  1. Don't you even post-truth politics bruh?
  2. Even as a kid, when I saw him on TV destroying my beloved USFL I thought something like: "that is an arrogant a-hole. I don't like him." Nothing has led me to change my mind. After the election, I had some hope the office might humble him and turn him into an adult ... oops.
  3. Is there a scenario where they both lose?

    Yelp

I trust Yelp more than Google, but like others I usually only look at it when I'm traveling out of town looking for dinner. I just go by the stars. Not perfect but better than nothing.
  5. Amari Frisco has a nice ring to it.
  6. Outrage is a drug. Twenty-five percent of the country is dangerously addicted.
  7. An interesting story out of the city that invented fixing elections: https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columnists/kass/ct-met-chicago-13th-ward-alderman-race-kass-20181206-story.html The history of the little guy being squashed by massive Chicago political clout at election time is just too long to print without weeping. But the story for today is so amazing that some Chicago election officials have never seen the like.
  8. I thought it was a typo. Not like 51 is a common football score.
  9. Not to mention Secretary of State is barely a Cabinet position. The WH butler has more influence.
  10. He’s been sweating all over local juvies looking for good fits.
  11. Those buffoons are dressed like they're about the parachute into Afghanistan. We could balance the budget if we'd stop buying cops military toys and Suburbans. #nocloakroom
  12. At all levels of government we spend way too much time on things that don't really matter or affect < 10% of the population.
  13. If you'll send me your address, I'll send you a 8 x 10 glossy with signature. I'm prepping one for Felix so no trouble to add another.
  14. I never in a million years would have bet on Amarillo Tascosa. Knowing my luck and Lobo history, Tascosa will beat Longview next week.

Regardless of where you stand on the marco issue, take a moment from calling each other names and donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/migrantreliefsd.
  16. I naively thought it might stimulate a conversation, but I forget surly fueled by ad homs and faux outrage. The sexism seeping out of the closest was an unexpected twist I must admit.
  17. Not 2,500 but 900 of book four. Basically instead of telling the "book four-five story" using 10 POV characters like in the first three, he decides to do 25 POV characters split among the two books. I don't know the exact time period, but both four and five occur over the same say six-month period ... with book five maybe adding a month IIRC. It really is just the mind-numbing details about crap that really wears you out. FWIW - it's been so long I've basically completely forgotten about the series. I really don't even care what happens at this point.
  18. This. Mobile phones have exponentially made walking around Manhattan ragey. You get the people stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to take selfies or look at the map not to mention the myriad chicks (#noracist) texting or checking snapchat while trying to walk. Can you at least move to the side to check the map / take the selfie instead of standing literally in the middle of the sidewalk? (no, the answer is no)
  19. Realize it will never happen, but my magic wand would go back to P6 of 10 or 12 each. That effectively creates a playoff ... if each 12-team league had a championship game among two divisions, that is first round of 16. Then the six champions plus two wild cards play the quarter-finals at the home of the higher seed. Then you roll into status quo. First round should be this weekend then status quo schedule.
  20. Netting all or part of the balance out of a sale might be an option as well, or states could learn to be more efficient ... but no need to derail to Cloak Room.
  21. No spoilers, but books four and five basically cover the same time period but with different POV, i.e. why do this in one book when I can do two! Book five IIRC does push the story along for maybe the last 150 pages. In addition to that, much less action, more wandering, and exponentially more mind-numbing descriptions of bowls of brown, boiled leather, and other stuff that really does not matter.
