  1. If Raya starts the next match, it’s because he’s sucking Arteta’s dick. That’s nearly three he’s given them. He’s covering for Zinchenko, who’s inverting heavily. Crowd are silent. Come on, Gooners.
  2. ZERO reasons Raya should be starting over Rambo right now.
  3. Rodri does that 10x per match. Isn’t a foul, let alone a yellow.
  4. Nervy start. Damn lucky to still be level. Is Raya really that much better than Rambo? I don’t think so.
  5. No Saka worries me. Jorg really worries me. Martinelli on the bench enhopens me. No Rodri or KDB in their side. This might be our best chance v them in a while. I’m a bag of nerves Lets. Fucking. Go.
  6. And get a race car that sounds like a race car.
  7. He really was, and the world is a lesser place without him in it. The Waffle House monologue is poetry.
  8. I’ve seen reports from “it’s not too serious” to “it doesn’t look good.” I’d be surprised if Arteta said anything one way or the other; make City have to do some extra prep. 100%. Much of our possession was sterile. Also… for all Zinchenko brings to our attack (and he brings a lot), he can be a liability defensively. I see why Arteta wanted Timber, and what an impact he will have. Sadly not till next year. I also think part of the disjointedness is due to not having Partey and Martinelli available. Maybe we were looking past them to City. Maybe sitting on a runway for 5 hours sapped the lads. Maybe both. Hopefully. Because City rip us to shreds if we roll that effort out on Sunday.
  9. Well this match sucked. Wouldn't know who's currently third in their league table and who's just above relegation. We'd better rinse the stink off fast.
  10. Losing Saka now losing the match. Fucking hell.
  11. The whole Raya experiment seems odd. You lock up Ramsdale to an extension then bring in someone to displace him in the next window on loan? Arteta said "form plays," and then he as to play Ramsdale against City, right? That goof from Raya was far worse than any Ramsdale made so far this season.
  12. Fucking hell. Overcooking Saka looks like it's catching up with us. He should have come off as soon as the 3rd goal went in Saturday and not been risked tonight.
  13. So Ramsdale back in net for City?
  14. It's a full-strength side; I would have expected a bit of rotation. Lens are just outside relegation in the French league, but away CL fixtures are rarely easy.
  15. By chance did he visit this place?
  16. Also... EPL goal scored in September: Kai Havartz - 1 Chelsea - 0.
  17. For those keeping track at home, that's fourteen "whoopies, my bad. Hope this doesn't adversely affect your season. And if it does... eh." in the past 12 months. At this point, PGMOL needs to acknowledge there is a problem, because they have one. The reasoning behind VAR was a good one: have a system in-place to catch major and glaring errors. If 2b viewers watching live around the world get immediately shown replays when the ref missed something, why shouldn't the ref have some sort of backup? What it has become, though, isn't that.
  18. Well that was fun. Absorbed their initial pressing before Starboy scored on our first real attack. Hopefully the goal and flood of positive response, both from the lads and the supporters, removes his block and unlocks Havartz. The way the lads responded to Kai's goal... I love this group of guys. Really, really hope they cement their Arsenal legacy with some major silverware. A resounding defensive performance and a cleansheet. The away fans absolutely fucking BRINGING it. Drowned out the home supporters all match long. Needed some good vibes ahead of City, and it will be damn nice to have Partey back (hopefully back in his usual role as a 6 in MF and not as RB). Two gripes: First is a minor one, that Smith-Rowe didn't get his "monkey off his back" goal. Second is valid: Saka should have been subbed off FAR earlier then he was. Everyone knows opponents kick shit out of his legs with zero repercussions from the refs, so why leave him out there only to get kicked needlessly, and then sub him off only after he came up limping. Starboy needs some load management. Anyone else been singing the Kai song all weekend? I have. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cx2vdJKtcT-/?igshid=NzZhOTFlYzFmZQ%3D%3D
  19. Let’s. Fucking. Go.
  20. We’ll get them healthy just in time for their respective NT managers to re-injure them. Oh, and we’re losing Tomi and Partey for the Asian and African cups, respectively, this winter. FML
  21. We almost have an XI of injured players: Saliba, Timber, Rice, Partey, Fabio, Martinelli, Trossard, Saka. That’s 8/11 of a side that would finish top 4. Either London Colney is built on a cursed ancient burial ground, or there is some serious problems about our medical and training programs that need changing. Players who went their careers without injury at their previous clubs suddenly become brittle after joining Arsenal. IIRC Gabriel Jesus mentioned in an interview that Arsenal train much more intensely than City. Correlation? Maybe. But clearly something is massively wrong with how we train, recover and treat injuries.
  22. I'd be fine with a 2hr ep. Immediately caught that, too. My take as well. Makes total sense that someone who always was in-tune with the world around him would have a deep connection with the the Force. Him whipping up with just Force Push and Force Pull was impressive. Someone had to get Leia's message to that committee. R2's off with Luke, so who else would she send? Plus, it gave all of us the chance to yell "THREEPIO!!!: Oh, and C1-10P is fucking awesome; I never thought a droid could rival R2-D2 for #1 on the droid list, but damn if he isn't 1 or 1A. Also, did anyone else catch Anakin tell Snips to "trust your instincts" during his training holo? Qui Gon, who believed in the Living Force and "feel; don't think. Trust your instincts," trained Obi-Wan who trained Anakin, who trained Ahsoka. The philosophies of masters transmit down through their padawans, and on again. Nice touch. Thrawn also showed restraint by not telling Morgan to shut the fuck up. I'm the Grand Admiral, I'm the master strategist, you're my lacky. Now please stop interrupting me with stupid questions and even worse tactical suggestions. Baylon seeming to abandon Shinn... a final test for her, perhaps? "Survive, and you are fit to serve along side me." Interesting, as he seemed to show concern for her a few eps ago when Ahsoka Force Pushed her into a column at the Stonehenge-esque location. Perhaps using Shin as a distraction/cover while he goes off to find whatever (or whomever) he was searching? Either way... I'll say it again: what a shame that Ray passed away. He's killing it as Baylon.
  23. We advance, hopefully to face a lower league side where we can rest key guys and get young ones a match.
