You gonna do two Wheaters in a row?
    I salute you.

I'll probably do a Poor Man's Pappy soon, so it can sit for a month before USC.

The most intriguing experiment is Stagg Jr. I've thought about about opening it up, barreling it, or decanting it.

Little Book 1 or 2? I read the recipe on 2 was "interesting".

He's going to get passed up by the 2019 kids quickly

Spin down candidate? I think Leon is screwed regardless. Not twitchy, stiff hips, and slow. Nice high school player that was routinely exposed against good competition.

Normally I'd wish a Cy- kid well, but i hope Leon is out of football sooner rather than later.

  4. After Larceny, I think I'm going to go Baby Saz in the barrel next then Elijah Craig. It should be a nice little experiment, a wheater, a rye, and bourbon named after a Baptist minister.

Gbenda is the kid you slow play and then regret it later in the cycle when he was there for the taking. I’m good with the take if it is him.

I'm basically there. I want to see senior film first. Keep him warm, close quickly if the film is good.

This must be from Tarp article about none of the incoming freshman making any kind of early impact.

The title of said article : "A&M freshmen aren't making big impact, and that's a good thing"

One of the more Tarpish articles I've read in a long time. It's 7 paragraphs of circular logic. Basically the freshmen aren't better than the upperclassmen, but the upperclassmen are laying the foundation for a championship team. And I'm cross eyed.

What is everyone's thoughts on Gbenda?  His hudl looke pretty impressive IMO.  Looks good sideline-to-sideline and plays good agains inside runs.  Yeah he needs to add weight to his 212 lb. frame.

Based on his size, he's your cliche TCU LB. If he were a better athlete, this would be a really easy take.

Have we done a poll ranking your favorite bourbons under $30?  750 ml. say ten or less. rank them please.  bourbons only - no ryes, sour mashes, moonshines, extra staves, port or sherry finish bullshit.  here's mine:

    buffalo trace

weller 12 (yeah, I know you cant get it for this, but technically it's an under $30 bottle)

    knob creek

    makers mark

    Elijah craig

    er10

    four roses (small batch)

    bulleit

    woodford

    larceny

Not a great list without Weller Antique, I hope it was an oversight. A prerequiste, I'm very Sazerac/Buffalo Trace biased. I just love the company, and they almost never go wrong. They understand their market.

    1) Weller Antique

    2) Weller 12

    3) Eagle Rare 10

    4) Buffalo Trace

    5) Elijah Craig

    6) Woodford (call it an affinity based on desperation. Woodford is the best bottle in far, far too many restaurants, but it's still pretty decent.)

    7) Larceny

8.) Four Roses (the Single Barrel is really good, and would be no. 4 on this list if included.)

    9) Knob Creek

    10) Bulleit

    11) Maker's Mark (honestly I think the hype is based completely on the packaging. )

  9. Hire a recruiting ace to "coach DEs" and let Giles do his thing when they get on campus.

He's a great coach, poor recruiter. None of this new. Herman can either get Giles some help, or replace him. Surely if we understand this, Herman does as well.
