I think it's a kind of crabgrass. If you can find a seed head it will help ID it.

I'd hit it with quinclorac or a low rate of glyphosate. I'm becoming convinced that the results of glyphosate and MSMA are nearly indistinguishable. You can try Celsius too if you have it on hand.

Thanks, it grows next to the Crabgrass in some places but left alone in a garden bed where it is not mowed it can create a mat that is 8-10 inches thick where the stems weave themselves together and root anywhere they touch the ground.  It's growing pattern is closer to Common Bermuda but the leaves look like crabgrass just the stems and roots don't.

Aggy doesn't have it on this page: https://aggieturf.tamu.edu/turfgrass-weeds/

Looking in other places to see what I can find.

  2. Not to be thread police but this is turning into the "Trumptards and the stupid things they say and do" thread.

I come here for my daily dose of schadenfreude of our Dear Leader's self demise.  I have to wade through 300 posts about Karen to get my fix and it makes me surly.

Harris is a young(comparatively), smart, qualified candidate who also happens to be more than capable of destroying Pence and Trump every time she steps in front of a mic.  She would have been a top candidate for 2024.  She was the smart money from the beginning - and no one ever accused Dem leadership of original thinking.

Warren would have been my choice - she was my choice in the primary - but might be better served leading the Senate.

I know it doesn't usually work this way but I agree.  Chuck Schumer may need to move to a lesser role and have Warren as the leader.  Another topic but I think Peolsi needs to move on, only problem is I don't know who steps up there.

Seriously.  Trump's tale needs to end as a warning to every other narcissistic sociopath that as tempting as it might be, they really, really, really don't want to be President of the United States.

The disorder doesn't work like that.  They are always smarter and better than the other guy and will blow everyone away with how well they perform (cognitive test).

I had never heard of this Ian Miles Cheong guy before seeing reference to him being a huge piece of shit yesterday, but apparently he's some self-hating racist from Malaysia.

I have no idea who any of these people are either, but this general sentiment is widely expressed on Twitter, for whatever that's worth...

Sounds like the 6 figs of Twitter

Apparently it actually is a parody.

There's no link and it's not being reported anywhere else.  Maybe some of them actually speak at his convention, but that is just another grifter Twitter account hunting for retweets/engagement.

This whole administration is a parody.

Those Browning Safaris are fine rifles.

I inherited two of them from my Dad’s best friend. One was a .30-06, the other a .243. Both beautiful guns, with the .30-06 showing some wear from numerous Alaska hunts during the 1960s. The 55 year old .243 looked like NIB.

Gifted them to my sons. Several years ago.

I know :)  If the one with the .243 ever decides to sell I would love to be the first contacted.    You can tell I take care of this one.

Ready for deer season. Used see through sights so I can still use the iron sights.

Not sure if this counts as a classic, but I bought this all original ‘88 K5 a few weeks ago.  My plan is to do a complete restore to make it look like the day it rolled off the factory line, to include the original paint color.  Parts are cheap and this thing is pretty easy to work on.

  10. New scope day.  The 1975 Weatherby .270 Wby Mag is getting it’s original Burris Fullfield 6x back with new glass that was refurbished by Burris.

The 1965 Browning hi-Power Safari in .30-06 is having its original Leupold M7 4x replaced by the Vortex Diamondback.  The Leupold works great and looks great on the rifle but I am hunting in an area that faces West and the glare at dusk is just too much. Will probably use higher rings on the Vortex and just keep it on low magnification.  I could not find a nice fixed power scope to replace the Leupold.  If I do I’ll likely switch again.

Anybody have any experience with Sig optics and glass?  This looks to be a good deal at PSA.  Scope alone is $499 every other place I can find.

    Sig Sauer Tango4 1-4x24 Riflescope w/ Sig Sauer Alpha1 Steel Hunting Mount - SOT41111-A1

I don't have one but researched them a lot.  I am a fan of FFP and have 2 of them, a 1-4x on my AR15 and a 4-14x44 on my AR10 .308  I think they are well suited for that platform because you can use them for ranging using the reticle.  The magnification of the reticle is not an issue because they are usually finer on an FFP scope and the reticle is the same ratio to the target at all magnifications. and this being a 1-4x it does not magnify it that much. This one has a horseshoe dot.  You'll use the horseshoe ring at low magnification/close range and the dot for longer range and higher magnification.  It is a good combination.

I love the 1-4X (mine is a Burris MTAC) on an AR because it is dual purpose for "patrol" and longer ranges.  At 1x with the illumination on it acts pretty much like a red dot and you can scan with both eyes open.  When I want to take a 100 yard shot I can close an eye and/or dial up the magnification all using the same optic.

Edit: Forgot to mention with that reticle and an AR-15 5.56  (IIRC) the dot should be your 25 and 100 yard impact and the bottom of the horseshoe should be 200 yards.

Dreading that when I get my MGA back.  Guys working on it are very high end and their paint is 20K. The current paint was done by my Dad after taking courses at community college to learn how. Can't complain  -  it has lasted 40 years

MGA is only half a car, should be half the price.

Paint is stupid expensive these days. $10k is actually not that bad.

The best quote I've gotten from someone I trust to paint it was 10K.  Goes up from there.
