  1. Phew. I love a “one-nil to the Arsenal“ as much as anyone, but we really needed that second goal LFG, you Gunners! L. F. G.
  2. Lots of sterile possession, zero cutting edge in the final third. I’ve seen this movie too many times.
  3. Grind what you need when you need it. Grinding coffee begins the process of it going stale, no matter how air-tight you store it, so you’ll get better cups if grind right before brewing. That said, if you grind an entire 12oz bag that will get brewed within a week, you may not notice much difference from the first cup to the last. A 2# bag from Costco, though, I’d imagine you would.
  4. Wow.... Won everything at the club level and probably would have a few more PL titles without having to deal with "115 Financial Violations Petrostate FC." Plus he took down Bayern while at Dortmund. Not a bad career. Compare the above with his introduction. Dude looks like he's aged 20 years.
  5. This. Far and away the best I've had from a grocery store. HEB/CM have it (on the off-chance its open).
  6. "Why is there racing going on at the 70 year-old race track that I just built my McMansion next to?" There's a word for such a person:
  7. No; last seen And, um, yeah... that trailer was amazeballs. Can't wait.
  8. A thing of beauty. 100% Gabi XL getting that early goal was so freaking vital; seemed to take a load off everyone's shoulders, and we played free afterward. Hopefully this was the slump buster everyone needed, especially Martinelli. Arteta didn't sound too worried about Rice post-match, and luckily our next match isn't for 10 days. COYG!!!
  9. Yup. They used to have three pizza options: cheese, pepperoni, and combo (what they called a "supreme"). The Costco rotisserie chicken is one of the best and most tasty options out there. We planned on making batches of chicken noodle and tortilla soups during "Cold-pocalypse'24," so, thinking I'd need a chicken for each, I picked up two. Turns out one bird had more than enough meat for both.
  10. Livery drop, McLaren edition. Cleaner look, other than the Google wheels. Compared to last year…
  11. A chuck roast got the full Julia treatment, alongside Dutch oven bread
  12. PL is charging Everton (again) and Forest with “breaching profitability and sustainability rules.” Points deductions (a second for Everton) are likely. Apparently, the magic number is 115 financial rules violations. That gets you off scott-free. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/jan/15/premier-league-charge-nottingham-forest-everton
  13. Wonder if he fook smashed Gene’s door on his way out?
  14. Five goals in the last seven and one clean sheet in the past nine….
