  1. True, but my main point was that Sam is the leader of the team, and if the leader of the team has been chomping at the bit for an entire year to get payback on those toothless, horns down, sister-fuckers, then he will likely have the entire team ready to play at a high level.
  2. Sam circled this game as soon as last year's game ended in Austin. I'm not worried.
  3. They'd be dumb if they didn't spell out "DBU" and then morph straight into "471".
  4. Run it up Herman! Leave no doubt!
  5. EauxU Still Sucks
  6. Stupid sips, our defense doesn't suck. Our QB does! /bayouaggy
  7. brb, gotta go run through a wall. Is it Saturday yet?!
  8. On the bright side, at least he wasn't caught on any hot mics talking about how bad our team is.
  9. Duv took one handoff out of the backfield against LaTech, so it appears the coaches were already preparing for the possibility of needing him to play some RB.
  10. The funniest part is Muhammad was arrested a few years later for literally the exact same thing. But yea great example, Nick.
  11. I, for one, would never get tired of that. With all due respect, of course.
  12. I'm calling it now: our streak of no 50+ yard plays ends on our first offensive drive.
  13. I'm sorry, but that's an extremely aggy response. "Yea you beat us, but we won a different game around the time you lost a game where several of your best players didn't even play, so HA!!" As much as I hate those toothless sister-fuckers; they got us in the head-to-head so they have the bragging rights until next year.
  14. Quandre is still my favorite part of this gif. He's about to jump in and help on the tackle, but then he's like "Nah my boy's got this, I'm just gonna flex on em!"
  15. Fuck yea. Let's go!
  16. There are a lot of penalties/mistakes I find ridiculous and infuriating, but I think the only one I'd put into the "absolutely 0 tolerance, unacceptable" category is a player (on a team that's losing by less than 9 points) getting tackled with the ball in their hands to end the game. To me, there is nothing more simple than knowing "If I get tackled with this ball in my hand, the game is over and we lose", so any player who can't process that thought doesn't belong on a football field past the age of like 8.
  17. I think it's safe to assume they aren't going to put much on film in their first game against Georgia Southern, so really we're going to be their first game with the new offense. Refer to our season opener against ND in 2015 when we debuted our new up-tempo, high powered offense for an example of how well that typically works out.
  18. Truth. Casey only has to wait two more quarters. He'll play the whole second half against La Tech after we head to the locker room up 35-0 at halftime.
  19. Beck also dropped one of them that hit him right in the face mask (I can't remember which game it was); so make it 6 TDs for the taking.
  20. Please, for the love of God, just let this be a good ole' fashioned 52-10 victory with Sam wearing a headset the entire second half. I can't take a third straight year of going from incredibly excited for the start of football season to clinically depressed all within the span of about 2 hours.
  21. I bet you woke up kinda sad. But then you cheered up... cuz you know we'll beat LSU by way more than that!
  22. This is a little over the top, in my opinion. Is Vince Young currently the greatest college football player ever? Yes. Is he currently most people's favorite Longhorn football player ever? Yes. But let's not forget that he earned both of those titles during his final 2 seasons at Texas. Sam still has his final 2 seasons in front of him. Is it LIKELY that Sam's final 2 years overcome what VY did in his final 2 years? No. Is it POSSIBLE? Based on the improvements Sam made last year, and assuming he can continue to improve at the same rate; I would argue that it is possible. I think the "favorite Longhorn" title is obviously more achievable than the "greatest ever" title.Think about it: it's possible that Sam could ride out of Austin with 3 straight victories over OU in Dallas, 2 straight Big 12 titles, and 4 straight victories in major bowls. On top of those achievements, he'll also leave us with memories of his badass moments (mocking Drew Lock's backpack, take the loss pussy, we're baaaack!, etc. Plus many more that are sure to happen over the next two years.). Also, Lebron > Jordan.
  23. Damn, I love Sam Ehlinger. If he is giving speeches like that in practice every day, even when the cameras aren't there, we could be in for a real treat this season. There's something special about a team that is willing to run through a wall for their QB.
