  1. Reva, calling it now. Or some random character.
  2. There is a theory going around that says every episode reflects off the first six movies. Luke acting like he’s pod racing for episode 1, clone in episode 2(That’s a reach), Anakin vs Obi wan/fire episode 3 and the most recent that seemed obvious for ANH. (Obi wan coming out of the water perfectly dry after fighting the storm trooper was an homage to Luke coming out of the trash compactor perfectly dry.) If this is true, that must mean we’ll see some force ghost action coming up.
  3. I’ve said it before but last year our middle of the pen didn’t have to pitch big innings. Now those guys are not stepping up this year to replace what we lost. You can say that is coaching or the guys just aren’t as talented than we originally thought, either way there’s a problem.
  4. Maybe for like 1 out in the 9th but leaving Pete in would have done more harm than good with the command he had today. But it’s not like we have Cole, Witt and freshman nixion in the pen and decided to go with Zane.
  5. I dunno but it seems odd that a coach would give up knowing he has the best lineup at Texas in forever and plenty of time to crawl back into it.
  6. Stevens wasn’t necessarily a bad call. Get him out there to pitch clean and quick. Go into the ninth down 1 with hot bats and momentum. Stevens can still pitch a healthy amount if we need him to.
  7. I mean you do realize in the novelization of return of the Jedi it says obi wan and Lars were brothers. Plus, obi wan tells Luke that anakin didn’t know padme was pregnant till after he became Vader. This was a novel straight from the OT movies that contradicts the prequels. George & Co. could have gone off of this but still chose to go into a different direction. I’ve read the new Thrawn books and they are fantastic. Disney could easily go off of that material and make a good trilogy but they probably won’t because it’s Disney.
  8. I don’t think it’s fair to compare the lord of the rings to Star Wars. The makings of that trilogy already had a well thought out plan with the novels that came before. George made Star Wars on what inspired him and his ideas. Hell, he didn’t even think it was going to end up being a trilogy until after it was released. Star Wars for the most part has never been cohesive. The guy that wrote Leia to say “my mother died when I was young but she was beautiful” then later on in the prequels the same guy shows us that Leia couldn’t have remembered her mother. Star Wars for the most part has had average writing at best with some awesome moments in between. ESB obviously being the outlier. That movie was so damn good from a writing and directional perspective.
  9. it was a bad choreographed and shot sequence that fans jokingly labeled the “force kick”.
  10. I may be in the minority here but I’ve never been hardcore about the finer details in Star Wars. I mean, we watched Leia in a new hope have a British accent for the first 30 min of the movie then American for the rest. Then there’s Luke’s “force kick” blooper that was done hilariously bad. The list is endless for a franchise worth billions but still seems to goof up shit along the way.
  11. I’ve never read where Ahsoka was supposed to die early in the clone wars. Do you mean in order 66? Because George wanted her dead from the purge but Filoni wanted something different which is what we got.
  12. Read the last 2 or 3 pages and it was a beating. Kenobi makes the boba fett series look like it was directed by Tommy Wiseau. And boba imo didn’t receive the kind of criticism kenobi is right now. I really believe that kenobi as a character is super relatable to Star Wars fans and that plays a big role as to why he’s up there in the ranks. So when we finally got a show with him as the main character, the bar was going to be set super high for Disney. I think overall they’re doing a pretty good job with some questionable calls here or there but that’s Star Wars. Have fun and if you can’t then wait till they come out with a crap ton of other stuff later.
  13. Kenobi: What have you become? Vader: I am what you made me.
  14. I agree, maybe scared wasn’t the best way to describe what he was feeling. He didn’t want any part of that fight though.
  15. Missed opportunity for “hello there”
  16. Props to Disney for keeping Vader dark. That kid getting his neck snapped while trying to save his dad was brutal. I’m also digging the execution of Kenobi’sframe of mind. He was absolutely shaken at the end of episode 2 hearing about Anakin still being alive and then actually seeing him now scared the crap out of him. Kenobi will be ready if they fight each other again for this series which will be just fantastic.
  17. Yep. They got a bunch of their runs and hits off of guys that won’t see a ton of action this regional. Hopefully.
  18. This team is pretty good in some areas and severely lacking in other areas. It’s pointless to go back and forth on what this team will do in the postseason because of that fact. You’ve gotta go into this postseason with open mind and accept that anything can happen. But right now let’s comeback and beat these meth heads.
  19. Wow, I didn’t realize it was that bad. Might as well have been two separate races.
  20. That was awesome!! The last scene was badass!
