  1. You did such a great job explaining it in the trump economy thread. I definitely think the member of a message board community having a conversation in the politics section of the board in the trump economy thread definitely now understands why they were wrong. You are so great, thank you for making the board better by your contribution.
  2. Your comment after the others I wasn't singling you out. I've been telling people to knock it off for 2 pages and yet here we are dogpiling still @UTEE97 didn't do shit besides come in here and have an opinion, that quite frankly isn't controversial or even inflammatory and everyone starts dogpiling him. Knock that shit off. He's not trying to dominate the thread with some 5head insights that you can't possibly understand, he came in and threw his 2 cents in and you all lit him on fire and shoved him out the door. Everyone grow the fuck up.
  3. BLOOD ON THE STREETS AGAIN.
  4. Being attacked and dogpiling isn't conducive to a conversation and this is a thread about the trump economy. You all collectively are doing shit that is keeping people from joining the conversation. You do realize that there's quite a few people who share the sentiment and now instead of getting any kind of traction you guys have run off a poster. This isn't some fucking good deed you did, this is a community that you are actively making worse by shitting on someone and dogpiling a thread derail.
  5. This is the most rigged shit I've ever seen in my life.
  6. Its a RALLY!!!!!
  7. The order books are fucked. A bunch of morons buying high in the midst of a selloff because they are trying to time getting back in.
  8. NVDA moving 7 dollars a second.
  9. Do you think you are arguing with a person or a mod? I'm telling you to stop fucking up this thread. It has nothing to do with what your opinion is, go start another thread attacking morons who voted for Kamala, stop doing it in this thread.
  10. They emulate the entire ISA so it has complete compatibility the performance is just whatever. You should absolutely be buying a miniPC for sub 150 dollars for this as what you are describing is a perfect usecase for it. The real answer in the Mac ecosystem is buy as much as you can stand/afford and that's what you get.
  11. Voted in a general that he doesn't usually participate in, is frsutrated at the same things you are and is now being attacked for being frustrated and honest? Seriously guys knock it off, you are the problem stop gatekeeping this thread with your fucking tantrums.
  12. No, I think that problem existed for both regardless who won. I said that the approach would have been different, apparently all of you are freaking out so much you can't read anymore or something. Dude royiv chill the fuck out he voted for kamala and thinks what's going on sucks. Get a grip.
  13. Some of you need to read this post and wake up a bit. A lot of people want to come here and voice their frustrations, they may be different than yours, but hostility really takes away the conversation and turns things into an echo chamber. Now let's get ready for this meltdown in 9 1/2 hours
  14. I didn't like kamala as a candidate and still just bought in and enthusiastically voted for her. I knew she wouldn't be a train wreck and the thing that would piss me off the most about her is that she actually didn't get anything done except a few key things. She would have been a boring pick with extremely competent people around her. That isn't to discount the elephant in the room of the national debt, and the doom spiral that loomed, but there would have been a less catastrophic approach.
  15. This is life altering for everyone.
  16. Should we do a surlyhorns live stream of the market crash? What happens if it's a MASSIVE RALLY!!!
  17. https://www.jpx.co.jp/english/derivatives/products/domestic/topix-futures/index.html#:~:text=TOPIX Futures is a stock,Stock Price Index (TOPIX). Its like one of the major indexes domestically hitting a circuit breaker. Circuit breakers halt trading for a certain period of time to keep markets from going hysterical and melting all the way down so it isn't just a panic driven event. Its very bad if it continues down steep after the circuit breaker. Eventually they will do what Putin did and just close the stock market and halt trading so no one can melt it down any further, when you do this it makes your exchange basically junk though because there is no liquidity and the market is so unstable it's hard to build confidence back in
  18. I was saying in a vacuum going on a tariff spree that actually was calculated, made sense and had demands attached to it from the get go would have seemed like hard line negotiating, it would have had an impact but not a full meltdown. These people did the unthinkable and honestly the stupidest thing possible, I don't think there is any way they could have done worse. Then their erratic and unstable behavior has continued after causing even more uncertainty. The meltdown isn't a single component, it's a mix of all this massive stupidity.
  19. Well, you are completely wrong on the prices and availability of rooms. Also almost everything at that price point is going to be all inclusive, which you may not be pricing in. So if you aren't a heavy drinker all inclusive /resort probably doesn't make sense for you, since the main appeal for those is to drink your body weight in alcohol and be waited on hand and foot without worrying about the bill. Sounds like you will barely even be at the hotel and maybe your wife will enjoy relaxing. I'd go the airbnb route and maybe splurge and get a private chef one of the nights for fun. The rest of the time you can just drive wherever you want, there's also day passes for beach clubs all over the place that are all inclusive if you wanna do that vibe one of the days. (You can hire a driver or rent a car, although the insurance is a bit wonky in MX so you have to put a 10% refundable down payment on the car if you dont buy their premium insurance) Xcaret is a huge outdoor theme park with all kinds of incredible stuff. Good for 2 full days or 1 really long day. Take the ferry to isla mujeres and bounce around a bit and then go back from playa del Carmen, then maybe do a day trip to the ruins. I'd skip tulum with the fam tbh. There is no shortage of stuff to do in the riviera Maya. Everything is cheap as fuck, and it's mostly safe if you aren't being a shithead. For a family of 4 for a week in comfortable digs you should be able to do it for 4k including flights. You can cheap out and do it for 2500 and the sky is kinds the limit of what you can do, you can spend 10k it just won't really be worth it.
  20. Its pretty diverse there and there's hotels/resorts/experiences that run the gamut in both variety and price. What do y'all like to do? Beach beach and sports? Beach pool and chill people watch? Outdoor adventures and exporation? Party or no party? History/culture tours or no? Just trying to get away get hammered and not have your kids around except for dinner?
  21. Correct, its so stupid there's a no way out and they've chosen to triple and quadruple down against the advice of everyone willing to give them a pass for the stupidity. Seriously, everyone keeps understating or not fully grasping the stupidity of this, it almost needs a new word, because something this stupid has never actually happened in the modern world.
  22. I'm not here to cloak things up, but I don't think the tariffs themselves are what caused this meltdown and the correction after unveiling them didn't have to be a complete walkback to calm the market. The problem is this is stupid any way you look at it. It was stupid how it was announced, rolled out, picked, communicated, justified, any way you look at it it is completely and utterly stupid. Its completely devoid of any rational thought or basis in common global reality. It is stupid on such a profound level, no one knows what the fuck to think. When no one knows what to think, herd mentality is the most dangerous, and right now there's a mass exodus of both foreign and domestic dollars out of the market to get to something someone thinks is safe.
  23. The bottom is any company that isn't actually profitable and was using stock issued to a frothy market to pay for shit going to 0. Buckle up its gonna be a fucking ride.
  24. Dude I'm not sure what you are talking about. Do you have any proof whatsoever?
  25. I'm down to sanction a boycott.
