Well. We did lose to Florida.
Although I'd like for people to let themselves engage in the thought exercise of Georgia escaping Florida in the swamp vs. at a neutral site.
I was never confident about this game as soon as I saw the schedule. Add in the interim coach dead-cat-bounce and KJ and the D not showing up until the 4Q and it couldn't be a more predictable loss. Soft, undisciplined and unprepared at every level.
Pretty gross season at the end of the day. Completely blew a game at home against a shitty Baylor team, got our asses kicked by TCU, completely blew the Wake game and then choked with a CFP spot on the line. We responded to real adversity one time all season and it was against a flawed Miami team that couldn't beat Louisville at home.
Lashlee has a huge project ahead of him this offseason. There's too much money being spent to go 8-4 against that slate. Also Jennings needs to look prepared and like he gives a fuck more than 7 times a season.
Make everyone play 9 conference games (frankly it should probably be more like 10) put 16 teams in the playoff, get rid of the stupid conference championship games and get rid of the autobids.
The B10 title game this season could not be more pointless. Both teams will still get a 1st round bye. Like... why even play 100% or put anything on film if you're Ohio State or Indiana? Why not just play a bunch of 3rd stringers and walk ons? Ohio State didn't even fucking play in that game last season and won the damn national championship. Their opponent in the title game doesn't even play in a conference.
Duke is somehow playing to go to the CFP despite not beating any of the other top 6 teams in the ACC standings and also losing THREE non-con games.
There's a very clear top 4 and there are arguments for all of them as #1 - although Navy/Army is kind of its own thing since that game is never actually relevant nationally.
I think Michigan and Ohio State hate each other more than Texas and OU do. And the neutral-site Cotton Bowl game is as classic as it gets - but there is something to be said for the home-and-home. You get nastier crowds and gut-punch losses when you lose at home.
It's also a dynamic ranking. Texas/OU was 100% the best rivalry during the 2000s. I think Michigan/tOSU has been the best rivalry in the 2020s. And Bama/Barn is always crazy (and was probably the best game in the 2010s).
What I wouldn't stand for is anyone trying to vault some bullshit like Domer/SC or Georgia/Florida above any of those four games.
Don't call his take retarded just because you disagree. That's fucking lame. Especially when you lead it with "no disrespect" and then proceed to say something disrespectful.
He was 27/46 and threw 2 picks and put up -27 rushing yards. And Texas lost. What a legendary game from Quinn. 🙄
Yeah it's pretty clearly not close - and Quinn had a really nice couple of years to end his career here. The guys around Quinn made him look good. Arch makes the guys around him look good.
I don't think Arch lost a fumble all season. He's a tough motherfucker and getting better at making chicken salad out of chicken something else.
That's actually a very endearing post. Can't imagine being a fan of that team. It's like Sideshow Bob stepping on one rake after another and smacking himself in the face.
