  1. Big Gabi is signed through 2027; unless he wants to leave, we should be getting him a new deal. He and Saliba are immense and easily the best CB pairing in the league right now. Calafiore is an upgrade on Kiwior, so in that regard it’s a good deal. We’re dowm to fine margins of improvement. There’s two more CL group stage matches, in addition to the cups, so more depth is always needed.
  2. Awesome. So, so, SO happy for our Starman.
  3. Every player who stumped for GGG over Marsch needs to be forced to watch every Canada Copa match every fucking day. Idiots…
  4. Boy, passing on Marsch for GGG keeps looking better by the moment. Every MNT player should be forced to watch every Canada match from the Copa every fucking day. 100%
  5. Maple syrup, Molson, poutine, and Montreal smoked meat for everyone.
  6. Money pen from Davies there.
  7. Venezuela trying to had this to Canada. Canada not taking advantage. come on Canada.
  8. Advantage Canada? Edit: Nope
  9. Match of the day, however this ends. Very entertaining.
  10. Oh, and anyone not watching on TUDN/Univision is missing out; infinitely better than the FS1 crew.
  11. Canada should have been cruising 3 or 4-nil. Can’t waste chances against quality opponents. Massive error by the Gk.
  12. Happy Birthday, Merica.
  13. Lightyears ahead of when Arteta took over.

    USMNT 2024

So it was a John Terry & Wayne Bridge-type situation, which broke a few months ahead of the 2010 World Cup. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/may/03/betrayal-and-bombast-surreal-story-terry-v-bridge-scandal

    USMNT 2024

I saw this old quote pop up again on Reddit, and it's on-point. Before Zlatan was Zlatan, he was the son of poor immigrants who moved to Sweden, developed a love of the game, and got noticed. I doubt his parents had the equivalent of $3500/yr to get him in a good club team.

    USMNT 2024

The response is funny, but the original quite from Weston... Well... obviously not. The fact that they are so rooted and attached to the MNT boss is absolutely part of the problem. They needed a new voice after the 2022 WC. Everything that has happened since is just further proof (wins vs La Tri aside, because fuck La Tri).
  17. Like with Locatelli... Juve know most Italians (likely) want to stay in Italy and (likely) play for Juve, they'll agree personal terms with the player, get the player to go public (even if it's "liking" a tweet/x/snapface post from one of their preferred journalists) with his preference of a move to Juve, and then force the selling club to accept 2m/yr for 20 years. Same as it ever was.
  18. Yep. We have us some racing at the moment; multiple teams vying for poles, wins, and podiums. Midfield battles have been good as well.
  19. Colorado, who finished 124 of 133 FBS schools last year in team defense, gets ranked #20 defense?
  20. Gasley reups with Alpine, "multi-year deal." And, shocker, Daddy Stroll keeps his kid on the payroll. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/breaking-gasly-commits-future-to-alpine-after-agreeing-multi-year-extension.2fTOrdhn0AgZa4r4UVkktt https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/breaking-aston-martin-confirm-stroll-to-remain-as-alonsos-team-mate-after.2jFNF8IKenDvIeDXEpblBD

    Euro 2024

We may bitch about Gregg's idiocy wasting a good crop of MNT players, but Southgate is out there proving it could be worse.
  22. Whoever invented naoch needs the damn Nobel Prize.
