  1. How in the fuck could anybody be against this? As in, not 100% for? Seriously, how?
  2. Congratulations, modern-day dipshits: you've successfully ruined a once well regarded political party and have severely dented the reputation of Christianity. No wonder the younger set hates the GOP and evangelicals. I don't blame them.
  3. The 7th Fleet does have a history of poor management and incompetence when it comes to navigation. I'll withhold judgment until I see the dash cam video....
  4. Maybe for you and your ilk. America really has gone to the shitter with this mentality. Time to move to Scandinavia.
  5. So in the words of Trump: Ohio is a shit-hole state.
  6. Yeah, I disagree. Big time.
  7. Dylan isn't the best singer, that's for sure. But his work is hardly "hippie poet nonsense".
  8. Yeah, I completely agree. Depending on your tastes, you may find it good or bad that the Beatles veered off from that basic blues influence. Lennon and Harrison were the real creatives, imo. McCartney was great but imo he didn't do it solo like Lennon did. I still remember where I was when I heard that Lennon died. Same with SRV. I sound like people who talk about Elvis, I know.
  9. Lol. And he can ball. Or, could ball.
  10. Yeah, and the work he did with Nick Lowe/Dave Edmunds/Rockpile was not bad, either. Girls Talk was a great pop song. Elvis deserves some respect, imo.
  11. I guess this is technically titled "shit you just don't get" but it also has "over-rated" in the headline. You may not "get" Prince but he sure as hell isn't over-rated. He was a modern-day Mozart. Brilliant. Writer, musician, and performer. Weird, yes. But the music that guy bestowed upon us? Priceless.
  12. I hear ya, I really do. The Beatles, like the Rolling Stones, were blues influenced but the Stones carried it off so much better. What I can give to the Beatles is that they did have an original sound. I didn't like all of it, but it was creative. Maybe it was the drugs. For them, not me.
  13. Lol. You and me both, brother. That list just keeps getting longer and longer.
  14. You need to learn the difference between "infer" and "imply".
  15. Switzer is light years ahead of you.
  16. Yep. "As Ronald Brownstein pointed out in The Atlantic, older Democrats prefer a more moderate candidate who they think can win. Younger Democrats prefer a more progressive candidate who they think can bring systemic change. The generation gap is even more powerful when it comes to Republicans. To put it bluntly, young adults hate them."
  17. Which people? The clergy who committed the deed? The hierarchy who covered it up? The laity who still support this organization? All three? How anybody can be a Catholic (or Southern Baptist) is beyond me. Atheists have a much better moral code.
  18. For face "stubble", you know, keeping that Sonny Crockett look going. I got a cheapo dealio at Costco. (Philips Norelco yada yada yada) What do y'all recommend?
  19. Like I say to the evangelicals who refuse to accept evolution and think Trump is Jesus 2.0: you can believe whatever the hell you want to believe.
  20. Lol. Yeah, I get it. Obama fucked up so that justifies you deep-throating Trump. There are a lot like you.
  21. I don't wish this, but maybe I do: Bru McCoy is Ryan Leaf 2.0.
  22. Stand Your Ground!!1!! But seriously, You told you that you would be liable?
  23. Let's peel this onion back a few layers. Would municipalities enact rlc's if there weren't a financial payoff for them? Probably not. But that does not mean it's the whole point, imo. Whether you (or others) choose to admit it, there are some (or at times) positive aspects to the rlc's. Those positive aspects do play a part in this. Are the number of accidents reduced? Maybe, maybe not, but there are data to suggest that the type of accident is less dangerous (rear-end vs. t-bone). And, in my town, it has cured the problem of intersection gridlock. That alone is worth it, imo, at least at that particular intersection.
  24. Yeah, slorch is a full-blown aggy.
  25. So? One can make a lot of generalizations "as a group". If a student works hard they can get a lot out of a cc. And save a lot of money. I'm not saying that a cc is the best way to go, but it is a viable way. How the student handles it is up to them.
