  1. I think there’s mutual interest in unequal revenue, but the parties have very different numbers. FSU and Clemson want $80 million. The conference can get there if every other school take a 20% haircut. That includes schools with options like UNC and Virginia. I just don’t see it. Biased Bud and Dumbass Danny Kanell think the ACC will counter with $6O million. Kanell thinks FSU and Clemson might take $65 million if they can get out in 2030.
  2. If you want to lose 20+ minutes of you life that you won’t get back, Bud Elliott debates Tom Fornelli on FSU’s “leverage” to leave the ACC. Basically, Florida State and their dogshit lawyers have lost every single motion in their lawsuit to force their way out of the ACC. Predictably, FSU and Clemson have reached out to the conference about an unequal revenue split. Bud argues passionately that FSU has enough leverage to force the ACC to give them $80 million a year and only lock them in until 2030. He bases this on a 5% chance that FSU can leave with their TV rights at no costs to the school. His logic assumes that Wake Forest and other small ACC schools will be so afraid of this 5% chance scenario succeeding, that they’ll roll over and give FSU and Clemson whatever they want. Fornelli rightfully points out that doesn’t make any sense and podcast chaos ensues. Elliott should ask for his money back from Bama Law. Based on his context clues, it’s clear he’s advising FSU in some capacity in their lawsuit. FSU undergrad + Bama JD + who works as a journalist going up against Duke and Virginia’s attorneys. Well no shit, of course they’ve lost every motion. Florida State is in hell. 0-3. Unable to recruit high school well enough to rebuild their roster. And stuck in the ACC.
  3. A coworker had to evacuate and of course Centerpoint lost power in the area. The fire + heat caused the poles, wires, and transformers to catch fire. While she was house hunting, I strongly recommended she live in Clear Lake if she wanted to be south. Why anyone with means would willing choose to live in Deer Park is beyond me.
  4. Stein might be a good fit at piggy? But that’s a total tear down and rebuild. It’d take longer than 3 years, and I’m not sure any college coach has that much time anymore. They should hire a Klieman type and hope they’re bowling in Year 2.
  5. It feels Fisch already made his decision to stay out west. Napier barely makes it out of 2023, and he takes the UDub job anyway. It kind of feels like Florida will go all in Kiffin, screw it up, and hire Franklin. There’s really not a Sark type out there. Will Stein is a good OC, but he’s pretty inexperienced for a job that big.
  6. I believe Bud Elliott’s metrics have New Mexico’s defense as the worst in Division 1. I’d tap the brakes on Auburn has a competent QB. That said, I hope Brown plays well enough that Freeze can’t credibly guarantee the starting job to high profile 2025 QBs. He’ll try anyway, but the top guys can see through the bullshit.
  7. The 2 year break didn’t help. You need subtitles to understand Stallone now.
  8. Money Marcel is the dorkiest one, so that’s what they’ll go with.
  9. I’ll give Arnold somewhat of a break, he doesn’t have much at WR. Burks and then a bunch JAGs that would never play at Texas.
  10. Jeremy Allen White beat a lot of funny people in a dramatic role. The Bear, while a great show, has blown up the Emmy’s categories. I think Hacks winning comedy series was pushback on FX for submitting The Bear as a comedy, and honestly, good for them. It would have been fun for Curb to get 1 big award in its final season. The legacy awards that the Emmys were once fond of, and that didn’t happen.
  11. Does anybody have a link for LHN on YouTube? I think I’m subscribed, but the videos that pull up aren’t current.
  12. The Saturday Down South are openly Bama honks right? While I love the new conference, SEC Media sucks. Even SEC adjacent sites like Old Row attempt to drag Texas at every opportunity.
  13. The time for schedule bitching has long passed. The SEC released the schedule on December 14, 2023. aggy had the holidays, all spring, and all summer to cry about it and get it out of their system. But some things never change and they won’t shut up about it. The funny thing is their schedule is also easy. They avoid : Georgia, Bama, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.
  14. Yikes. They got robbed. But they won every single award for Season 1.
  15. Did The Bear submit Season 2 or 3 for Emmy consideration? Probably not in a great era for TV. Emmy voters believe there are only 3 good shows: Shogun, Hacks, and The Bear.
  16. So you have Hard Knocks bro? Bears are the second smartest team in the league behind the Giants.
  17. I’m waiting for them to bitch about OU being an easy game and SEC scheduling bias.
  18. That throw alone should get everyone off of Caleb’s dick.
  19. Somebody cut Akers’ brake lines. This shouldn’t be a game.
  20. Good to see Mike Leach’s OL Coach is still working.
  21. I think we’re entering red solo cup full of dog shit bet territory for Brilliant Minds to get a second season.
  22. I hope, very much, that this is a joke.
