  1. Well this news certainly comes as a shock to me.
  2. Don't make eye contact with her and whatever you do, don't piss her off.
  3. He's absolutely my favorite player of all time. I'm so happy for him. He was the first former player I thought of when the beat Arizona. I loved watching Sierra, Juan, Pudge, Josh, Napoli, Nolan and others but none more than him. I wish he could've played on better teams.
  4. Creeping up on 3" in Hewitt. Just a beautiful soaking rain. My kingdom for this kind of rain 2 or 3 times during the summer.
  5. Thanks for the responses. They are in Cupertino. I'm learning all these things 2nd hand from my wife so it's a big game of worried telephone. Plus my SIL is exhausted and at her wits end as you can imagine. They ran another blood test because they can't determine exactly what the issue is. They are concerned that the arteries around his heart may be inflamed. It's the weirdest thing. They've told my SIL that hey it could be something serious or something that's not too terrible. They're also not sure why one of his eyes is red (irritated) Could be nothing, could be something They're running more tests today and he might get to go home tomorrow. Because I don't know all the details I'll hold off on replying until we know something definitive.
  6. I think most of us understand what we're getting into with Reacher and can still be disappointed when it feels lazy and poorly executed. I plan on tuning in for S3 but I'm much less excited about it
  7. Just finished this one in 3 days. It's really funny. The two leads are married in real life. They're great together on the show. It's funny, as hell, awkward, sweet and well worth your time. I can't wait for s2
  8. My nephew in CA has been sick for a couple weeks with low grade fever. SIL has taken him to the doctor multiple times. His fever spiked to 104 a few days ago and they took him back. She's been to multiple docs/clinics. Can't get in to see his pediatrician. At first they said he had strep and flu, which he still does. Finally she made them run a blood test and it came back this evening that he has a blood infection. They are otw to the ER right now. I don't know too many specifics but I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar? My wife and I and her other siblings don't want to bother her right now but are just looking for any insight. Googles first entry is that a blood infection is sepsis which isn't good but I don't think that's always the case. Anyway I appreciate any help even if it's just anecdotal. He's such a great kid and they're good people. I hate this. Many thanks.
  9. The whole helicopter/stretcher stuff was terribly done.
  10. Thanks for the rec. Wife and I just started and we laughed throughout the pilot.
  11. Bobby Gerry and CJ would be pretty tough to beat.
