  1. Good god. That statement is Trumpesque in its stupidity.
  2. You get her point? Because I sure af don't. She brought this shit show on herself. Plain and simple. If the cops had beat the shit out of her, and I was on the jury and saw this footage...? I don't think I'd be voting for her. No wonder some think that BLM is a bunch of crap. I don't think that, but no wonder some do.
  3. In Trump's next reality TV show he's going to be Don Exotic.
  4. Edited for clarification: " I saw an obese scared man."
  5. No hints, at least I don't see them. But Thursdays often have them. What clued me in to this puzzle was the answer "Three Dog Night" and realizing that the "Three" had to be the rebus. But then that didn't work, either (too long of an answer), so other clues (film noir/sixers) finally got me to see the telephone connection. But to answer your question, if there is a rebus it's on a Thursday, and if there's a clue that I am very sure of the answer but it doesn't fit, then I scratch my head for a possible rebus-type answer.
  6. Another fun NYT puzzle today (October 1, 2020). Not "perfect", but pretty darn good. A better-than-average Thursday, imo.
  7. The GOP will, imo, keep going deeper and deeper into that shithole as long as the voters don't hold them accountable. We know that the "base" will never do that. So it's up to the rest of us. So... vote. Vote. Vote. Vote. It all comes down to that. All the rest is just noise.
  8. Come on, isn't this what Jesus was all about? I bet if you had looked real close, Jesus was wearing a MAGA hat in the temple when he chased out the money lenders and that there was a "Trump" sign somewhere, too. Fuck you, Trump supporters and evangelical "christians".
  9. I'm sure we're both very much aligned politically. Just stop with your woe-is-me whining is mostly what I'm saying.
  10. Jesus fucking Christ. What a bunch of moaning. The GOP is following the rules. Hypocritical? Yes. Political? Of course. But "might makes right"? Bullshit. They are following the rules. Stop fucking whining and vote in a different president and different senators. Or change the rules. It's not a military coup here, folks.
  11. I'm in a mood, I admit, but who fucking cares if Trump is denying the veracity of RBG's final wish regarding her seat on the court? If he is, is anyone surprised at this? Wake the fuck up, Dems, and try not to be the organizational and political incompetents you've been for so long. You're going to take it up shorts with this. Just don't do anything stupid that will harm you later. As if.
  12. I hate McConnell and loathe Trump, but your comment is just plain bullshit. They (GOP) can get this through (probably) and yes, it's what the Framers concocted. McConnell would be a fool not to try to get this through. And he's not a fool. He's a piece of shit as a human being, but he's not a fool.
  13. Why is that ridiculous? If there's a topic I'm uniformed about, I don't offer my opinion in conversations. Not only is he offering his opinion, he's offering it to thousands (millions?) of people. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Gotta love a man in uniform.
  14. No kidding. I wonder what Trump got on the back nine.
  15. Lol, you say that like it couldn't happen. Where have you been the past 3.5 years?
  16. God damn, the way you post this stupid shit it's no wonder you're a Trump supporter. What the hell is wrong with these people?
  17. We live in a time when Republicans and Christians (not all, but too many) are batshit ignorant, intentionally so. How did this happen? America is dumb.
  18. She's a piece of shit. Her boss is a piece of shit. Those who support her or her boss are pieces of shit.
  19. Ben Cross, the actor best known to one generation for playing a determined runner in the 1981 Academy Award-winning film “Chariots of Fire” and to another audience decades later for his role in a reboot of “Star Trek,” died on Tuesday at a hospital in Vienna. He was 72. Damn good movie, imo. One of the few movies that treated religion with respect.
  20. An aside, please bear with me. I remember as a kid reading Voltaire/Defoe et al on how basically mankind was comprised of a bunch of stupid fucks. Nothing too deep, just stories where they bewailed the idiocy of their fellow man. I see it. I really see it now. People just cannot think for themselves. Once they get on Team Trump they can't get off. What the fuck is wrong with these people? I bet we all have family members who fall into that camp. All we can do is go out and vote. I'm convinced that there literally (yes, I really mean "literally") is nothing that will change their mind. Vote.
