1. I’m gonna need a list of surly posters who drive Dodge trucks. Cause every time I see blatant bad behavior, 99% of the time it’s a Dodge. Apologies if I offend anyone, I’m just reporting an axiom. Just last week I saw a dodge driver brake check a semi rig. Genius. My wife and I do the same. Now, let’s talk Altimas…
2. Arrived early at the men’s meeting tonight, and was looking through the cabinet for the meeting binder when I found some Al Anon literature.
3. Wilmington has a perfectly good airport as well, direct flight to DFW.
4. That's not good. As an Army parent and taxpayer, I'm hoping your intel is wrong.
5. Yes on both fronts, but no kid in their right mind is watching drone videos on Reddit thinking sign me up for that. My son’s biggest fear is field grade and general officers with PowerPoint decks. And the 82nd is already pivoting away from human recon.
6. Supermax is where the bombers/cereal killers go.
7. Had a long talk with Lt. Bearschlong over the past few days, and this conflict is causing wholesale changes in US Army doctrine. Armor and artillery is now obsolete. The future Army will travel at 60Mph on 4-wheelers and technicals under a phalanx of drones and missiles, blanketed with offensive and defensive electronic warfare systems. Light and nimble.
8. ocugolf is MAGA uncle the one that connects y'all to the cousin that used to filter TFG’s social media? When I went to bed last night, my wife, DIL, and daughter were shooting tequila and singing Alanis Morisette at the top of their lungs. Went downstairs to get a cup of coffee this morning and the kitchen looks like a war zone. But nothing approaching the damage I did when I was 23. I'm grateful they all have fantastic singing voices though. Last hurrah before deployment, which is looming on the horizon. I want to move to Pinehurst.
9. Cool so she can babysit while we go to the US Open right? My son will be deployed but my DIL can drop us off/pick up. Seriously, congratulations!
10. Aren't you in NC now? Taking the fam out for dinner in Pinehurst tonight.
11. Rudder taking in the NC early morning pines/ Army housing. Yes he is an Aggie. And a very good dog.
12. It is. Happy Thanksgiving from military housing.
13. Nah that's Philly bruh
14. Flight attendant eyeball removers. Or forceps, depending on your worldview.
15. Psa this mixer made in Lubbock not only didn't get stollen by TSA, it makes a delightful mocktail.
16. In Missouri they have signs that say “zipper merge ahead” before construction zones, and people actually comply. It's uncanny.
17. Ya’ll are the swellest internet buddies! Thanks for the laughs. If that song ends up on Texags I will know we have a mole in the family.
18. Meeting Jimmy at a small reception when he visited Baylor is one of my fondest memories. My cousin was on a road trip once and stopped at Plains to go to Sunday school with the Carters. He said it was very informal and friendly.
19. The bigger the cushion the better the pushin. (within reason). That OF plan was genius. It's obviously probably maybe untrue, but he paid someone on OF to do something. Why not her?
20. For felon in possession of a firearm. Remember, he shot his brother and did time in TDC after representing himself in court with the “see judge, he needed shootin” defense, got out, and then the DEA (who obviously had him on their radar) got him when his old lady got tired of him beating on her and called Midland PD. “My husband is a felon with a pistol.” Max but not supermax. Underachiever. I can't remember which surly lawdog sent me the facts of his case, but that's how it went down. It corroborated family lore. Life moves fast. Glad the kids take after me.
21. Plus, grandma’s eldest son just got released from maximum security federal prison in Florence Colorado. Maybe it’s his turn to see her for the holidays
22. Son is in the Army in NC, daughter is in Chicago, and Grandma is in Spring. Daughter will see her over Christmas. They love their grandmother but it's difficult seeing her without their mom somehow creating uncomfortable entanglements. My ex-wife, however, is going on an African safari for Thanksgiving. That is plausible deniability. “I was in Africa, how could I have a family Thanksgiving??” Remember, after the kids escaped, she spent a holiday - Easter, IIRC, at Machu Piccu, Peru. A few years ago she took them to Jordan (Petra) for the holidays so they couldn't see me. She ain't afraid to travel for a exotic selfie.
