  1. Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida gerrymandering are so damn disappointing. Makes losing the NY gerrymander a back breaker.
  2. It happened just 20 years ago. The democrats had a terrible midterm while the in power W administration and republicans cleaned up. There is a precedent for it.
  3. The only interesting thing about Hawaii politics is who their new governor will be. I’m hoping it’s Green because he supports marijuana reform. Ige sucks balls for single handedly preventing the bluest or 2nd bluest state in the country from legalizing pot. Can’t wait until he’s gone. I want as many states and countries as possible to legalize weed and reap the benefits just to make the idiots who run Texas look bad.
  4. Why do they think it won’t hold? Too many land mines for the democrats between now and November?
  5. Are office buildings really empty? I’ve been reading about supposedly everyone going back to work now.
  6. What makes the Hawaii primary exciting?
  7. That’s what the Bush presidents are known for. Unpopular wars and an economy in the shitter.
  8. I’m just a regular guy. I’m never going to be rich. My mindset with tax cuts is always why do I want to save $100 while some family in south lake or highland park is saving 100,000? tax cuts favor the wealthy. It’s a policy where 80% of the benefit goes to the wealthy. The GOP is able to rope in low information voters like people who work at Walmart 40 hours a week ( nothing wrong with that just making a common example) with no educational background by distracting them with crap like abortion, their freedoms being “ under attack”, and owning the libs, but realistically these folks don’t gain anything personally by the GOP winning. it’s quite sad that probably close to 40% of Americans vote against their own self interests. I had a neighbor growing up who had some kind of disability with his eyes. He had a “nobama” sign in his yard in 2012. Mitt Romney was going to take away his disability benefits and he happily voted for the man like a fucking dumbass.
  9. Texas democrats are even worse than Florida democrats and that’s saying something.
  10. Of course people are going to hate taxes when a political party spends 90% of their effort and energy to “ cut taxes” while they have power. I can’t remember the last time the GOP tried to pass a major piece of legislation that wasn’t a tax cut. It’s all about helping the wealthy with those guys.
  11. Wow what a stupid bitch. All she knows how to do is yell, kick and scream loudly, and make a scene like her orange god.
  12. Anyone besides her immediate family who mourns, supports, or “fights” for this dead traitor is fucked up in the head too. It’s a harsh thing to say, but some people are just trash and need to be discarded as soon as possible. She was in this category.
  13. I wish Beto had security that would take these morons out into the parking lot and fuck them up bad. I don’t have an issue with a Republican going to a Beto event and asking some questions, but the ones who just want to cause trouble, scare and intimidate people are crossing the line.
  14. Is OAN still on the airwaves? They would be calling this guy an American hero.
  15. After seeing he was at the capitol on January 6th…… all I have to say is GOOD RIDDANCE.
  16. Dems need to blow these creepy stories up in the media until the election. Make the republicans pay for the pain and suffering they have inflicted.
  17. I do think it’s funny that people show up to Beto events just to troll or make a scene. Would anyone here go to an Abbott event just to start shit? id assume not because we all have lives for the most part.
  18. Realistically, we all know Beto probably isn’t going to win, but I’m a huge fan of the guy. He should always be remembered favorably for juicing democrat turn out in the state of Texas in off cycles 2 times in a row. We don’t have trouble getting people to show up for the presidential election, but we need all the help we can get turning people out for the midterms. Especially this one when Democrats are trying to beat back a “red wave”.
  19. He looks like he drives a truck, has guns, kills elephants, and screams MAGA on a daily basis.
  20. I used to take North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, heck even Iowa seriously, but Trump has changed the states so much and made them pretty red. Thank god Virginia, Colorado, Arizona, and Georgia are shifting the right way to counteract it.
  21. We are still finding out how much the political environment has changed due to the supreme courts ruling.
  22. Can’t wait to see a possible debate with this psycho.
  23. The GOP is running a terrible midterm campaign. Voters want to hear what you have to offer and all the GOPcis doing is pointing at the dems and blaming them for everyone’s problems. do you guys think the FBI raiding Mar-a-lago could help the GOP in 2022? I think it helps Trump in 2024 for sure. All of the MAGA zealots are lining up behind him like he’s still president.
  24. I remember 2010 and 2014. 2010 was the official “Obama hang over” election where democrats were still celebrating their historic win from 2008 and republicans are pissed off and showing up in droves as a huge backlash to 2008 and worried about the parties long term future. 2014 it seemed like nobody cared about voting except for the R zombies who go to the polls no matter what. Both elections seemingly couldn’t get a millennial democrat to show up to vote at all. This election feels different than those. I do think the Supreme Court ruling will be the dems version of the “ Kavanaugh effect”. How much can we limit the damage? I have no idea, but it does seem like Biden and the dems are on a roll right now and the GOP better watch out.
