Random question, other than the World Series, when is the next time the Cardinals come to town? I know the Stros play them this season, but it's in St. Louis.
I miss playing the Cards and their fans. Great people. Very knowledgeable and laid back.

Luhnow should have dealt Tucker, but thank goodness he didn't trade Bregs.

you would think.
but i'm ok with aledmys at 2nd, keeping yuli at 1b, and having kemp over white in the dh rotation. or popping him into the of and having uncle mike dh.
lots of flexibility even with tuve out.
blacktuve has an interesting ring to it.
Interesting. Whatever keeps Kemp in the 9 hole I'm cool with.
-
Could Kemp play second while Altuve is out? I assume so. He played second at Vandy.

Antonio Doyle was Fong'd to A&M
Cool. Elko and Witlfong had their weekly Sunday chat. Do you think they exchange pleasantries or go straight into deal making?

Not Texas football recruiting related, but the 4X400 final leg from Boling was unreal.
Probably the coolest thing I've seen in track.

It's between Weller Antique and Old Ezra 7 Year Barrel Strength for the best 7 year bourbon. I sill like Antique better, but I wouldn't argue with the Old Ezra side.
Old Ezra is a godsend in a sea of taters.

I bet he knows what’s going on at UNC
I look forward to Burton working in UNC news into his daily insider reports. "I'm told Texas is recruiting (insert random South Carolina recruit) hard, but UNC is a real threat here."
Thanks. That'll be $9.95.

LMAO ATM might have just lost control of their own athletic department to sociopathic Mack Brown.
Jimbo's complaints at FSU were borderline bizarre. They built him a new practice field/locker rooms, but declined to build a football only training facility. They opted instead for an all sports training facility. Still brand new and state of the art. So when Clemson waxed the Seminoles, Jimbo cited the lack of a football only training facility as an excuse. Uh why? The softball team was using your weights when your team wasn't using them?
JImbo held FSU hostage for multiple offseasons over this issue. Aggy knew this and hired him anyway. Because current national championship winning coach.
When people say Jimbo is colorful or a character, what they really mean to say, he's crazy AF.

No idea regarding Equinor. I think CHK prob likes EF more than PRB, but again that’s just from investment. As you said, takeaway is a problem
I know people want PRB to be the next Permian but seem like a bit of a stretch.
PRB's problem is that it's a thousand miles in each direction to Chicago and the West Coast. Plus good f***ing luck getting a new pipeline through Eastern Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon. I think the PRB's best bet is for some variation of the Keystone Pipeline to finally get finished and tie into it in Wyoming. That would get companies into Cushing/The Gulf Coast.
The oil is there though and it could be a world class field with the proper vision.

Don't they need to hire a President too? Why would an AD take a job without knowing who their boss will be? Seems like they're leaving it too transparent that Sharp will be the actual boss, and no self respecting man wants a clown like Sharp for a boss.
I think they'll promote internally for both. If Aggy will cook the books with "recurring donations" just to be the Forbes' wealthiest athletic program, they won't take another public relations L.
What's hilarious is that many GigEm247/TexAgs posters don't like Sharp because he's a Democrat. The guy was in the Corps, routinely steals/embezzles/commits fraud for Aggy, orchestrated the SEC Move, and he has turned their university into a diploma mill to flood the state with alumni. What else does Sharp need to do to get them to love him?

What are the chances that jimbo has pulled a straight up coup on the athletic department?
Given his track record at FSU and his salary/guaranteed contract, very to extremely likely.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been any mention of him. He’s as aggy as they come. Didn’t he try to get the Arizona fans to start the tradition of saw ‘em off while he was AD there?
Yeah, there's a lot of family connections between the Byrnes and Aggy. Bill is still a "Special Advisor" to the Aggy President, and he was the AD when they left the Big 12. You'd think Greg to Aggy would be a slam dunk, but he's denied any contact with Aggy and obviously Aggy has been targeting other candidates.
Strange things are afoot in Aggyland. Greg Byrne wants nothing to do with them, and Jimbo/staff have been extremely late on their in state offers. See Haynes King and Kitan Crawford. I'm long past accurately predicting what they'll do. You can't reason with insanity.

Hey long did age bourbon in Austin prior to Prohibition? How long have they traditionally aged bourbon in Texas? I don't think I've ever seen a Texas bourbon older than 2 years.
There's a throw away line in The Hustler (1961) about Murray Hamilton. He's very well to do and fancy; he drinks 8 year old bourbons. In another scene, George C. Scott orders Paul Newman a pour of JTS Brown to celebrate a special occasion, their new partnership. Bottled in bond JTS Brown currently goes for $10. I believe it's only available in Kentucky. While I'm sure it's a fine daily drinker at that price point, it doesn't seem like a nice bourbon in the context of the film.
When Kentuckians b**** about the death of Heaven Hill 6, I'm surprised the Heaven Hill people don't bring up JTS Brown BiB. They're still subsidizing the locals to a certain degree.

Some like it. Some don’t. COP, EOG.CHK just bought more EF last year, but Equinor is shopping their position. I think it’s just consolidation from some of the majors. It also depends on takeaway
I wonder if CHK likes the PRB better than Eagle Ford? I believe they're scheduled to be about $10 million more in Eagle Ford ($525 million) than PRB ($515)would be an interesting conversation for sure. I know some of the consulting firms really like the PRB because it's a stacked play. If they think the Permian has infrastructure issues, wait until they get a load of the PRB.
Yeah I heard Equinor was shopping their Eagle Ford Position. If I was working at their office in Austin, I'd be looking hard for another job. Do you know if they want to keep their Marcellus and Bakken?

Durant to the Knicks. Maybe Thompson is sick of being Steph's b****, and leaves too, but probably not with the all the cap space after KD leaves.
The Rockets still can't beat Curry, Green, and Thompson. It reminds of the post 2005 Astros. You knew they would be competitive, but never win anything of substance.
Morey should probably blow it up, but he can't with CP3's contract. That thing is going be an albatross.
-
Well, I guess I'll welcome myself to thread. Back to the Astros being the city's only hope for a championship. I wouldn't expect anything else.

With Pioneer being a pure Permian player now and Chevron looking to acquire. It makes sense.
The Pioneer CEO basically propositioned Chevron in a recent interview. I expect it to happen.
Man alive, the Eagle Ford went from the hot play to toxic in a hurry. COP and EOG might be the only big companies down there that like their acreage.

They will get a decent AD, eventually someone will care more about money than their career. I’m sure they are offering a crap ton of money. Of course they are selecting from a smaller pool of current ADs who fully endorse paying players. Hence Oregon and Clemson. I guess the next schools on the list are Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama
You'd think Greg Byrne would be their first call, but he probably already told Aggy no in private.

I keep forgetting big ass Willie Tyler is in this class. Will he be ready to play this year or does he have to redshirt? Cause if we can save Braun for next year (center, maybe?) that would kinda be awesome.
I'd treat exactly like a true freshman. He's big and he can move, but needs a lot of work. I wish he was an early enrolle, but oh well.
