  1. Username checks out.
  2. I’ll get flamed, but Brisket House on Augusta smokes a mean bird.
  3. So… the Rockets are our only prayer for a championship in 2024-2025?
  4. The principal needs her own movie. She’s funny as hell. The teachers are just so mid. Every interaction with the gang was awkward and unfunny.
  5. High proof wheaters are tough to dial in. Heaven Hill especially. The big guys usually do pretty well with corn, barley, and rye.
  6. HLSR Survival tips: - Stick to clear liquor and soda water . I feel the tequila, soda, and lime hangover is the most survival. - NRG serves primarily AB 16 oz bottles. Pack accordingly. - Plastic flasks. - Parking is fine before 6pm on weekdays. - Corral Club is worth the money. - There’s a Saltgrass at the very end of NRG Center. I feel it’s the best grub outside of tents and cook off. A lot of the Midway restaurant suck deeply. - There’s Chick-fil-a beer the petting zoos. Pretty close to regular prices - Don’t wear flip flops. I feel like this one is obvious, but i see it every year. There is literally shit everywhere in NRG Center and Arena. - I don’t have a good departure strategy. I rented an apartment a few years back nearby . It was great. - There’s good shopping and light crowds at lunch on week days. - I’d buy a hat or pair of boots right now. Probably too late on anything custom. I’m sweating out a custom hat order from Thanksgiving right now. - There’s a second floor at NRG center with nice chairs if anybody has kids that need to sit or have old folks. - Use Transportation’s golf carts. Black and red vests. Their logo is a stagecoach. They pick up at the end of NRG Center near Fanin and will take you to NRG Arena/Fairgrounds/Hideaway. Their staging area is big ass tent in the Red lot off Kirby. If you have folks that don’t walk so well, please seek them out. They can take you anywhere you need to go. - The Wine Garden is always a shit show after concerts. There’s usually one working bathroom and no seating. Great folks working there, but it’s just too small to handle a lot of people.
  7. I fear Antique is going to get the Hancock’s Reserve treatment. Nice velvet bag and a $80 price tag.
  8. I’m full time rodeo now. Have a good spring boys.
  9. Bootleg was there on the Wisner 7 yard loss.
  10. Cam has gotta at least delay Sawyer. 1000% on him. If he wants to go pro. Bye. Have a nice life.
  11. Has Ari Wasserman suicide’d by Wendy’s yet?
  12. Gbenda statue. I’m building it. Who’s in?
  13. Root beer note on the second pour of the 2XO. I’m a fan. If you can find one under $75, I’d pull the trigger.
  14. After vowing to only play the hits, the Spec’s sale got me. $20 off on this bottle. I like it so far. Dixon Dedman was a genius once.
  15. Reba should be packed. First appearance in 10 years. Journey puts on a great show. My wife loves Jon Pardi. Lauren Daigle is the best Christian act in the world. Amazing singer. Post Malone was inevitable with his new schtick. At least the guy can sing a little. I’ve never heard of some of these younger country acts. Probably a good thing. Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan allegedly perform for free or donate their fee to charity so they’re locked in every year. Bun B appears to be an annual thing now too. I’ll give him credit for pulling some big names. 9 new performers out of 20 is pretty good when 3 are already locked in. I’m not going to gripe about the Spanish language acts on Sunday. One couple in one night spends more at the fairgrounds than I ever care to spend in my entire life. I’d argue people will up show regardless, but if they can get an extra 5% because of the act that’s big for the show’s bottom line. Gripes: No Stapleton. Tremendous singer and guitarist. Paisley is on a Monday. He usually performs on the last Saturday of the show. Serious HLSR people are busy as hell on that Saturday, so they don’t care about some 6pm show. If you’re going to burn a spot on Paisley, have him take that Saturday. He’s not touring, so it doesn’t appear to be scheduling conflict.
  16. We talking live action? If so, Fat Thrawn and the Phantom Menace.
  17. So the Abbott Elementary bullshit costs us at least one episode, right? 5 episode season incoming.
  18. Should have settled with the hairdresser. - Skip is too regarded to offer money for sex. Probably made a series of weird ass jokes. - Skip wears $100 suits. No way he offered $1.5 million for anything. - Hairdresser uses whatever happened to inflict as much damage as possible and being everyone down. For sure some weird shit going with either old white guys and hairdressers. Garth Brooks and now this. I guess the makeup chair is the new casting couch?
  19. Yeah, we can do this all night. Rory McCann is a great actor with good comedic timing. He’ll be good enough with costume, makeup and post. Ray Stevenson will always be missed. Baylan Skoll was probably the best Star Wars villain since Vader. I hope Ray is in a better place.
  20. I just can’t do it with Tecovas right now. I bought these instead. Cheaper, probably better based on this thread, and the toe is less square. I’ll post some pictures when Dallas thaws out and them put in the mail. https://rujoboots.com/collections/mens-boots/products/darin-auburn
  21. Please, tell us more.
