  1. Burst into cloud for capacity is a very viable and undervalued thing people should absolutely be doing and architecting especially for DR or site replacement/moves. The storage in AWS is only a ripoff if you have everything there it's worth every penny if it's your DR strategy and you scale up quick around it and your only anchor of $$ is the storage and retrieval/replication once you get going. That's actually fucking crazy - what Colo doesn't have multiple redundant ISP links?
  2. Hence the motto. A loss to MS State may burn it all down.
  3. He caught plenty of balls from Arch too dude... Also I say stupid shit when I am being optimistic about the team not when I'm looking at the film or diagnosing what has already happened. I'm fine to have my burnt orange glasses on and be wrong as a Fan. No one can predict what's going to happen on Saturdays - stop reading my posts about future as anything more than fanfic or hopium.
  4. Yeah because Houston didn't have shit for an OC or any fucking players worth a shit.
  5. I can't remember Wingo ever making a WOW catch, but maybe I'm stupid.
  6. Lol on prem is not even hard anymore. You can legit just have a private cloud in less than 8 hours with licensing and the right software. Probably closer to a week with a bunch of open source and support contracts. IaaS is a solved as fuck problem and anyone still claiming the cloud is a competitive advantage or does something for TCO has rocks for brains and may not know how computers work.
  7. I think there's validity here, but there's also the whole players make plays thing. A lot of smoothing over doesn't happen because I don't remember the last "holy fuck" catch that wasn't Livingston.
  8. And for the record it didn't make a shit who was throwing Golden balls. His coaching staff and the rest of the offense and his personal effort and product he put out got him drafted. Quinn didn't do some fucking magic throw ahead of him and get him open shit. Miss me with that bullshit.
  9. Bro shut the fuck up. Idk if you are somehow related to Quinn but you say some of the dumbest fucking shit in this thread in particular. It's like some part of your brain turns off in here and in this conversation. Quinn was definitely injured and it showed the way he played through the season. I think he was genuinely worried he wouldn't get the job back if he didn't come back when he did and that was a mistake from the coaching staff and Quinns camp and it negatively impacted his professional football career.
  10. I think he believes in his team more than he should sometimes as a player's coach. When your players aren't making plays you gotta take over the game for them and get them plays they can make as the head coach. A lot of the more animated coaches we see are not of the same philosophy and control the team and take on the role of making them do what they need to or replacing them. I think the trust building sark does with players is somewhat unique, but it burns him when he's slow to give other guys a shot that maybe just can fucking ball on Saturdays but aren't as good culture guys during the week. There's a lot more what if plays with this team than any other save the 2019 longhorn team in recent memory for me. The 2020 team was completely dysfunctional as well and I think collapsed for similar reasons but didn't have the culture to really hold the locker room together.
  11. Idk that it is... Just watched the vid.
  12. I used to share that sentiment, but it's top to bottom bad. RBs have been bad at what they've been asked to do. WRs have been bad. TEs have left a lot to be desired. The entire offense is performing like a sub par shitter team.
  13. We all wish every throw was the 3rd down goal line thrown to Livingston. I think when one of your guards gets a PFF score of sub 20 and your center sub 40 it's really hard to get a good idea of how much of this is on Arch. With an OL this bad the gameplan cannot continue to be to pretend like they aren't.
  14. Yeah, I think he knows the world of shit he's in as soon as he's not and the margin for error is effectively 0.
  15. Go watch the presser that's not really the whole context. I don't think he understands that it's not about controlling the playbook it's about handing off play calling during the game to handle more of the whole game. Its not as bad of an answer as they take out of context, but nothing is going to satisfy anyone until he says fuck it I'll hire someone. He knows he is fucking sucking at that role in no uncertain terms.
  16. I'll be drinking anyway.
  17. Because he's a good teammate and he loves Texas, remember that one video of him as a kid?
  18. https://watch.longhornnetwork.com/video/872420 Right at 23 min
  19. Sark said the fans should be pissed and the expectation should be playoffs and Texas is a playoff team. As soon as it's not he's not an idiot, he doesn't get to fuck around and he knows it. The fact is winning each week keeps him a playoff team.
  20. Can you guys seriously stop putting that shit here. Next time it gets a ban.
  21. That's both hilarious and fucking true thus making it very very sad. Also that's going on the surly twitter.
  22. It does for some teams, I think it's a cultural thing. I do know a lot of the guys are a lot more sensitive to the optics right now than usual. I think that plays a lot into their overall confidence and comfort level when traveling. Some of these guys have built up enough reputation and good will that they are sort of immune to it, a lot of the offense doesn't have that privilege.
  23. I just think sark gives up on the run too quick. Sometimes you just gotta wear some mother fuckers out.
