  1. ...it is that's why the crosstabs are all completely fucked.
  2. I don't kid gloves anyone. I challenge and assert arguments that aren't " he's a fascist and your a fascist if you support him" because that isn't a constructive conversation. I also don't avoid talking politics with anyone, under any circumstance and I don't associate with any maga actual fascists. Being misguided and not sold on the idea that Trump is actually a fascist is not an unreasonable position for a supremely uninformed ostrich effect sufferer. Being a complete piece of shit maga supporter because you hate the brown people and want trans people to suffer and women to be sex slaves is pretty irredeemable.
  3. A Venn diagram of the sufferers of ostrich effect and normies/politically under informed voters is god damned near a circle. When you yank an ostrich out of its head hole and make normies decide if they want to be a piece of shit or not they actually do react, and mostly unfavorably. https://thedecisionlab.com/biases/ostrich-effect
  4. They wouldn't disagree with you, because they were voting in their perceived financial best interest. You are exactly correct they saw a loser who on the biggest stage stepped all over his dick and lost his mind. We are saying the same thing, but instead of calling them fascists because they want fascism they were more the its not gonna negatively impact me and I'll be richer/have more money. I'm not saying it was right or tolerable or that is was accepting of their position. I just didn't come in hot calling them a fascist racist piece of shit I had a normal conversation with them and they eventually came around and saw the reality.
  5. Correct. Just live in a complete fantasy world where we are surrounded by Nazis who talk shit about Puerto Rico and then they vote for him harder.
  6. Oh and they think the ones that voted for him in 2016 and 2020 are in the bag, especially after Jan 6. Which is demonstrably and measurably false to the tune of a solid single digit % to low double digit % depending on state/location etc. People do not think inciting insurrection is good stuff for a presidential candidate. Hate also turns people off who aren't extreme, like in a big way. So for every hate filled couch sitter who goes and votes there is at least one defector or non voter from a category they previously thought they had in the bag. Its an enormous miscalculation because he's surrounded by the dumbest people. It's impossible to say he's surrounded by a more talented and brilliant team than 2016 or 2020. Did you see his legal defense post insurrection? Have you been following his big time losing on nearly all cases? It's all filled with completely stupid people wish-casting shit and using the media like a fucking puppet mouthpiece to promote disinformation. You think people are voting for a mother fucker who said immigrants are eating cats and dogs? What kind of regarded shit is that. I know people who were planning on wallet voting for Trump who bailed after that. It's gotten too stupid and bad for normies.
  7. Voting on something that never effects you except for making you feel like you owned the libs is not as energizing as being a woman who is now being threatened and actively being shown that if you need medical care you won't get it. Doctors who can't provide care they want to are not going to stand by and not vote. They are not the same. Stop equating them it's nonsense. If it were so energizing they would have turned out in 2016 and 2020, where were they then? Waiting for the hate to become openly racist? You think the proud boys decided not to vote cuz it wasn't enough hate before? Like come the fuck on.
  8. I don't think they are. One is concerning someone else and one is concerning yourself. Those aren't equally energizing.
  9. Also this nonsense of the biggest voting bloc thatvdoesnt vote being uneducated white males is also shrinking faster demographically than any other demographic. Its not moving the needle as much as people think its good for fleecing the rubes for money but it isn't good for setting policy or depending on them to do things like vote. Combine that with everyone saying it's a crushing defeat from the Rs who have literally been wrong about absolutely everything since 2016? They are actually 0 for on any predictions they yell into the clouds. The economy and oil and gas are at all time bests.
  10. Sushi keeps thinking Rs vote R and that brand new never voted before voters that consist of more than 10% of the electorate and skew way young make for the same patterns as 2020 a really strange election in its own category. This is going to come down to who is showing up to vote, people who are energized by hate or people who you know, don't want their basic human rights taken away. I don't think it's hard to know which one is more energizing.
  11. Beyond fucked up, it's irredeemable. That's career suicide there's no way back from it.
  12. Its impossible to know there just are a lot of variables and whatnots and what have yous.
  13. This is actually fucking insane. The producers should have gotten involved I cannot fucking believe he said that on air. What an absolutely fucking vile piece of shit that guy is.
  14. This wasn't a threat. He straight up said im not voting for Trump unless he apologizes. This is a disaster scenario.
  15. I've said I'm most pissed because he can make all these throws. He's just being a fucking pussy. It's all mental with Quinn it's not overhype he's really that fucking good. That's why it sucks to watch him play like a pussy.
  16. 2020 was peak Trump and these Podcasts were the same then as now.
  17. I'm not asking where MAGA morons hang out get their news or listen. I'm asking about where are all these new MAGA people coming from?
  18. This is where I'm at. I don't follow how you net more votes doing the shit that Trump has done. It's easy to see a net of votes for the Harris plan.
  19. Of which there are how many? Like pulling from the bottom of the smallest barrels isn't netting you shit because to do so you have to alienate moderates.
  20. I think in 2022 it's because no one gave a fuck and they forgot until election day. I don't think in presidential cycles this is the case, we will find out in a week or so.
  21. Is there a lot of those? More than 18 year old women and sympathetic family members and boyfriends? I think not.
  22. My wife's grandfather ordered all kinds of Trump knives and coins and whatever. Republican his whole life. After January 6th he was pissed. Said Trump was a coward and a loser. He changed his vote. To tell me that so many people have stories like this and I have yet to meet a single person who was like yeah Jan 6 made me vote for the first time ever for Trump. There's just no fucking way that's a thing, and if it is I need someone to show me some data supporting anything like that. This is on top of Dobbs, I haven't seen a single person who wasn't already a fucking magatard excited to vote for abortion bans, there's quite a few people I know who were older women who were single issue abortion voters who realize how fucked things are now and aren't voting for more insane policies. They wanted no abortions, they didn't want women to be sex/baby slaves. Show me the evidence that there is a swell of NEW people who actively are energized by whatever the fuck this hate campaign is. They already had those votes and they are entrenching themselves there so they don't lose them. Moving more extreme alienates the moderates, of which there are a lot. There aren't more extremists. Defectors from the Republican party are real and measurable. Where are these so called new trump voters coming from?
  23. There is also historical evidence that shows when you shit on people and talk shit directly to them at rallies they may just not vote at all or vote for kamala. Studied have also shown when you call Puerto Rico a floating garbage island that those people don't vote for you. What do I know though.
  24. I want to know who the new Trump voters are. No one has explained that to me.
