  1. Think Dee should have went for the back hand instead of rounding it off. I didnā€™t see a good replay tho.
  2. I saw him first in Beautiful Boy and thought he did really good. Then the following year with The King I thought he had the potential to be a big star. Watching him in Dune makes me want to watch The King again.
  3. Maybe he meant Lefau. He is from Hawaii, not California, but has been mentioned as one of our best young linebackers we have.
  4. My youth pick would be Canham at Oregon st. He doesnā€™t have any skins on the wall like Vitello does but I think heā€™s a really good coach. I wouldnā€™t want to touch Vitello and the culture he creates.
  5. Kimble, a D1 hitter but a walk-on catcher.
  6. Probably should have played through the short hop and go from there. Tougher to get 2 that way tho
  7. I think Alonso said his throttle was messing up and he was having to use a ton of effort to not slow down. I donā€™t know if he mentioned it before the crash but he did right after
  8. Thatā€™s what you took from my post? Yikes
  9. I blame the avatar guy
  10. Not even watching the ball off the bat is a baller move.
  11. At this rate Iā€™m not sure Danny makes it to the triple header of Spain, Austrian, and British GPā€™s. Sad to see because Danny is one of the main reasons I got into F1 but at this point heā€™s waisting a seat for younger talent.
  12. Palps was doing his thing in the shadows, methodically working through his plan to destroy the Jedi. It wasnā€™t out in the open. The pompous jedi were not going to search every angle to find the sith. They wouldnā€™t even listen to Dooku. Had they put their egos to the side, they might have found the sith hiding right under their nose. That is a completely different scenario than how this show is presenting seeing dark side users in the open and labeling them sith (Iā€™m going off what Headland said on wanting create sith story). I wouldnā€™t be against the order doing a cover up or just blatantly disregarding what theyā€™re seeing, although the latter would place them high on the inept scale.
  13. Itā€™s such a complex story and super difficult to tell through film. In a perfect world HBO would give DV or someone as talented all the budget money they need to make it a series. Thats really the only way to properly tell the whole story.
  14. Yeah that could work. DV has done a good job with his version thus far so Iā€™m just going to trust him and hopefully it lands.
  15. I just started the prophet section of the book, so I totally understand. I havenā€™t got to your other bullet points, but sheā€™s still a different character from where Iā€™m at. I can see why he didnā€™t have her support Paul there at the end because it would have confused the audience at that point. I bet in Messiah, we see her come around and support Paul, which would be more true to her character in the book.
  16. Hereā€™s an explanation from himself. I donā€™t necessarily get the guy tweeting tho. Everyone Iā€™ve talked to understood the message quite clearly from the movies pov.
  17. He has horrible discipline at the plate, which you donā€™t need a stat to see. Theres a difference between being aggressive and having horrible plate discipline. But Iā€™ll use stats from last season and I wonā€™t bother to compare it to the ā€˜21 season when he was a true freshman. Last year he hit .222 in conference play with 12 RBIā€™s and an OPS of .622. Overall he had an avg of .284 with 37 RBIā€™s and an OPS .794. That means the majority of his damage came against non-conference opponents, which were very meh outside of the very beginning, and the postseason. He didnā€™t do nothing in Arlington, but did pretty good in the postseason. If you want to hang your hat on five postseason games at the end of the season, then go ahead. Hell Daly had one of his best stretches in those five games as well. But right now Iā€™m looking at a guy with a .209 avg with 11 RBIā€™s and an OPS of .655. My whole deal with Kennedy is that I believe he should get more run to see if thereā€™s a sizable difference between him and Jack. Coming in later in the ball game isnā€™t going to do that. If he proves that there isnā€™t much difference at all, then platoon them with method of whoeverā€™s hot.
  18. Ultimately going to agree to disagree here. Like Hobbes has already said, reasonable level isnā€™t what Iā€™d describe Oā€™Dowd as. Heck, I hope your last little paragraph isnā€™t true because Oā€™Dowd would more than likely not fit Pierceā€™s definition of a capable hitter. Iā€™m looking at Oā€™Dowd holistically and not what heā€™s done against poor pitching the last couple of weekends. Again heā€™s had some nice, timely ABā€™s but then heā€™s also looked like a complete buffoon at the plate. Guessing will only get you so far and it never adds up to consistency. Iā€™m not necessarily saying we have to drop him for the rest of season. I just would like to see a young kid with potential get a handful of games in a row against a soft part of the schedule to see what heā€™s got. Already weā€™ve seen Dee gives us more range, albeit with some freshmen wtf moments but thatā€™s to expected and with more reps we could see that issue fade. At the plate itā€™s still up in the air imo. Dee has shown competitiveness at the plate and maybe that translates into more hits. Iā€™d like to find out. If not then you know exactly what Oā€™Dowd brings and Pierce can roll with the engagement/rotating between the two.
  19. In the book when Stilgar tells Jamisā€™s ā€œwifeā€ that Paul will now look after her and decide what relationship they will have, her immediate reaction to Paul is heā€™s basically boy. And Stilgar is like yeah but he kicked Jamisā€™s ass tho so deal with it.
  20. The thing with Dee is he has a ton of potential and could be a good player for us later in the year but the only way that can happen is if he gets plenty of reps. We know what Oā€™Dowd brings to the table. Pedestrian defense and a very hot or cold bat. I mean at times itā€™s not even game to game but rather AB to AB. He could pull a double down the line and next AB look completely lost against the same pitcher.
  21. Are Greg and Kieth going to the SEC with us for home games?
