  1. It's like old people who can't admit their 35 year old children are now adults. If they're kids are actually adults that would mean they themselves are OLD and that's simply not possible. aggy can't admit that Texas was a much better team than they thought by the end of the season. Since they can't possibly admit the obvious truth, they twist themselves into knots trying to rationalize, excuse and outright fantasize their way into some absurd alternate narrative.
  2. I went to SEC Rant to check the pulse of LSU fans on the upcoming game. Found aggy talking boycott of the entire site since they are so put upon (poooooor aggyyyyyyyyyy!) A Day Without aggy. That will show them how important we are! Woop! https://www.secrant.com/rant/texas-a-m-sports/proposed-moratorium-on-rant-posting/84859405/
  3. As long as the ball remains in the QB's hands, the DBs have to honor the threat and cover downfield. LSU keeps their corners in man technique close to 100% of the time. If you can simulate a passing threat long enough to get them out of their backpedal, they can be taken out of run support with their backs turned to the QB.
  4. The formula for the composite weights the highest ranked recruits more heavily than those that are lower ranked. The top ranked recruit for each school has the greatest weighting, the 2nd ranked slightly less and so on. So Texas may have a higher average rating but Georgia has 3 commits rated as 5-stars. @Huckleberry had a full explanation on the old board but that thread is probably covered in crap by now.
  5. Chinese people are very proud of their long history and many traditions. They claim to have 5,000 years of history. The problem is they really have the same 50 years of history repeated over and over again. In similar fashion aggy simply repeats the same history but in cycles lasting the tenure of one coach. These certainly aged well. The more things change the more they stay the same in aggyland.

  7. Like everything else about the man, his commitment video was very understated. Write up on his commitment: https://247sports.com/college/texas/Article/Texas-Longhorns-football-recruiting-four-star-WR-Quentin-Johnston-commits-2020-class-Tom-Herman-134399787/
  8. The bot must be down. Nevertheless...
  9. 3-4 OOC auto-wins every year. Arkansas, Ole Miss and S. Carolina every year. Win 2 out of 3 against the SEC dregs and they are bowl eligible most seasons. In really tough years where they only have 3 putrid OOC games and only win 2 against the cellar dwellers, aggy just needs one game from Auburn, MSU, 2nd SEC East team to get bowl eligible. Even for aggy they have to try really hard to not be at least 6-6.
  10. aggy says Hi!
  11. Wait. You mean it's not just magazine covers?
  12. Bold talk from the #106 pass efficiency D in the nation...
  13. "SEC sized" = Fatball(TM)
  14. Yep. The GIF that keeps on giving...
  15. In aggy's collective little brain it's obviously Georgia's fault that Texas scored 48 on OU in the Cotton Bowl.
  16. Gotta love how they have an OG lined up at one OT spot and a TE lined up at the other tackle. Is this self-awareness creeping in or just ironically prophetic?
  17. how aggy sees head to head recruiting: reality:
  18. Yep see Slant-Corner double moves repeatedly against TCU/
  19. Just wait until aggy De commit Season. Even last year with the new coach hype bump they lost 4 guys late in the process - 3 of them right into NSD1. Their norm typically is 6 de-commits and they may return to that now that the new coach smell is wearing off.
  20. Let's use your assumptions for just a second. Treat OU as a weaker team than UGa. How does that make beating a truly mediocre Auburn team more impressive than beating OU. I notice you completely forgot to mention they were the best offense in the country last year by a considerable margin. And while OU's defense is below average, the devastating offenses they faced made them look worse than that. Just look at what happened to every SEC defense vs their season average when forced to play a Big XII team during bowl season.
  21. If you haven't read past the headlines I understand your confusion on the "lost 8 starters issue." One of the replacements already outplayed the starter at his position last season. Malcolm Roach had 2.7 tackles per game vs 2.2 for Hager. Roach also holds up well enough against the run that he's used as a situational NT who can pass rush on long yardage downs. Ossai at LB not only started in the Sugar Bowl. He was the leading tackler in that game. Another "replacement" is BJ Foster who had 43 tackles last season and also started and played well in the Sugar Bowl. Those will all be upgrades from last year's starters. Texas uses a rotation at NT. Coburn beat out the remaining half of last year's rotation to claim the starter's spot. Graham at the other DE spot played well in limited action. Not concerned about either of those positions. The CB situation gives me some concern because we are replacing both starters. The new starters look good but it's a critical position and they have to prove they can be consistent. 2 LB spots are my biggest concern but that's mostly against very deceptive offenses with really good passing QBs like ISU, Baylor and maybe OU and OSU this year.
  22. Texas is recovering from 3 straight losing seasons under Charlie Strong. You're citing the first game coming off a 7-6 season. Yet in year 2 of the Herman regime once they got their feet under them the Longhorns beat a CFP team and Georgia. Our 2nd best win was the same as LSU's best with the difference that LSU got them in Baton Rouge. LSU's 2nd best win was against Auburn who had a losing record against P5 teams going into the bowl. The SEC hype causes people to overrate their schedule. After years of problems, Texas is building back towards regular 10-win seasons. Last year was a good step but many issues were not resolved yet in week 1. Some of them are still not resolved yet Texas played well last year. I'd be much more concerned about LSU's inability to stop a truly mediocre aggy passing attack late in the season with a better secondary than you'll have this year.
