i actually didn't realize that. that's pretty fucking impressive.

He and that dude with the biker mustache have both done well there recently. That area is like East Texas - lots of raw talent that SC and OU don't take that a good coach can do a lot with. They also can pull under-recruited kids from LA and the Bay with the proximity angle.

Tech has actually been pretty good at scheduling decent competition.

Ole Miss and Houston this year.

    Baylor should take a note.

Yeah, they're good for a fun 66-45 loss against mid-level Pac or SEC competition every year - their games against AZ State were great TV. I respect them for it.

At one point, Spring Dekaney cornerback Marcus Banks had pretty much been penciled in by Texas as a Longhorn commitment. While he was definitely seemingly leaning there, he kept in frequent contact with the Texas A&M coaches as well.

Banks was one of the first players visited by Jimbo Fisher after he took the job and the Aggies are very high on the 6-foot, 170-pound defender.

Banks took his first official visit at the end of last month. It was to A&M, two weeks after he had also been in town for the spring game. The next weekend, he had been scheduled to officially visit Austin, but Banks ended up calling it off.

While there was talk of him rescheduling, Banks had actually stopped talking with Texas as he had a new leader and was showing no interest in the Longhorns anymore. There was suddenly no more reciprocated communication on his part. The consensus surrounding him seems to be that A&M was able to flip the script during his visit and the Aggies took the clear lead.

He is scheduled to officially visit Alabama in mid-June but it would not be a shock if that trip did not happen either.

Banks is set to announce at The Opening Finals in Frisco, which will be held from June 30-July 2. It would not be a surprise to see both he and four-star cornerback Bobby Wolfe commit to the Aggies at the event

Boy that all sounds really above-board and normal

Also, somehow USC was all the way down the list at 23, with $59.8 mil in revenue and $29 mil in profit, barely beating out TCU.

That seems like it must be an accounting trick - they have a monster stadium that they regularly fill and you can't throw a rock in California without hitting a guy with SC merchandise on.
