  1. @MissingInAction sorry about that one. Again.
  2. Great take - as per usual when it comes to cbb. I think the hope with Miller is that we just lit a fire under his ass and that Texas has been waiting for someone to come prove that it's an elite destination and that it's easy as fuck to win here. Beard was on his way to proving that and honestly kind of did in just a year and a half. Miller isn't Beard but I trust him to replicate it. Hit the portal and NIL aggressively and lean on the advantages that Texas provides and I think he can kill it here. I also think there's a chance that this is a miss but we'll see what happens.
  3. Durant 38/8/5 3 blocks 7 3s Suns over the Bucks 108-106. Booker with the game winner. Are the Suns frisky?
  4. I think we're going to be okay. I also think that the "golden generation" USA WC 2026 shit is fucking horseshit and that Poch deserves a full window leading into 2030. I just don't understand who watches the back four - or back three - because we are so shitty we don't even have four options apparently - and thinks "wow this current crop is special we better win now". Keeper is included in that. We are going to produce quality wingers and strikers and attacking mids for all of eternity now. "Golden generation" my fucking ass look at this Luna kid. Pulisic isn't going to be our last Euro superstar. What we need are some CBs and FBs. Please. I mean for fuck's sake. Let's see what we can do in '26 but I'd love to hang on to Poch for 4 years after that and see what we can develop. Jmo.
  5. Well I've had a few drinks tonight but I'll try again tomorrow. Doesn't change anything that I said above - I meant every word.
  6. I'm not going to be doing a username change. I appreciate the community feedback and concern. I know that I'm an alcoholic. This isn't some shit that needs an intervention. I know much more about my personal* condition than any of you do and I am very aware of it and have been for years now. I wish that it was easier to quit drinking - I would like for it to not be a part of my life any longer. It's extremely difficult and it (unfortunately) takes time. I've done AA. I've been to rehab multiple times. I've been arrested twice as many times. There are ways in which I'm wired that are not conducive to success and I fight against that shit every day of my life. I made an ass out of myself and put some stupid shit on the table and when I attempted to make good on it you all as a whole communicated that it wasn't particularly important and that you'd like if I was less of an annoying drunken fuck as often as I have been since I started posting here over 6 years ago. I hear that feedback. I feel my own feedback when I drink whether it's my mind, body or spirit and it only gets worse. I'm painfully aware of all of this. I love this community and I seriously appreciate that y'all care and I apologize for whenever I'm undeservedly a dick towards any of you - because all it is is a manifestation of my own character flaws. Well - most of the time - some of the time y'all post really retarded shit. I try and work on being a better person every day and this is an opportunity for me to take it a bit more seriously. All love - ztejas
  7. I don't see a stark divide at all nor do I see "agonizing" over the hire. I see most of the leading hoops posters on this board in agreement that it isn't a major splash but probably a decent - if not better - hire and I see some fringe dipshits complaining about it and attempting to make their voices heard. I thought CDC could have and was going to do better but I'll ride with Sean Miller and I think that he has the tools to do some really good stuff at Texas. Part of the issue is that Texas has absolute killers in the other two rev sports plus baseball and that Beard showed us how high the ceiling can be. Miller has some heavy expectations but fuck it let's see what this guy can do.
  8. I know what chili crisp is but it serves basically the same purpose as that garlic-chili sauce. Was just mentioning an alternative.
  9. I think it's one that's IN Vietnam. I just Googled Vietnam statue and picked the image that I thought would best get the joke across. We have of course completely killed the joke at this point but cest la vie.
  10. Yeah I think Mark is gone. Which is why I led with Pryor and Weaver. I think those are the 2 that Miller both should keep and could keep.
  11. That's a little unfair to Turner. He's had some very nice stretches since he became the guy. I agree that we can do better. I think there might be something with this MLS kid. Patrick something? Wtf happened to Gaga?
  12. If he wants to stick around and ride the bench then whatever. If he's our 2nd string 5 in '26 then the Miller era is off to a rocky start. I'd love to keep Mark. He seriously showed his quality the few weeks of the season.
  13. On a more serious note - I think Pryor and Weaver can for sure be retained. I'm not sure what eligibility looks like for a lot of these guys like Kaluma, Shedrick and Mark (who I'd all take back). I wish Onyema the best. I hope like hell Miller doesn't keep Pope around. Larry and Kent need to move on.
  14. I think Tre Johnson is probably gone.
  15. It's very much Vietnam. Maybe look closer at what the soldiers are packing.
  16. Sierra Nevada Cosmic Little Thing IPA. Really damn good. Dangerously smooth for 8% - and that might be my main critique - a little syrupy on the back-end. I'm more of a hazy guy - less of a double IPA fan. This is a nice little middle ground. It's kind of like a good version of a lot of the high ABV Voodoo Ranger shlock.
  17. He was sheltered there in an attempt to avoid the Opium wars going on with the British Empire.
  18. If it comes to pass we'll have to get Helo some Sooner gear.
  19. If she commits to anyone but Vic she's making a mistake.
  20. There's a lot of videos out there of Euro length and couches.
  21. "Half the story" is being generous to Tom. Sark has done a much better job building and maintaining an elite staff, recruiting the right players (not just trying to pile up star ratings) and developing players and coaching to a standard. It's not like Tom didn't have access to talent. He missed on a lot of guys and didn't develop worth a shit.
