  1. In addition, it is not a “romantic” or cool experience in any way. Literally the biggest waste of money on an NYC trip. Spend that money on any other activity.
  2. Dude…I just read this entire thread in one sitting. Nothing but respect for you. Your progress, commitment, and honesty are truly moving. So, not only did you broker my mortgage, you have inspired me big time. Also…the 5x5 is a great plan for you. It is exactly what I was hoping you’d choose as I read through the thread. When you are ready for something different in a couple of months, check out Jim Wendler’s “Boring but Big” 5/3/1 program. It will really help with hypertrophy aka making your muscles bigger. I know you said what you look like is not important to you, but it genuinely feels good to fill out the cuffs on a T-shirt, haha.
  3. Grind into a paste then mail to an enemy Seriously though, those things are pure misery and gasoline
  4. Is he opening the bar or just licensing his name? Wes Welker tried that in OKC and it bombed
  5. Hall of Fame page
  6. Headed to NYC in October with wife and 10 yr old daughter. I’ve looked through the thread and noted several recommendations, but Any current recommendations for a hotel that you’ve stayed at and liked? Or, is there a neighborhood/area you recommend? Our main criteria are safe/clean/quiet, close to a subway stop, and budget in $500-600 (#surlypoor). It may be that I just pick a chain and a good location, but I’d love to hear from you all. Last year we ended up in Times Square, not because #tourist but just got a good deal. It was fine, but it was a minor beating to wade through a crowd every time we left the hotel, especially with a kid. Hoping to end up somewhere central-ish but maybe a bit quieter. funny side note: we get out of the car in the grocery store parking lot the other day, and my kid says, “It smells like New York!” I look around, and someone nearby is spending their lunch break lighting up. She nailed it
  7. Leon Lett catching strays in there!!!
  8. You wished it into existence my man. The Bear will be on Fox next year. His contract was up and he switched networks.
  9. Memphis has one of the faster locations I see.
  10. I just need someone else to weigh in…Scipio Tex could, um, benefit from a different cohost. The Boone guy clearly knows baseball since he played at such a high level. I try not to be overly critical about free content, but he’s just not great.
  11. S&P for the sandwich tomatoes is mandatory at the Moss household. And on the rare occasion that I include a salad in my home diet, seasoning each element is crucial, too. (Except the lettuce) Really makes a salad tolerable.
  12. Taco Mayo was serving seasoned potato rounds with tacos (and the taco burger) while Del Taco was still a gleam in its daddy’s eye. Or, we might say: Taco Mayo a) slams b) goes hard c) all of the above
  13. If the Cuban isn’t at least a 2 seed, I will either be 1) rioting or B) writing my congressman. And whoever said chopped brisket sandwich is a dark horse is a certified sharp. Put that thing up against an Italian Beef in round one and you have definite “12 upsetting a 5” vibes.
  14. I am just down the beach from you. Stay cool
  15. Just checking in from SPI. Great weather this week, seaweed has been a bit thick on the beach but otherwise been nice. Finally made it to Ceviche Ceviche for the first time after all these years. They have a little sit down place next door now. We had the classic ceviche, it was really good. I’m still a Los Tortugas fanboy. And the Botanas platter at Dirty Al’s still slams and goes hard. I also ate at The Palms for the first time. Props to the person up thread who said it’s the hidden gem of the island. Absolutely true. Everything was top notch—would highly recommend. After Memorial Day, the place cleared out and has not been too busy. There was a wreck on Saturday that slowed bridge traffic to a crawl but since then things have mellow. Here’s to a great summer.
  16. I tried the Caramel Cold Brew M&Ms this weekend. Not bad…coffee flavor is pretty subtle but adds up when you eat the bag in 2 minutes. So I hear, anyways.
  17. Since we’re on Scott Derry talk…I always wondered if he was related to Merton Hanks or maybe if they had the same chiropractor
  18. I forget who but someone called him “Football Joel Osteen” on Twitter and that just about nails it
  19. This is the clearest explanation of the tendency to give up 3rd (and 4th) and medium/long I’ve seen. Thanks homie
  20. At this point I’m firmly on board the S.S. Continuity for the defensive staff. The improvement has been clear and linear, not just year to year but through this season. Lots of reason to think another year with this staff and some development of people like Collins and Barron things will be humming. There are still some baffling game plans but fundamentals and confidence/aggression are clearly in place.
  21. You can’t be ser…wait…you are serious. Dude graduated high school in 2018 and very well might play again next year. Hopefully he has as much sense as Sam Ehlinger and moves on.
  22. Why can’t we just all agree that KSU’s alignment and the game context meant the play was doomed rather than argue about which direction we ran it? We ran it to the right side earlier in the game for a decent little gain, too.
  23. Cook played some but was obviously on some kind of pitch count. Absolutely need him at full availability for TCU even if he’s in a cast. Crawford got yanked after the first TCU touchdown, I believe. Coaches obv didn’t like him in coverage.
  24. Here’s some poor man’s adjusted stats for you: The last 3 QBs this D has faced have thrown for their conference high yardage against UT: Dekkers, Sanders, Martinez. For Dekkers and Martinez, it was season high. (sorry if you saw this in the game week thread too)
  25. I’ve been looking for a place to drop this tasty morsel. And by tasty morsel, I mean terrible factoid: The last 3 QBs this D has faced have thrown for their conference high yardage against UT: Dekkers, Sanders, Martinez. For Dekkers and Martinez, it was season high. Ouch.
