  1. For face "stubble", you know, keeping that Sonny Crockett look going. I got a cheapo dealio at Costco. (Philips Norelco yada yada yada) What do y'all recommend?
  2. Like I say to the evangelicals who refuse to accept evolution and think Trump is Jesus 2.0: you can believe whatever the hell you want to believe.
  3. Lol. Yeah, I get it. Obama fucked up so that justifies you deep-throating Trump. There are a lot like you.
  4. I don't wish this, but maybe I do: Bru McCoy is Ryan Leaf 2.0.
  5. Stand Your Ground!!1!! But seriously, You told you that you would be liable?
  6. Let's peel this onion back a few layers. Would municipalities enact rlc's if there weren't a financial payoff for them? Probably not. But that does not mean it's the whole point, imo. Whether you (or others) choose to admit it, there are some (or at times) positive aspects to the rlc's. Those positive aspects do play a part in this. Are the number of accidents reduced? Maybe, maybe not, but there are data to suggest that the type of accident is less dangerous (rear-end vs. t-bone). And, in my town, it has cured the problem of intersection gridlock. That alone is worth it, imo, at least at that particular intersection.
  7. Yeah, slorch is a full-blown aggy.
  8. So? One can make a lot of generalizations "as a group". If a student works hard they can get a lot out of a cc. And save a lot of money. I'm not saying that a cc is the best way to go, but it is a viable way. How the student handles it is up to them.
  9. Anybody have a favorite method of doing this? I'm using backer rod, sometimes waterproof caulk, leveling caulk, then some sand on the top. That leveling caulk ain't cheap.
  10. Dude, that wording (perfect) was part of your post. Make an honest argument, at least.
  11. Is somebody really arguing that regulating agencies are a perfect answer? Perfect?
  12. And as bad as rlc's are, I find speed limit cameras, like in the UK, to be an abomination.
  13. Eh, I think in the case of (some) rlc's this is a bit overblown. Some (most?) municipalities provide a like to a video which shows your "violation".
  14. I wish him all the best. But he does seem like: a) a head case, b) a homesick kid (nothing wrong with that), or c) who knows? Either way, Texas may be better off without him. But make McCoy regret his decision to leave.
  15. I don't like the rlc's, but I don't hate them, either. Take away the perceived for-profit aspect, and get rid of the bullshit shortening of yellow lights, and the rlc are not all bad. They have improved traffic flow in some places by preventing intersection gridlock.
  16. Not really following you. Maybe you're high on dope. Typically, and of course you may do things differently, kids go from a cc to a 4-year college. Whatever it is, I'm just saying to enjoy the college experience.
  17. People have a choice whether to support this world-wide pedophilia organization or not. A lot of people will choose to support them.
  18. That, and Lance was a cancer Survivor!!1!!11!!. Fuck Lance.
  19. Good luck to all those who are waiting to get into their dream school. Just a few thoughts: community college is ok, a lot of the cool kids are doing it now. Don't go into $100's of thousands in debt for an undergraduate education. Especially if it's an RTF major. Just don't be stupid. Enjoy your college experience. You don't have to get into Harvard.
  20. Agree. But it's more than the RCC. It's basically all Christianity. But without the dogma of "original sin" then why would you need a savior? You wouldn't. So another of my unpopular opinions is that this is all just a business monopoly plan by the church to sucker people into accepting their product. Jesus? Good guy. Nothing divine about him.
  21. I get the moral qualms many have with abortion, but to phrase it like it is above (with no exceptions for the life of the mother, or even exceptions for rape/murder) is to make some sort of value judgement on others, specifically saying that the life of the mother isn't worth as much as the life of the unborn fetus. This is/was the old school Catholic view: a mom has 9 kids, is in a very difficult pregnancy with the option of abortion (to save the mother) or not (to save the fetus). The mom has been baptized, hence been saved, therefore she's going to heaven but the unbaptized fetus hasn't. So, save the fetus. In the meantime, you've got 10 kids now without a mother. That makes no sense to me, right up there with having no exceptions to the blanket "abortion is wrong" mentality. That's my somewhat unpopular opinion, amongst some at least.
  22. The old girl is going to be more and more of a money pit, I'm afraid. Get some good documentarians in there to video the heck out of it. Then make a first-class visitor's center with all that footage and other historic artifacts. As for the ship itself? Maybe tow it out into the gulf and make a reef. Let it be a source of life for the water creatures.
  23. Vote these dipshits out of office. All else is just sound and fury.
  24. It needs money, a lot of it, to keep it in good shape. That may be in the form of admissions tickets, funds from the state, private donations, whatever. It's an old ship that won't improve any with age. I get it. It's named Texas and has served the United States in big wars, but the time comes for an end to everything.
