  2. Trump's having a rough week.
  3. So, just to be clear when I'm trying to fix this - your main issue is the user experience and not really anything to do with twitter or surly hosting the actual "embed". What you want is someone to paste a link from normal recruiting news places (A lot of that is X and not Instagram) and it just shows up as it was posted? If that happened it doesn't really matter what's going on beyond that? Or are you specifically bitching about blocking twitter. I think it's fair to say that the perfect state is people paste a link, it auto embeds a surly hosted clone of the tweet/embed with full media functionality and it loads super fast and doesn't bog down the page and force it to jump all over the place? Right now we can enable twitter again and the embeds are horrendously slow and dogshit, but they actually work as embeds OR we have surlyx which loads much faster and doesn't fuck up the page, but doesn't have the rich media. I will fix this soon, but tell me what I'm fixing before I just start doing random shit. In the meantime I can probably just allow twitter embeds as long as we know and have a plan to get to a state that makes sense.
  4. I think load times are drastically improved, but yeah I know it's annoying to have to click through the link and/or see the static image vs being able to interact with the embed.
  5. if it's that big of a deal I can focus on actually replacing the fully functional embeds with a surly hosted version that has video and can be interacted with to "show more" and have images you can save/copy paste into other apps etc.
  6. The 9.95, baseball and basketball boards were all more active this year. Recruiting thread is on track or ahead of last year. Baseball is obviously way more active and basketball was crazy this season because of the firing/hiring/xfer portal. The draft thread was 93 pages vs 55 last year and that doesn't include the 15+ pages of the sanders thread that was also going nuts. You may be suffering desensitization from scrolling other apps? Or maybe you browse the website a different way than others? Fluid mode shows the site pretty busy across the various boards. Its peak off season. There was no spring game. Sark has locked down any press viewing of practice. What he does show is boring and gives nothing to speculate about. Texas NIL is nearly completely drama free, and the one guy who got arrested had multiple threads light up for over 500 posts in like 2 days. Recruiting has largely turned into event based follow the leader and understand the dynamics of fit and NIL positioning instead of emotional decisions from idiot 17 year olds. So it's not as crazy of a follow. People who have wild recruitments scare everyone off. The rest of the board is dominated by what's on the news, which isn't particularly good. People are also a lot more cognizant about what they post on the open internet, and some of the debauchery once prolific posters (including myself) has been hampered by getting older and/or having young families.
  7. That she has found relevance
  8. No one will be in deep mourning, I don't think this is a correct assessment of the situation.
  9. Its actually strange to think about the scenario where him and a significant portion of the cabinet were flying with him and the plane fell out of the sky. There was a time where that would be a global catastrophe, having negative impact because of uncertainty etc. Now I feel like that kind of news would be received...differently both domestically and abroad.
  10. Making EVs isn't hard. It's not profitable without significant subsidy still and the sales motion is all fucked up because you are paying for the gas up front (front loaded cost of battery vs ICE car) so unless you are really wanting an EV its hard to sell them to people. Mercedes Benz didn't ramp down production because it was hard, they ramped it down because people didn't want stupid fucking electric cars.
  11. I have no idea what the fuck she just cooked.
  12. Good for her.
  13. I have always said this is the best thread on the internet covering this terrible portion of history.
  14. I mean, it's spam, but it's actually good. I'm watching you @Ahsan1
  15. Bobby continues to be the best in the biz.
  16. Outside of my posture being significantly better and my recovery time being a lot quicker not really.
  17. April has been shitty, I've missed like 10 days, but I am at 40/20 so 60 a day. Next week I'm going to move up to 45/20
  18. Q2 disaster numbers are gonna make Q1 GDP retraction look like childs play lol
  19. I didn't check in on this thread for a week and missed a good ole crowdsourcing lol.
  20. There was 1M in them - the suitcases were in fact not worth more than the money they were holding. I get the hate, but just saying dumb shit is dumb. I bet they got fined too, if it was someone associated with the team doing the prank call. That is completely on the organization because the person who made the prank call had access to confidential information that only the staff should have had. This isn't a game, this is a big business. Imagine if your shithead kid got the number of a VP or CEO at a partner company and prank called them, how big of a fucking shitstorm that would be if they found out it was your kid. You would likely get an official reprimand and maybe even face termination. I hope it was worth 350k for that dumbass kid, because it probably wasn't even that funny.
  21. Have you seen this broad? She's not a West Campus 6.
  22. Tim Duncan was a fucking stone cold killer - what are you talking about? Tim Duncan was one of the most locked in professional athletes of all time, to the point that he was called "the big fundamental". He was just a bit stoic because he isn't (even in his personal life) a very loud/vocal person.
