  1. I buy Greenberg turkeys specifically for gumbo.
  2. I do that while sitting on my boat in the Louisiana marsh, miles from anyone else. Or when camping.
  3. The Cleaner on Britbox is one of the cleverest shows in memory.
  4. They should call for people who served with him to come forward and corroborate the lies. A honey pot for liars.
  5. I've noticed the same thing over the years, having seen them at lots of venues I suspect it's a woodlands thing. For me it was better last night but I was also 20 feet from the mixing board/sound techs. And I cranked my hearing aids up because Im damned near deaf. The horns sounded great. I'd have given anything see them at Red Rocks though. Also that waif in the grey skirt on the right was like a human firedancer for the whole show.
  6. Truth. No really, I snapped this in the parking lot at Truth in the Heights a few weeks ago.
  7. My 12th-grade religion teacher had me read most of his stuff, same thing happened to me. Funny sidenote, a lifelong friend’s son was gifted a letter from his great-grandfather (times 5)’s collection as a high school graduation gift this past week. Historical and rare family keepsake. I didn't have the heart to mention that his ancestor, a former US Congressman, Cabinet Secretary, and prominent slave owner, is credited in most Civil War history books as a leading secessionist instrumental in destroying the Union before serving the CSA. He was in Jefferson Davis’ inner circle, and General Sherman’s army was ordered to show no restraint in burning his place. Judging by Facebook comments, its clear nobody else caught the significance. Or they didn't care.
  8. Good jam. Mellow setlist. Enjoyed it greatly. My wife and I figured out it was our 19th show in the 13 years we've been a couple.
  9. I'll bet. That must have been epic.
  10. It was July 31st. I met my first wife/former mother of my kids at that show. I too was stoned to the bone.
  11. Tomorrow night. Hoping they start with this.
  12. True for me. I'm even a brk.b shareholder now.
  13. A lawyer I know is saying that if a person on bail is convicted of a crime in another jurisdiction that’s grounds for revocation? so theoretically all Jack Smith has to do is file motion, and Trump would be reminded into custody in Florida? I know that sounds highly unlikely and is wishful thinking on my friends behalf. This is the same guy that had himself kidnapped and attempted to have himself ransomed when he was a teenager.
  14. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_books I mean, its not as popular as Harry Potter, but as far as I can tell there is only one book on that list that specifically deals with alcoholism.
  15. Looking forward to a report. I sure wish they would build the long-promised pier to replace the shore fishing area of rollover cut. You can always wade fish the bay side of the old cut, but thinking about it I wonder if that area is even productive anymore without the tidal action. Putting this out there - if you want to fish Sabine on Saturday or Sunday, let me know. You could meet me in Port Acres and we could fish Keith Lake or even SW LA in my boat. That's an open invitation to all of you, by the way.
  16. Scottie freed, detective takes a shot at his lawyer and gets new pants. ‘Saul Good, Man.
  17. The last convo I had with El Diablo IRL before he shrugged off this mortal coil was about the satisfaction in peeing in one’s yard. RIP, sweet prince.
  18. If you're not going to attend an accredited college of Law, David, why even bother going? This dumbass needs to get punched. Now lets count how many “Republicans” vote straight D ticket in November? That's my plan at least. Lmfao@ arguing with a Phelan over legacy.
  19. Pretty much, or the Broussards, Sherlocks, Greens, Crutchfield, Giglio, Jenkins, Daleo, Rayzors, or Dishmans. Lan, Mollie, and I were all class of ‘90 at Kelly, and Phoebe, Keely, and Pat were a few years ahead. Now that my dad has passed, Pat Phelan and his wife Katherine have filled in as surrogate parents. I love and respect them greatly. They do it for public service, not to line their pockets. Dade’s wife Kim and my wife Kim are close. That peckerhead Covey was a mouthpiece, nothing more. This is also a loss for Trump, as he had endorsed Covey.
  20. I voted early on Friday, and maybe my ballot was flagged as a provisional or required further scrutiny because I changed addresses within district 21 several weeks ago. Today is the runoff. I've received 3 phone calls today from Phelan’s uncle, my stepbrother, and my wife’s stepsister with “hey the rolls show you haven't voted yet, what gives?” That's crazy to me. My wife asked me earlier who the Democratic candidate will be in November’s general. I just laughed and asked her what candidate in their right mind would dive into this shitshow.
