  1. Terrific film, but I don’t think it’ll make any Christmas classics lists. It’s kind of dark and confronts mental illness in a very direct way. It has some nice moments, but nobody should confuse it with Home Alone or A Christmas Story.
  2. Username checks out.
  3. Trading Places is definitely more of a Christmas movie, but yeah I’d say Coming to America is Christmas adjacent.
  4. I’d trade back. They really need an OG and a WR in the first 40-50 picks. Thank goodness the needs are defense are pretty minimal.
  5. Negative. All the scrip clubs are on Westheimer/Richmond/59.
  6. Help me understand flipper logic. A bottle of handy costs $450 on secondary. If you said hello to people at Walmart for 40 hours, you’d come out ahead, get to sleep in your own bed, and spend Christmas with your family indoors.
  7. To piggyback on what RPM said, flaring sucks. My FIL’s place in Glasscock County had a pretty nice breeze at night until they turned the area into Saudi Arabia. Pretty bad light pollution too. If you’re ever in a position to sign a lease, make sure you’re getting paid on flared gas. Many folks with older leases are not.
  8. You’re right. The press box bit was after the LSU loss in Austin.
  9. When Bama beat Texas in Austin.*
  10. Yeah, they went all in on the Vol Invasion blowing up in their faces. Their jackassery has well documented by the Columbus and national press. I pray to God we never play them in a meaningful game in Austin. They’re the closest thing the SEC has to Buckeyes fan. Truly hilarious the most insufferable fanbases, sans aggy, met in a playoff game. I’ll agree SEC Shorts really hasn’t figured out to make fun of Texas. They did a McConaghey locking himself in the press room gag after the home loss to Bama and it didn’t really pan. The voice was spot on though.
  11. My parents have Human Fund’d my ass for the better part of a decade. I get a card every year that says: A donation has been made in you and your wife’s name to the Global Episcopal Mission Network.
  12. Yeah… I’ll hang my hat on them almost losing to Texas State as ASU’s weakest data point.
  13. Of course, but he’s a good back too. What did Etienne do to use when he got the second level? Can Skattebo do something similar?
  14. My wife and I are gigantic fans of FNL the film and series. I’ve enjoyed the vibe of the last 2 episodes. I think Sheridan is pulling on those heart strings, and I’m fine with it. I’ll give him credit for focusing on the vibe instead of Billy Bob and Jon Hamm defeating the Big Bad like the first 4 seasons of Yellowstone. But yes, there are plenty of No Notes Sheridan plot hole to point at. I think there are 2 kinds of viewers. The Chris Ryan viewer that is riding with Sheridan all the way to the train station. And the Andy Greenwald viewer that hate watches to point out the absurdity of Sheridan’s writing.
  15. Let’s look at this way. What about Etienne’s game gave Texas fits? Does Skattebo have any similar traits?
  16. Anybody have the transcript of Herbstreit going off on fOSU fans during the Tennessee game?
  17. IT reporting that Lance Jackson and MT3 are practicing with the team. I assume on scout team.
  18. You are truly demented to spend your Christmas Eve and Day camping out in Midtown Houston.
  19. I could have worded that better. Boise has a better defense than ASU.* I think Boise’s defensive line specifically is better. They have a couple dudes while Arizona State has Swanson and Durbah in their 2 deep.
  20. The Arizona/California radio guys were about what you’d expect today. Everybody has counted this team out all year. Nobody gave Skattebo a chance. Nobody gave Leavitt a chance. This team hasn’t lost a game since September that Leavitt has started. This time doesn’t care. They’ll be ready to play. Completely glossed over no Tyson and level of competition. Boise’s defense is better and Jeanty is a better back. We couldn’t ask for an easier draw in the quarterfinals.
  21. I wonder if these deals are backloaded? Van Buren to LSU was baffling. Norland is curious. You’d think Just for Men Mustache and Beard will have an open QB competition in the spring before making a decision on a transfer QB. fOSU might already have one in the chamber, but I doubt they’d share that with the QB Room.
  22. Again, Memorial is great, but it’s not walkable. You’ll be lucky to have 1 or 2 walkable restaurants nearby. And there are only 2 dedicated neighborhood bars, Cowboy Surfer and By Popular Demand. I’ll probably get negged to infinity, but I think The Heights is too busy now. I have an acquaintance that lives next door to Cedar Creek and I have no idea how he sleeps. 19th and 20th are basically a less good version of Rainey Street. They dropped a large shopping centers on 11th, 6th, and 34th. I liked the neighborhood better when there were a few bars on White Oak, and you could eat a quiet dinner at Lola and you needed to sign a club membership at Eight Row Flint.
  23. Agreed. By all accounts they asked their boosters to dig deep on NIL in all out effort to beat Michigan in 2024. Didn’t happen. It’ll be a tough ask for 2025. Then again maybe not. These people are insane. “I’d rather Day be 8-56 if it included 4 wins against Michigan.”
  24. That’s a masterclass in mental gymnastics. - Tennessee deserved to be there because they beat Alabama. SMU and Indiana didn’t beat anybody. Also if not Tennessee than who? - fOSU should be embarrassed that Tennessee invaded their stadium. Their fans put Day on the hotseat not ESPN. - fOSU cares too much about the Michigan game. - Sankey had a good plan, but the other commissioners blew it up and we got what we got.
