  1. Yep, thatā€™s what Iā€™ve seen as well. With the way itā€™s been with McLaren I donā€™t believe heā€™ll want to come back. You can see heā€™s not having a good time through that smile, which must be killing him. I just donā€™t understand why itā€™s not been better with him when the car has been fine. Even though it was rough at the beginning, Danny really started to get it in gear with Renault towards the end with ā€˜20 finishing fifth in points. Where did that driver go? The downhill turn seemed to quick in ā€˜21 with McLaren. To your other point, I can see that. But I havenā€™t been following F1 long enough to know what drivers do once they start to go downhill and look for other options.
  2. Iā€™m just now seeing that Dannyā€™s DRS was stuck in the open position and he had to pit so they could manually fix it to where he could no longer use it because they feared it would get stuck again. Also had 2 pits longer than 4 seconds. McLaren is not helping Danny at all even though thereā€™s enough blame for both sides, and because of this I think thereā€™s a zero percent chance Danny comes back with McLaren next year.
  3. The fucking comments by Silas and Faltine
  4. Right, I always viewed Texas the same way. Never thought of us as a villain, just a well respected and successful program that everyone tryā€™s really hard to beat. Football may be a little different though.
  5. Is Texas really hated the same way people hated Tennessee this year?
  6. Holy balls this race!!!
  7. @Burt Macklin gotta be nervous right now knowing Ferrari is going to find a way to screw this up.
  8. Here is a fan view. Absolutely wild that heā€™s okay.
  9. Iā€™ve watched CW and Rebels twice, the same with Parks&Rec, the Office and other shows that I really enjoy. Iā€™m not defending Kenobi left and right because the show obviously has its flaws. But to say that people linking it and defending why they do, somehow means they havenā€™t seen the CW or Rebels is a stretch imo. Itā€™s entirely possible to like two separate things man. The CW is far from a perfectly crafted story with the movie being crap and the first 2 seasons being rough. Fans even made a viewing guide for CW so we could sift through all the unnecessary episodes and watch it in chronological order.
  10. He doesnā€™t know shit. Heā€™s just posting what idiots on boards like IT are saying. There has been no solid evidence whatsoever of ā€œlocker room turmoilā€. It has all stems from fans that had their hands in their pants all preseason long with the number 1 ranking and amazing pitching staff etcā€¦ Season didnā€™t turnout liked they had hoped so they need to find a reason why to justify their anger. Coaches leave, players portal and boom, they can manufacture a simple reason as to why we didnā€™t win the WS.
  11. I donā€™t know if it was actually him but Austin Wood got on IT today to say that he doesnā€™t know anyone on the staff(never even met Allen) and is also not close to the program anymore.
  12. Have a friend who likes Star Wars but isnā€™t really into it like the most of us here. His deal is more Lord of the Rings type stuff, so I like to think he can give an honest review. He basically gave Obi-Wan a 7 with the Vader & Obi-Wan scenes taking in a bulk of the rating. On the whole itā€™s better than Boba and not quite the level of Mando. I think thatā€™s a fair assessment of the show.
  13. The whole college degree thing is dumb for a guy like Tulo.
  14. An MLB guy moving to the armpit for double his current salary, but really nothing to do with Tulo. Tulo denying the LSU assistant job had nothing to do with it being located in a shit hole. It goes with what @Rickylovesweedis saying, if Tulo really wanted to move up in the coaching world he would have taken the LSU job last year but he didnā€™t.
  15. Well this guy is. He did coach in the SEC a couple times before so he may okay with it.
  16. The Stanford stadium is the softball field. Point still stands tho.
  17. Yeah, he probably checked out USC and realized how big of an uphill battle it was going to be.
  18. One of the best is when Luke sees his parents burnt to a crisp and thatā€™s it. Off to Mos Eisley.
  19. Youā€™re like that cool kid who always had awesome birthday partyā€™s except it has carried over to your adulthood. Lucky bastard, have fun!
  20. The booster thing could be something lost in translation. Did the booster push hard for Allen to be let go? Probably not. Did the booster subtlety let Pierce know thereā€™s enough backing, if he chooses to fire Allen, to go and get a big name guy? Maybe more likely. Thereā€™s just no way Pierce doesnā€™t have a big name guy in his sights that is attainable.
  21. Thatā€™s fair about the successes that Disney produced but there still is a ton of fans that canā€™t grasp what they loved as a kid, doesnā€™t always translate to adulthood(Iā€™m not directing this towards you or anyone in particular, more so the general SW fan base). Most OT fans hated the PT and most OT & PT fans hate the ST. While most kids loved their trilogy as a kid, whichever era it was in. This is because itā€™s hard to like what we did as a kid 20 years later. Iā€™m not going to be able to recapture the feeling I had as kid when I first saw the OT with anything new now that Iā€™m older. Thatā€™s why itā€™s hard to watch SW fans hate on certain stuff, and compare it to the OT when this was written for an important moment with Leia and Han in RTJ: Thatā€™s just awful in a key moment and there is more all over the OT. Itā€™s ok tho because SW isnā€™t trying to be the God Father with its dialogue, just give us great moments here and there to help capture the audience. And Iā€™m not a hater for anyone that thinks Kenobi is lacking heavily because there certainly is areas where it is. In particular I donā€™t think Revaā€™s ending saved her overall story, she simply was not good imo. I donā€™t know if it was the actress or the way she was written or both. @mdmost has it right, the more Disney dips their toes in existing characters/storyā€™s, the harder itā€™s going to be to get most of the SW fan base behind it.
  22. I think itā€™s fine for a person to feel indifferent towards the continuity issues they may see, especially if theyā€™ve been here since day one. Thatā€™s a long ass time to think one thing and then all of the sudden maybe tinker with it to try and create a grander picture of the overall story. The biggest issue Iā€™ve seen here and everywhere else is that fans are split on the relationship between Leia and Obi-Wan and how it connects with ANH, which imo is fair. For me, I see the hologram recording to Obi-Wan as a plea for help in a time of war. There wasnā€™t a unified rebellion at the time of this series like the one we see in a ANH. When we see Leiaā€™s hologram message the empire is at its peak of full power and now holds a massive planet killer weapon. Itā€™s war time. So maybe Leia thought that by referencing the clone wars she could convey the type of situation the galaxy is in. They needed someone who was considered a great general in a time of war that could help defeat the evil empire. You could say this is moving the goal post but I donā€™t care it is what it is at this point.
  23. Yep, powerful moment between Vader and Obi-Wan. Itā€™s basically telling Luke what happened straight from man himself.
