  1. “We were the worst DI team in the country and we just beat the University of Texas." You say that like it's an accomplishment.
  2. Actually, as much as I hate to admit it, this feels normal. Having even a speck of respect for the accomplishments of a Texas team under Shaka Smart felt so strange. Bottom blow this asshole overboard tonight.
  3. But he does own our most embarrassing tournament loss ever. That's no small achievement.
  4. Untrue. I think he gives the team bad coaching adjustments.
  5. True in another sense as well. This game was Shaka's masterpiece for the ages, don't you think?
  6. Just wait. This is step 132 of Shaka's 1015-step master plan.
  7. Go back to VCU?. Seriously, even they're laughing at us.
  8. Yes, we did. A moral victory against the giant that is ACU.
  9. Yep, fuck Shaka. Can we get a real coach now? Please?
  10. Don't bet against us. We're good at finding worse.
  11. If it's not the worst, it doesn't have much competition.
  12. Yes. Given our recent history, we're not really in a position to be turning up our nose at any genuine glimmer of success. Now if we can just get a decent performance in the big tournament.
  13. Well done. I will gladly admit I was wrong when I said Shaka would never amount to anything at Texas. I'm happy for him and the team first, and we long suffering fans second. But let's please not start talking contract extensions just yet.
  14. Yeah, less penalty yardage would certainly be welcome.
  15. The thread asked for Year One expectations. If Herman follows up my expectations with three years like the last two, I suspect he'll be in trouble as well.
  16. 1. Beat OU 2. W-L Floor of 10-3 with CCG appearance 3. Top 5 recruiting class 4. Bowl win
  17. We are trash. The only possible wins left on this schedule are Cincinnati and the fucking Eagles. I hope we lose out for a better draft pick.
  18. But on the bright side, this season has given us the stupidest, most inexplicable fake punt attempt in quite some time. And after all, isn't that what the Cowboys are all about under Jones--comparing freakish moments of misery to ponder which is worse?
  19. He's certainly the most consistently disappointing. Or maybe we're just looking at this all wrong. Since the Cowboys under Jones are never going anywhere, maybe we should just be happy about a badly injured young man who worked his ass off to steal from Jerry. He's hardly the first one to do it, but he might be the most inspirational.
