  1. And 40% of Georgia's yards came in the 4th Q when Texas was perfectly willing to trade space for time.
  2. Looks like they've gone to Pale Nimbus. Did they change the background from bone to eggshell?
  3. Don't forget UGa's pride and joy: their running game. before the bowl: 249 YPG, 6.03 per carry vs Texas: 72 yards, 2.40 per carry vs LSU: 113 yards, 3.77 per carry vs Bama: 153 yards, 3.92 per carry
  4. LSU had the luxury of playing 4 bad defenses OOC plus the 7 OT game. I guess they should get a consolation prize for the refs screwing them at A&M. Let's look at how LSU ACTUALLY did against their SEC slate shall we? 22 pts @ Auburn. 45 vs Ole Miss, 19 @ Florida, 36 vs Georgia (with help from 5 turnovers), 19 vs MSU, ZERO vs Alabama, 24 @ Arkansas and 72 @ A&M (31 in regulation). Looks like 24.5 PPG in regulation for SEC play. Which of those offensive performances are supposed to impress us again?
  5. LSU plays in a conference full of primitive offenses that make an opposing D look good. Things look a lot different when they run into competent, modern offenses. Georgia was averaging 18.5 PPG before the bowl. Texas put 28 on them even trying to run the clock out for most of the 2nd half. Bama gave up 14.8 PPG. OU scored 34 and Clemson 44 against them. Mizzou's D averaged 24.4 PPG. Okie Lite barely qualified for a bowl game. The Cowboys had a 3-6 record in the Big XII and scored 38 points. Vandy surrendered 25.1 PPG. Like OSU, Baylor barely qualified and had a losing record in the Big XII. The Bears put up 45 in the bowl. Objectively, Big XII offenses were much better than those of the SEC in the 4 inter-conference bowl games. Texas outscored UGa's average by 9.5 points. OU went 19.2 points over Alabama's average. OSU was a lower tier Big XII team and exceeded Missouri's average by 13.6 points. Baylor another lower tier team from the Big XII beat Vandy's average defensive effort by 19.9 points. On the flip side of the coin, Texas averaged 31.1 points scored with 28 vs Georgia. IOW, the 2nd rated defense in the SEC was 3 points tougher than the average defense in the Big XII. Alabama did manage to keep OU 15 points under their average but that average was so high that Bama looked merely above average, not utterly dominant as they did against the SEC's crap offenses. OSU was right on their average so Mizzou performed like an average Big XII defense. Finally Baylor was scoring 28.3 PPG coming into the bowl. Vandy's D was 17 points worse than the average D in the Big XII. When you look at actual outcomes, it's clear that any claim of tough defense in the SEC is the result of how bad the offenses are in that league. The same defenses look MUCH worse when pitted against modern, well-coached offenses - even those with significantly less talent. Put SEC teams through a Big XII schedule and I guarantee you that most of them would give up north of 30 PPG. The proof is in the pudding even if it is a bitter pill for the SEC homers to swallow.
  6. It's even worse than that. OU and ND did not have a common opponent so the idiot is trying to pretend that Bama = Clemson to confirm his bias. If we were to apply the ACTUAL transitive property, ND lost to Clemson by 27 and Bama lost by 28. Those teams had comparable outcomes and one could make a case that they were of similar quality. OU on the other hand lost to Bama by 11 and it was a lot worse than the final score. Transitive property would say the Sooners are 40 points worse than Clemson and 12 points worse than ND.
  7. ND played a much better opponent than OU faced. Moose out front should have told you.
  8. OU was never competitive. They got crushed from the opening whistle. They had ZERO chance to win because their defense was so bad. Who cares if OU was scoring on every drive. So was Bama and they were doing it EASILY. That's why the Sooners were never going to catch up. Nobody shares your little fantasy world. The only times OU had the ball in the 2nd half they were down by 3 scores.
  9. Here's a more comprehensive list of those missing from yesterday's practice. It's Yuuuuge: https://www.tigerdroppings.com/lsu-football/more-potential-starters-missing-from-lsus-practice-on-wednesday-august-7/84744148/
  10. So it's like Charismatics but the voices in their heads are real?
  11. Combine that with a heavy dose of FCS and G5 in the non-conference schedule. It's the only reason they're even bowl eligible most years. aggy pretty much defines Delusions of Adequacy.
  12. This is all pathetic fantasy and excuse making. Your argument amounts to "if we hadn't sucked so much we would have won." OU didn't have much of a "comeback" at all. Their horrid defense managed ONE stop then they traded scoring drives for the rest of the 2nd half.
  13. So other then the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?!?
  14. aggy is getting borderline 3/4 star guys. Just like the kid that KU thinks they "stole" from Herman. Those guys might turn out to be good players but there is no reason to think the Texas staff preferred them over the players they actually committed.
  15. OU was NEVER in the game against Bama. The differential peaked out at 4 scores. After that, it simply alternated between a 3 score game and a 2 score game depending on who had the ball most recently. The Sooners were doomed by their terrible defense which couldn't stop anyone. Both teams had the ball for 4 drives in the 2nd half. OU managed to force one punt in the 3rd Q. They never came close to stopping a drive by the Tide after that. Bama's 2nd and 3rd drives of the half went for a combined 17 plays, 133 yds, 2 TDs and 9:30 TOP. Most damningly, OU's defense was so bad they couldn't even get Saban's offense into a 3rd down once. They were never in a position to set up a stop, much less actually get one. The Sooner D got completely run over. Fortunately for them, Bama was content to just run out the last 4:30 of the game. They pretty much told OU they were running it every down and still moved it at will: 4 first downs and game over. That Alabama team was clearly superior to Oklahoma and it wasn't close. That same Alabama team got whipped just as badly as Notre Dame when those teams both faced Clemson. Based on actual results Notre Dame could make a case that they were a good match for Alabama. OU doesn't belong in that conversation.
  16. They recruit combo guards so they can play either position.
  17. Nothing like telling people you have no NFL talent on your defense to create chemistry in the locker room. And by chemistry I mean nitroglycerin at a low boil.
  18. A fish (camp) cucks from the head down...
  19. Why am I picturing the post-Soviet "Unified Team" at the 1992 Olympics? aggy would be Uzbekistan.
  20. Unless they set the bar really low, Jimbo will just walk under it standing upright.
  21. It might be the business equivalent of finding a fat chick to stand next to.
