  1. Oh it's real his detached shadow wears a hoodie for pants, how embarrasing
  2. I mean there were a lot of abortions yesterday, using this logic OU, Bama would be behind UT, and Ole Miss would have had the extenuating circumstances clause activated.
  3. There is only one version of events that allows Texas to make the playoff, and that is if during the offseason the committee was told that priority would be for Q1 wins (CFB equivalent of top 10 wins), aka odds to win the natty. Meaning they will go with the best teams, they already did it to punish FSU and we will see if they repeat it again (including leaving Ole Miss out entirely however extremely unlikely it would be), Bama last year was a bad precedent for us, but at the same time they did not have the Q1 wins that could vault them over SMU. Honestly I am not 100% on board, but it is mostly because while I think the team is way better than most it had a horrific road record and we would have to go to Eugene or South Bend which looks bleak.

I mean the committee has a lot to answer for if they punished anyone for an injury.
  5. I 100% agree that there should be a threat, but not 100% in on the change pushing the nuclear button, but if this does happen did Fox come away like bandits the monster ratings game this year, and switching Austin with Ann Arbor last year.

I am so fucking glad that the only ones that can poach our coach is the NFL, they decide after the season and they would not poach our roster.
  7. Again if Texas is in top 12 with only BYU and Bama in front I think that is the open door, that means Miami/ND et al is outside the 12, signaling that they are out. The seasons is over for everyone except the conference champ participants.
  8. I mean I would not say it is final final, but it does open a really big door, Bama is guarded by the cycle of Georgia > Texas > OU > Bama > Georgia, but if they lose the CCG they lost that chain it would be a clean line of Texas > Bama based on big opponents.
  9. I am pretty sure we will get a really good idea on tuesday, unless Texas jumps minimum into the top 12 with both Bama and BYU in front, if not it seems like the committee has decided we are out.
  10. Here is per state polling of Trump https://www.newsweek.com/map-donald-trump-approval-rating-each-state-10-months-11127534 Texas -6 Florida -6 Ohio -6 Iowa -8 Based on this polling and if we extrapolate to open senate seats what is the number expected?
  11. I still remember debating Brickhorn's superdeterminism at HF good times.
  12. I don't know why I don't know why it is not a 1.5 gap, trust the DL to decide if it is going to be a pass or a run, the only possible reasoning is keeping the QB contained in the pocket. Even if that means less pressure.
  13. There was a play vs Georgia on the release that was Taeffe going to help Gilbleu and letting I think Humphreys wide open for a TD. The team is terrified of its own secondary, leaving sooo much uncontested space. I agree that A&M is perfectly built to exploit this defense, I just hope PK realizes they need to play tighter coverage even with true frosh, because they will be burned by YAC.
  14. As much as I don't want to do this, I kinda want to sunshine pump the defense, yeah it started horribly but it levelled off after going 3-4 and then they half assed after the blowout occurred. It was two scores by Jackson and the second one was against the backup defense. That said that is nowhere near the standard of earlier this season, and if I were to guess they are just panicking with roster changes plus keeping the mobile QBs in front of them. Prepare for more of the same on Friday with Reed.
  15. I mean why not just cancel the season and award it to the preseason #1 team?
  16. Except this opinion is stupid, now are we stooping for low level micromanaging about individual plays?
  17. Same, generally when you feel it is a tragedy is when it is a really really good team that got fucked by a nuclear schedule from hell (which kinda was this year, or even worse Florida's SOS). This team making the playoffs means playing Oregon in Eugene, ND in South Bend, Tech in Lubbock etc. A&M Georgia and OU are probably avoided since the committee does not like rematches. This team averages low double digit ppg on the road.
  18. The right decision was made, going for the jugular is going 2 scores early not being a macho moron... this is stadium shit faced drunken fan talk... on a monday morning.
  19. I mean the throw was hard enough that even if the DB had gotten a hand on it he was not catching it and a tip goes out of bounds, should it be a staple? hell no, but just like a long fade those are safe passes.
  20. A catch is not even guaranteed that was a bullet
  21. In the NFL it is QB, QB, QB, QB, LT But in college it is QB, C, MLB aka all the brain positions that can tell other players where to line up.
  22. Stupid SOS calculations, at the level relevant to the playoffs top end SOS is the only thing that matters, they are 1-0 vs other playoff teams, but the rest has been just beating bad teams. Texas lost to one of those bad teams though.
  23. There was that famous photo of him decompressing after the UK shit show, if he was an alcoholic he is not standing in the corner but headed towards his stash.
  24. Texas with wins over GA, A&M, Vandy and OK was in, even with the two losses, Texas was in over any team with two losses, even if the playoffs were top 6 Texas was in over teams with 1 loss like say Oregon. That would have been a salivating schedule vs an Oregon team that skipped tOSU even if they were on the same damn conference. You can't argue the same if we had played Rice, but lost to UF and Georgia sorry I just don't see it. The key part being ignored is the size of the playoff berth, top 16 and UT is in. but Top 12 and we are in the bubble. We WERE given the benefit of the doubt even on teams with fewer losses, we just shat our pants in Athens, that is why we are bubble but on the outside looking in.
  25. I mean they are paid to do this, it is a prestige job, I can't guarantee anything, but I can at least guarantee that they give this the most thought over anything that was before, I might not agree with it but AP and coaches polls were afterthoughts by lazy journalists and coaching assistants.
