  1. I tend to agree. Third. Don't get me wrong, I realize this is not how the system works, but she's already been severely punished by the market. Prison seems excessive for a victimless crime, especially in light of Jessie Smollet's privilege. He's going to win and Emmy and and Oscar.
  2. Please don't neg me to oblivion for mentioning Jerusalem-on-the-Brazos, but Jimmy Dorrell has done a lot of good work at Mission Waco, and although not familiar, I understand Mission Arlington has successfully executed a similar model with some success for those in Dallas.
  3. This will end when the Grievance Studies majors file a Title IX lawsuit and demand equality.
  4. Far from an expert outside of spending some nights volunteering with a local shelter during overnight freezes and spend a few nights on the streets with homeless folks. I agree spot on with segmentation. For the acute cases, as noted above I think we have a good system to help people get back on there feet. I also think we need to do a better job in education focuses less on grievances from centuries ago and more on how to maximize your life today. My guess is most people living paycheck to paycheck are doing so because of choices they made driven by our consumption culture. Almost everyone focuses on the top line not the bottom line. We should do more to encourage people to save money and make better financial decisions (see Vic's FB friends). But our culture is built around treating the symptoms not finding cures as well as removing all personal responsibility from life. For the chronic cases, feels like if we really want to solve the problem you have to incarcerate and treat, whether mental health or drugs are the issue. I think that really the only way to get a person back to normal and then create that funnel of employment opportunities and support services. I do not love that idea, but sometimes you have to make decisions for the common good. Most crazy or addicted folks understandly face impossible headwinds to face that on their own. For the past 35 years, we've really just focused on making it easier and more comfortable to be homeless, which has clearly solved the problem.
  5. Agreed. I always though Eliot and Margo were the best characters, and she's the smokest of the smoke shows. Julia's not bad but like Alice, kind of a downer.
  6. I came across this documentary a few weeks ago. Have watched about half of it intermittently. I think homelessness is one of those areas perfectly suited for George W. Bush's "compassionate conservatism" approach.
  7. Calm down nancies ... i was talking about hair bands. So touché on Chaim Witz.
  8. Yeah. Always Sixx' band, and I think because of his condition, Mars remained relatively low profile vs. Slash, etc. Even as a kid he was the one I found never remember (in most bands it's the bassist ... I guess except in Winger ).
  9. I hung with Season 1 largely because I was waiting for Alice to Naughty Schoolgirl Magician to add some thigh-highs and bustier to her schoolgirl uniform ... utter disappointment.
  10. Thanks bad #6. Admittedly, I was never a hardcore fantasy or comic book consumer, but I struggled with following the plot, particularly the Beast's motives. In fairness, I'm still not completely sure of Voldermort's end game despite numerous lessons from my daughter. Is it fair to say the source material seems like Harry Potter v2? They seemed similar to me. Definitely adding it back to the DVR.
  11. I watched Season 1 (admittedly largely for prurient interests in that smoke show cast). I need to revisit clearly - I struggled to follow the story but sounds like it has gotten much better.
  12. Filed under "you can't make this stuff up." The corrupt state's attorney now getting out the Race Card. I have to admire both Smollett and the Machine's willingness to double down on the insanity. https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2019/04/07/kim-foxx-thinks-race-involved-jussie-smollett-dismissal-backlash/3394988002/
  13. One look at that picture, and I could tell it would go sideways. Relatively speaking (yeah yeah, I know, Kate Beckinsale is a shag 5, so no neg rep), but both women are attractive and frankly hot for middle-aged lesbians. That's all the clue you need to know that someone is wrong in that house - need a BD to balance ... two lipsticks = cray cray. That being said, absolutely horrible. Sounds like they tortured those poor kids.
  14. Do you even 'Murica bruh? Fucking victim blamer.
  15. All bullshit aside. The only think more amazing that a good makeup artist is the Cloark Room's double-down on fake news.
  16. Doesn't count. The Nigerian's ancesters sold Smollet's ancestors to the Portuguese (who are or are not people of color depending on whatever political point is trying to be made). So technically, Smollet is just getting his reparations.
  17. Seriously. He's basically a goat-fucking, Good Humor-sucking Jessie Smollett.
  18. You're talking about a very vocal part of the country that are basically Vic's POF friends and CNN is their Golden Corral, feeding them chocolate (noracist) fountains of Kavanaugh is a rapist, Covington kids attacked poor Indian five-star general, O.J. Smollet got attacked, RUSSIAN HACKERS! Even if they know it is bad, they've already paid and want their money's worth.
  19. I do admire your commitment to crazy. Tell me more about how Stanley Kubrick filmed the "moon landing."
  20. 21,000 replies to a fake news story, and this is probably the only post that makes any rational sense.
  21. I too was waiting for McFakey to pledge to go "find the real killers." I was not sure what was crazier, the fact that the guy went all in on his bullshit or that he suddenly is no longer outraged about being attacked. Privilege is a bitch.
  22. I really wanted to finish that one, but it was tough to follow Duncan. I need to go re-visit. I have a newfound love for Orthodoxy Christianity and the Roman-Byzantium history.
  23. That's one of my favorites. I really like BALCO and am loving the Hare Krishna ones because I knew only the headlines of the former and the latter ... without speech. I mean I remember those goobers from 80s TV but had no idea the level of insanity. The others were really good too as I was too young to really know a ton about the details of Iran-Contra and the Valdez. Like everyone else, I had just heard to spin on Hazelwood ... cannot believe I'm typing this, but he seemed like the only stand-up guy in the entire episode and paid the biggest price. On Iran-Contra, still not sure how arming the Contras bad, arming the Mujahadeen okay ... basically the same thing in terms of violating the Boland Amendment's spirit. The only difference seems to be who was doing it.
