  1. You need to do a better job of cleaning out the gaps if you use that stuff. Which may or may not be a lot of work. The downside to that stuff, imo, is if it starts lifting out of the cracks it can look bad. You've got a whole length of material that wants to come out, as opposed to the flexible caulk, which self-levels and just sits there (as long as you don't overfill). But it shouldn't be all that hard.
  2. Yeah. 20 tubes of the small stuff (your price may vary) for me is about $170, and 200 ounces (give or take). 200 ounces in the big tubes is about 7 tubes, and at $13.50/tube is $95 (or so). Get the big tubes, Even after spending $15 to $20 for the big caulk gun, it's still worth it.
  3. Not a dumb question. 1) The gaps, if not filled in, may allow water to seep under the concrete sections (in this case, driveway) and cause "voids", empty spaces that can cause the driveway to sink. 2) The material used to fill in the gaps is flexible, still allowing expansion of the concrete.
  4. Look, I really don't mean to be "that guy" but the comment was "world-wide devastation". All I'm saying is that it wasn't world-wide. Not even close. Regional devastation? Sure. World-wide? Imo, no.
  5. Eastern Europe isn't world-wide.
  6. Yeah. I wouldn't say that the accident caused world-wide devastation. And as far as killing innocents? You must be kidding if you think the CIA hasn't done that already. Multiple times.
  7. Hey Bloomberg, there's this thing called "economics", you know pricing and shit? Supply and demand? Check it out. If a resource is in danger of being over-exposed, then, just maybe, charge more for it? Yeah, life sucks.
  8. Really, really liked the movie. At times, imo, it was brilliant. Especially the part where they were dancing at the carnival then went back to the bar. That was some A-one cinematography. The rest of movie didn't have that snap to it, but it was very good, imo.
  9. I use the pastes but want the next level. Anybody here does that? What do you recommend for the curry (powder? paste?) and veggies. Shit. Just remembered that I forgot to put in the lemon grass.
  10. Water is wet. I didn't mean to insult water....
  11. Hit up Tiburon. There's an ok burger place there, close to the yacht club. And then go north to get some oysters. I don't care what anybody says, the bay (gay?) area (especially the North Bay) is one of the best spots on earth. And get some wine, too.
  12. Thank you. It re-confirms my belief that I am a god amongst humans.
  13. You're Laotian, aren't you Khan? Sorry. Just had to get that out there.
  14. Lol. Cynthia Herman say hello! Go Hog Wild, dude!
  15. Google it, dude. I think you should probably drill into the mortar (the areas in between). Get a masonry drill. Google it.
  16. I know it's not "old school", but if the P Terry's on Lamar and 34th closes I'll have to explore assisted suicide.
  17. Ah, the Long Promised Road Trip. Hunter Thompson style?
  18. Is Dirty's still there? My daughter used to live a stone's throw from that place, but she moved so I haven't been there in a while. I hope it's still there. No offense, Whataburger.
  19. I'm reminded of the Oracle in The Matrix. You know what's really going to bake your noodle? AI. Skynet. That shit is coming. Quantum computing. VR. Mankind is going to evolve itself right out of existence.
  20. Nooooooooo!@11!!!1! It's not like Huts had the best burger (they didn't), but it was good. Good enough. But this is yet another part of the (old) Austin that I loved (still love) that is going away. And it reminds me that I'm getting old. Noooooooo!@11!!!1!
  21. Wrap the flags up in a dignified box and leave it on the steps of the VFW. But if the flags are nylon-based, you shouldn't burn them anyway. Or just wrap them up (nicely) and put them in the trash. Really. It's not that big of a deal. It doesn't mean you're a bad American.
