  1. Good for him, I hope the job is his in 2021. There is still something to be had with QBs who sit for a few years and take over when they're ready, physically and mentally. I believe most teams prefer starting a RS soph or junior but it's not always possible (see Texas 2011-2017) I know all these QBs think they're the greatest and want to start as true freshmen. If not then they hit the transfer portal. If you want to make the NFL then all you need is 1-2 good years. Might as well be patient and wait your turn. Let Thompson have the job in 2021 and if he keeps it through 2022 then fine. Card will still have plenty of time if he's patient himself.
  2. Easy game...layup bowl. See ya next year in this same building when we play the next mid-tier Pac-12 team....probably Arizona State
  3. Damn Colorado sucks...just enjoy that gift bag and go home!
  4. Another win vs. UNC in December...guaranteed money every year
  5. Wells is done and he knows it. Probably already agreed to go back to Utah State behind the scenes now that the job is open
  6. Not surprised at the win...this is what Tom Herman does. He loves to play the underdog. Only problem is that you're not going to be the underdog too often at Texas. If he wants to impress then win the games you're supposed to win instead of losing to mediocre TCU teams
  7. Finally. One more OK State turnover and this one is over...you know they will cough it up
  8. He will be safe after this season no matter what. But after 2021 is when he will be fired once they go 7-5 with a new QB. Unfortunately, I don't know who will be the answer (realistically). The coaching cupboard is bare
  9. Both coaches should have gone for 2 during any of the OTs. These Big XII coaches put too much faith in their defenses. You trust the strength of your team (the offense) to pick up 2 yards to get into the endzone instead of putting your prevent defenses out there.
  10. Not much to say here...Herman vs. Riley - two overrated coaches going up against each other. Only thing different is that Riley actually knows more about offense and has his hands all over the scheme, playcalling, QB development. Herman is just a walk-around coach who is supposed to oversee everything but is not good at it.
  11. Campbell stinks too. This conference has a lot of overrated coaches who are held in high regard because they're not old and can get teams bowl-eligible. But overall, it's not exactly the cream of the crop
  12. Bad loss, although not unexpected. Just not disciplined enough with the big penalties and turnovers. This will be just a bad season in the conference overall. I don't see any team going undefeated and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2-loss team winning it.

    NFL Week 3

Falcons will fire their coach and hire Texas Tech's coach
  14. We will see if the weaknesses we showed today continue to get exposed, especially against the better teams. No excuse to look that bad for 27 minutes of the 2nd half against one of the worst teams in the conference (and worst defenses).
  15. Texas looked bad...very bad. We just ended up taking advantage of a team that showed their true colors in the last 3 minutes. That was the easiest comeback ever, we barely even broke a sweat, it was like a scrimmage.
  16. Matt Wells is awful. Hope Texas Tech keeps him there for a LONG time because it's a guaranteed win for the Horns. He coaches scared, makes weird decisions, just not what I see to be a winning coach in this conference
  17. I've been on the Matt Campbell is overrated train for years. If the big programs come calling, he'll eventually be exposed even more with a bigger spotlight. He should probably stay at ISU for a long time, where he can keep getting them bowl-eligible every year, with maybe 8-9 wins being the apex in the really good seasons
  18. He'll be fine. Probably a divorce (hope he got a prenup), he'll get full custody of his kids, and then he'll have even more sympathy from the hoes now because of this traumatic experience. Him and his brother can continue to have more orgies in the future...no problem!
  19. Bad luck with the injuries during the season and then the coronavirus shutting down workouts. He would have impressed at the Pro Day and team workouts to at least go in round 3. When he wasn't healthy early in the season and things weren't looking good, I said he should consider taking a redshirt. Coming back in 2020 fully healthy with a senior QB would have been easy to put up big numbers. He would have been an older prospect but if you're good enough, teams won't care (see Calvin Ridley drafted in the 1st round as a 24 yr old)
  20. Del Conte will say Shaka continues to be unlucky as he won't get the chance to go on a tourney run
  21. Every champion in every sport this year is gonna have the Coronavirus asterisk?
  22. Got humbled in the 1st half but it's a long game. Can Shaka motivate them to come back?
