173 yards. I think Kentucky gives up that much rushing each game.
And we abandoned the run last night, afuckinggain.
Arch comes in last year to run ZR. it works. We run ZR twice against the paperclips for like 7 and 30 yards. We ran it 0 times yesterday.
He makes obtuse decisions from offensive strategy and personnel to the gameplan to any in game adjustments. He regressed since he got here. The defense is consistently better than the sum of its parts and the offense isn't.
If we only had a bazzillon examples of coaches not letting go of certain responsibilities and their team suffering due to it.
OFFENSIVE GENIUS
LG position was the root of all evil this game. from the start. Our offense finally clicked when Arch just assumed their dline has a free shot from that direction.
the LG position on the oline is worse than atrocious. can we not just get a JAG DT there to stand still and then hit the guy in front of him if needed? it would a serious upgrade.
we started making plays when Arch just got good at dodging their dline player attacking from that spot.
Sark is a great culture builder and play designer
he is not a great football coach and that portion of his responsibility, the O, performs worse than the sum of its parts. And yes, i know the parts are questionable today too.
so good to see Penix getting it done. he throws such a beautiful rope for mid to long balls (too soon, I know). that should really push defenses back a bit if he can get consistent with it and get a rapport with their main targets.
Bijan is such a freak. He is Barkley 2.0.
i respectfully disagree with this take. I also don't think the US has mental health issues like everyone does - not in my experience. I think many Americans are far worse off mentally than other places. We have little safety nets like other places, healthcare is a bankruptcy trap, and well, just generally speaking many Americans are just living paycheck to paycheck. Its simply not like that in the Netherlands or Australia or elsewhere. the US was also the first country to be interneted. And thats a real thing. We ran full fucking speed into it. We are like 5 years advanced in terms of the fire social media has ignited on our stupidity.
But really saying its not mental health isn't a winning argument which is the biggest reason I don't like this take. You will just continue with one side "guns" the other side "mental health" and nothing will happen.
If I get into this convo with anyone my stance is always - its a guns access and mental health problem and doing what we can to limit these two things coming together to cause a mass shooting. So what actions can we take in each arena?
And I agree with @jimmyjazz too - gun culture is also fucking weird and in and of itself a mental health issue. You are worshipping a instrument that is used to kill. Plain and simple.
