn't easy. One night I was sitting in my comfy chair and The Searchers came on TCM, one of my favorites. I had a hunk of clay in my hands and ended up using the movie for reference. I got a long way towards getting this head done during the movie. Then later I cut a piece of a soda can or something to build the brim of the hat on and fine tuned it. Still somewhat rough, but it was fun. I I had kept going and at least put a neck on him, but I never took it further.
  12. But nice vibrato.
  13. I actually tend to agree with that approach as long as the draft results continue to be positive. You pick and choose where you go after an impact free agent. A lot of the Cowboys worst issues have been holding on to mediocre players too long. That, and shitty coaching, crappy in-game management, with predictable schemes that every other team knows better than the Cowboys do.
  14. Could be an improvement over the past trend of receivers running into triple coverage for Dak to throw into regularly.
  15. I always liked Asics shows. I wore them back in the 80s when they were called Tiger, but then Nike and Reebok started playing big boy brand with the big shoe chains and had them blackballed. Then I couldn't find then anywhere. I always thought Asics were better than both of them.
  16. I've always been a supinator, mostly in my right foot so my right shoe starts turning over after a while, then I get sore knees. When I stopped wearing New Balance it got a lot better with the Asics. But the last few pair I got seemed to start turning over a lot faster and knee pain insures. The ankle-boot hikers seem to keep me more stabile for longer wear, but it's getting harder and harder as I get old AF. I think I need a knee scope or something for old meniscus damage.
  17. I wore those New Balance for about 20 years until they started getting cheaper quality and less stabile. I switched to Asics for a decade or so, then the same thing started happening. Now I primarily wear Columbia Newton Ridge hiking boots. They last a lot longer. And yeah, I have several pair of each in various states of wear for different tasks depending on how nasty the job is.
  18. Schott hasn't been in that many great situations, so I won't totally write him off. The bright side is there shouldn't e a learning curve of a brand new offense, but perhaps a shift in philosophy with a few wrinkles and better play calling. Maybe not great play calling, but hopefully not as stupid and predictable. That's all I got.
  19. It WAS a Chibson...until he made it a chip-son.
  20. Have you ever tried wood slices? I have a bunch of cut treated fence posts I have saved over the years from my fence work and have been trying to think of something practical to do with all of them. Maybe we need to form a partnership.
  21. I saw about 20 minutes of this last night in a relatives' living room. I was waiting for the laughs through the cringey dialogue. It had nothing to do with the wokeness or whatever, it just seemed like typical recycled lower level 2010s HBOish series type cartoonish scripting. Jonah looks older than Mulder. God, he looks terrible. Resembles my oldest brother after his decades of drug abuse. He looks 35 years older than his date, and creepy AF. Why is she into him? On the plus side, I thought Eddie seemed to be playing his part well, so it's nice to see him actually acting somewhat. Not a fair sample for a legit review, but I don't think it's my kinda thing.
  22. This is my favorite Dire Straits album.
  23. I watched this whole thing earlier. Today is Mike's birthday.
