  1. I think he’s trying to out do Gus Johnson with trying to get excited over little things. Gus sounds genuine. Chris sounds fake.
  2. Oh please. Mateer thinks a little too much of himself.
  3. Fricken Chris and Herbie…. Mateer looks good becuase he’s finally healthy. No Chirs and Herbie, he looks good because Bama DOES NOT belong in the playoff field.
  4. Herbie sounds like he wants to go to bed with Ben Arbuckle.
  5. Which conference are the Refs from?
  6. Bama has a punter who is total dogsht.
  7. But hey the playoff committee thought they were one of the top 12 that deserved to be in the field only because they lost the CCG. Even SOME in the media tried telling them Bama was in a tailspin the later half of the season.
  8. How much did the UGA loss seal the deal as far as Sark wanting to bring on Boom?
  9. Listening to Orangebloods and the On Texas Football podcasts since this news broke yesterday Orangebloods is not on board with the hire and fire On Texas Football is fully on board
  10. This was his achilles heal for sure, hence the "3rd and PK" on the game threads, especially when I was a long yardage situation. It could be 3&10, 3&20, even 3&30 for crying out loud and it felt like a first down was very possible if not likely in several situations. It became predictable how an opposing offense would try to get the first down from long yardage . I think many of us thought bringing in Akina despite him being at the end of his career likely would help fix this, but that was wrong. And this might be where Sark decided to make a move as the season progressed
  11. Golden Corral???? Ketchum's Twitter/X profile pic checks out
  12. PK was a significant upgrade from Todd Orlando and Chris Ash for crying out loud. But dammit he was not what we needed to kick ass on D in the SEC. PK had his moments where he looked brilliant in SEC play mainly against OU and aggy for some strange reasons. But just rewind to the fricken Florida and MSU games this fall where the D looked like complete dog shit (to complement the crappy offense) against dog shit teams. This is not too forget to mention how we were whipped physically on defense against UGA this year as well as twice last year although we looked better against UGA in the SEC 'ship. Those games along with the UK game is what the idiotic playoff committee held over our heads and is why we are preparing for Michigan in two weeks and not James Madison, Bama, OU or Tulane at home this weekend. Let's not forget how we almost let little Napoleon and Vandy back into what should've been a blow out game which justified the playoff committee and some of the media pollsters to keep Vandy close on our heels or even put them over us in all the playoff chatter. To put it in Ford 150 trims Orlando and Ash were Ford Custom or XL trims pre 1990's when you could get a Ford XL without carpet, with vinyl seats and no A/C and an AM Radio ( yes I am that old) PK was an XLT or Lariat Model (current generation) We need a King Ranch or Platinum level trim package DC at the helm if we are going to be serious contender year in and year out in the SEC. I'll give Sark full credit for knowing this one of the two key pieces he needs to make elite in order to not only win the SEC, but dominate the damn conference. Now he needs to do the same for the O-line at very least if not handing over the OC duties to someone just as respected in the football world who has no ambitions to return to Head Coaching or is content on being the best in that aspect of the game as position coach and/or coordinator. Muschamp knows the SEC inside and out. Sign me up!
  13. Nope... It's real 3rd and Muschamp doesn't roll off the tongue like 3rd and PK.
  14. I have to admit that was a fun game to watch though only because it was snowing in Shreveport like it would snow in name your NFL Midwest/ Northeast city in December and seeing guys who never played in snow much less below 40 degree weather in some cases was entertaining
  15. The chat a couple of weeks ago when the playoff seeds were revealed and ND was told you suck is they had a Memorandum of Understanding for their exclusive slot in the future playoffs starting in next season. I am not a legal beagle, but my Dad was a legal beagle on the criminal law side and from my scant knowledge of MOU's in the business world is they are not legally binding. Is this correct @TwiceHorn? Considering the attitude of the Domers not wanting to join a conference and their taking my toys and going home attitude they showed, why are the Conference Commissioners and the TV Nets not tearing up the MOU?
  16. I'll give Elko his due credit for sure. He and his staff definitely had their team ready to play this year and got the players they needed through the portal to help out Reed unlike Sark who did the exact opposite. But our win over them kind of made some aggy unsure of themselves going into this game, having it at Kyle not withstanding. Some of them knew like OU, they got the benefit of playing a schedule that on paper looked stronger at the beginning of the year vs where it ended.
  17. aggy was fortunate to get out of South Bend with a win. If the Domers had pulled the game out, the conversation about them would've been different a few weeks ago and the debate might have been does a two win aggy get in over ND. And if South Carolina and their coach who should've been shown the door after that game had not celebrated an early win against aggy and had his team play a full four, aggy would've been a three loss team probably in Florida too playing in the Pop Tarts Bowl. Two additional loses aggy managed to pull victory from the jaws of defeat.
  18. We here on Surly would've fired McWilliams after that game if the internets as we know it today existed back then. Would love to see this happen to aggy on Saturday and see some of the Corp try to confront a Miami player in the name of protecting the honor of Kyle Field.
