  1. I’m not a Ferrari fan, but who’s not down for a Ferrari win at Monza? Scenes. And Oscar seems better than Lando.
  2. City fan gonna City fan. Biased motherfucker shouldn’t be allowed to ref our matches.
  3. It’s probably a booking by the letter of the new rule, but it’s the inconsistency and utter randomness within the same match in how referees decide to enforce “the exact letter” of the rules that is so fucking infuriating. The Manchester ref did his boyhood club a solid; we’re definitely up against it for away matches at shit and his boyhood club with Merino hurt and the 2nd best #6 in the league now suspended. I’m tired, Robbie.
  4. The ref is from Manchester and his childhood club just happens to be City. He just made sure Rice misses the City match along with the NLD.
  5. Long enough to have played against the gaffer.
  6. No fee, less than 50% of wages, and no obligation to buy for a veteran player in our position of need? A nice holdover until we sign Nico Williams next summer.
  7. Think Derka mentioned this upthread… Arteta reclaimed Kai and Jorginho. Now time for Sterling. Amazing to think he’s only 29; seems like the dude has been around forever.
  8. Fullham is now my #2 EPL team.
  9. Reiss loan had better 100% be contingent on the club getting the Sterling deal done. Unrelated… last year’s 3rd kit was damn sharp. The 22-23 one, too.
  10. Thought we were the only ones; Chiesa for £10m is a hell of a great deal by you guys.
  11. So he’s on track to be the safety car driver at some point, then. George did a good job of not letting his thoughts show.
  12. Yeah. Sigh. Arteta and Edu:
  13. We were incredibly lucky that Saka, Havartz, Ode, Rice, Gabriel, Saliba, and Benny Blanco were able to play 95% of the minutes last season. The likelihood of all of those players doing that again isn’t great. There is at least some cover at defense. Up front? We best pray, light candles, and say our Rosaries, top off Jobu’s rum, etc all day every day. Sterling for cheap (~£ 10-15m) and Chelsea covering most of his wages could actually be a good signing. He’s worked with Arteta before, knows the basic system, and is an experienced winner in the League at a position we desperately need reinforcement.
  14. Merino (when healthy) will be a really good addition. I think it was underestimated just how much Martinelli thrived by playing infront of an experienced left 8 (Xhaka); adding an experienced pro should help him. Calafiori is what we needed: a left back who’s solid defensively and has ball skills and can play across the defense (Tomi’s injury looks worse than initially thought, since Arteta gave no timeline). Offloading ESR and Eddie for £60m of pure PSR profit and loaning off Fabio was good business, especially since they were out of favor with Arteta. The Ramsdale saga was a debacle; we could’ve sold him last summer for £50m, had Arteta brought in Raya early. Instead, we sold for less than we bought him for. Replacing three attaching players with no one, though…. Arteta must be banking on the he fact that we have Mr Miyagi as a trainer to do that hand clap trick every week, because we’re one more injury to an attacking player from being turbo fucked Overall window grade: C+. With you it’ll rise to a B+ if we somehow (unlikely) add a winger.
  15. Maybe Timber or Penne Blanco can play winger?
  16. We’re dangerously thin upfront. Trossard/Gabi and Jesus (when healthy) are the only difference-makers. Not enough, especially with two extra CL group matches and a possible two-legged play-in for the round of 16.
  17. Hope I’m wrong, but fractured bones usually take the number of weeks that add up to months.
  18. Nice. Better to save that €30m for an attacking player.
