  1. And if we lose you will see the ticket prices for the aggy game come down and every fricken aggy in who can get their hands on them certainly will. I'm so glad it's likely my local high school will have a playoff game next Friday evening. I don't want to be close to a TV.
  2. Haha Same here....
  3. Ticket prices are crashing on Seat Geek for Arky game https://seatgeek.com/texas-longhorns-football-tickets/ncaa-football/2025-11-22-2-30-pm/17307747?quantity=2 They were up at $300 for cheaper seats just a week ago.
  4. It was the same thing we were saying about Charlie as far as he was an OC away from righting the ship. We went up to Tulsa at got Sterlin Gilbert and it didn't work. It was a spectacular failure
  5. Living in Oxford for a few years might do that to a person, Because you are right, his early career was mess and I never got the love for him others had that eventually got him the job at Ole Miss.
  6. Maybe But it's going to take more than at top tier OC
  7. Freeman- Would be an energy shot for sure. We keep our recruiting class intact or most of it. Transfer Portal would be gold mine for some pick ups Kiffin- Would do take the NIL to a new level and use it correctly De Boer- He'd grow in to fit Texas culturally meaning he'd embrace it much like a Matt Rhule did as an outsider to the state Cignetti- See Brian Kelly. He could never be successful in the part of the nation that is in the SEC print. Big Ten and ACC located in the Midwest and Northeast? Yes Riley- Interesting take. I'd never envision him on the sidelines in Austin other than a visiting coach. I'd have to think about this one a little more
  8. Arch played "well" against UGA. Not so much against Florida and OSU.
  9. If youth and inexperience was the only issue, we'd be more forgiving for the results and record to date if they were the same. But obviously its not the only issue.
  10. This is true. I should've said more so CDC knows way ahead of everyone else even when a coaching change is not even on the radar who he wants. It's just waiting for it to get on the radar. He definitely has some names for the football job on speed dial.
  11. That’s a good point. I mean he could very well be playing this out too just in case something went down in Austin. I mean he’s probably not the only established HC or an aspiring one who is maybe going to wait it out except Franklin who is going to Virginia Tech because of the NFL rumor from a month ago. One thing we’ve got to remember is CDC plays his cards close to his vest. When we got Schloss from the aggys, no one saw that coming. Same to some extent with Miller and basketball.
  12. Generally you are correct. I think we’d be more forgiving if the product on the field was winning and losing the same way as far as scores, but we didn’t see all the other stuff such as the undisciplined play, the lack of prep, and just dumb game situation play calling. It could easily be written off and assigned to youth and inexperience at least early in the season and we would’ve expected to see progress by now. In this scenario we wouldn’t have close OT wins to MSU and UK and we certainly would’ve not lost to Florida. And the UGA game might have been a loss, but not the cluster fark it ended in.
  13. There has to be a SI cover like curse with our own football magazine in this state? Right? It took four years through for it to bite Jimbo though although he had an assist with good fortune during the COVID seasons.
  14. Go get Kiffin after the aggy game. Most thought he’d be committed by now and he’s not for some reason.
  15. It's kind of a cuts both ways issue. Do you take it hard now or take it harder later?
  16. Kirk Bohls actually asked a great question. Steve's reaction
  17. And you can disappear once your season ends and not have to really work until April. No Junior Days.. No daily strength and conditioning sessions. It's really a darn good gig especially if you already have money bags in your vault from the previous gigs.
  18. Part of the issue with Mack wasn't so much wasn't the BMD's. It was DeLoss who thought the program could still be operated like it was in the 1990's going into new century and decade. The media and recruiting landscape was changing all around us and he and the Department were still stuck on the "We're Texas" would bring in the recruits to all our programs and it didn't work. He thought the Longhorn Network and trying to be the Alpha Dog with money bags in the Rig 12 would carry us through the next decade with Mack in charge would work and it was a spectacular failure
  19. The fact Indiana is being discussed for a national championship in football when in not so distant past, their fan base and media would be fully engaged in thump thump season right now and we are talking about hanging up the cleats a week from Saturday and waiting for the Cheez it Bowl or worse is all we need to know about the status of our program. Fricken Indiana.... Beam me up!
  20. It could be more of a way to get the discussion going further about how in the last two games, the SEC Refs have tried to put their thumbs on the flow of the game. Again this isn’t so much about in the UGA about the penalties we committed although a couple of them were ticky tacky BS when compared to the on film documented calls that even Herbie and Chris thought were missed and were not called on UGA.
  21. This is spot on.. 100% spot on.
  22. Yep. Maybe one of the $9.95 er’s will finally sack up and ask why this team was so ill prepared after a week off in today’s press conference? This should be asked along with a further explanation about what he saw was fantastic about our running game at halftime. Might want to also ask why they didn’t prepare for the stacked deck officiating we knew would be in front of us too.
  23. Flood under Saban probably knew he couldn’t just be a yes man and cruise on the job. Ultimately Saban made the final decisions, but he ran his system like a damn good CEO does and takes input from all angles and then makes a decision. If you are not contributing to those ideas, a CEO will notice this and push you down to paper pushing status and in the coaching world that means just becoming a side note in the game program. Flood under Sark is obviously not being challenged the same way.
