  1. He’s a redshirt freshman which is the same as Arch. Nico has been good against lower quality opponents and they rely heavily on their run game against better opponents. They also have a stout defense like us. Year 3 Ewers should definitely be better than RF Nico, but I’m not sure if Arch would have done more although from what limited action I’ve seen from both Arch>Nico.
  2. I would have simply kept my mouth shut. Lando is arguably in the fastest car and had a shot at the title. He can’t be fucking around and folding under pressure. The guy is a great driver but there seems to be something mentally keeping him from taking the next step.
  3. What a shit show for today.
  4. Never got the hype with their gloves.
  5. There have been at least 3 holding calls on Gunnar that were him just dominating the defensive guy. The Vandy one being the most egregious call.
  6. I hope Sark isn’t even entertaining that thought. The best should play or else leaving a guy in that struggles to throw the ball down field is more effective in making him look like a poor developer and overall decision maker. Sark has easily highlighted Ewers and his ability to play qb at a high level. At this point it’s up to Ewers to show he can do it consistently enough. It’s a mental thing that is not always coachable for a player, some guys have and others don’t. It sucks for a guy like Ewers, who by all means has given everything to this program and university but we have a championship caliber team right now. Sark needs to know what exactly he’s going to get from his Qb for 4 quarters, not 2 or 2 1/2, but all 4.
  7. 1st & 15 or 20 is the best way to get a drive going you idiot.
  8. Idk. This was from today.
  9. James May all by himself in his bunker with some beer. He’ll be belting some random facts like the wood inside a Bentley only comes the side of a cliff in Asia.
  10. Agree although the offense does take a more dynamic dimension when Arch is on the field. What Ewers could be is kinda not relative at this point. Probably a better comparison.
  11. Reminds me of Dabo with Kelly and Lawrence. Kelly needed to progress and show that he could lead a very talented team to a championship. Lawrence came along with not as much playing time as Arch but when he was on the field it became more obvious and almost inevitable. By week 4 Lawrence was named the starter. It’s time to shape up or ship out for Ewers. Sark didn’t recruit the portal and high school levels at an elite as he did to watch Ewers start slow against good defenses.
  12. You can’t be coming in here spewing no one knows what they’re talking about, and then comment like this on a video that is so obvious of Ewers having bad pocket presence. You do realize you can maneuver the pocket multiple times in one play, right? This is a drill they probably do religiously in practice. Drop back, slide right or left, and step up. I’m sure there are videos of Ewers doing all he can in the pocket to avoid the rush last night but this isn’t one of those.
  13. Connor basically stone walls him by the time Ewers is done with his drop back. He’s honestly barely reacting to what you’re saying.
  14. Here’s the play where Ewers should have stepped up in the pocket.
  15. I could be mistaken but on the sack that Banks gave up close to our endzone, the one where he basically man handled the guy to the ground, Ewers had plenty of room to step up in the pocket. I thought Banks looked shocked Ewers was still that deep in the pocket.
  16. I mean no matter how Danny got the seat, he still had a successful career and had a major impact on the sport as a whole. The same should go for Perez, who should also not be in the seat he’s currently in. It was objectively shitty how VCARB and Red Bull handled this situation. They couldn’t even do the bare minimum.
  17. I think so. If Red Bull had went through with their original plan, the constructors might be attainable with Danny. I’m not really mad at Checo tho because by this point he’s one of a handful of drivers that shouldn’t be in F1 right now.
  18. This sucks. Red Bull needs to get this over with and make it official. A 13 year veteran with a successful career can’t even get a proper send off.
  19. Good for Danny getting fastest lap on what could be his final lap in F1.
  20. Right and although Marko said VCARB is its own thing now, it was obvious what should have happened after Danny got hurt last year and Lawson showed what he could do. The summer break didn’t help Red Bull either.
