  1. Your tv requires power, so get a splitter and plug into same outlet assuming it’s behind the tv already. If power has already been run behind the wall just cut a small hole and run the fish tape along the existing wire and plug into those cabinets. I had power outlets and Ethernet ports installed where I wanted to mount my TVs prior to moving in so I didn’t have to deal with that. There’s one tv, where we have the modem and router installed where I had to snake the wires behind the wall and into an outlet behind the entertainment center. There’s tons of kits to make the hole cut outs look good and make it easier to run additional wires in the future. For the TVs where I just plugged it in to my existing wall outlet behind the tv I just plugged directly into the tv and then just zip tied the fire tv/stick to the existing tv mount.
  2. Yup. I believe Thad Motta was their first choice.
  3. This. When I was a kid, I hated that smell because I was forced to do yard work when I just wanted to go and hang out with my friends. Now I’m a recent first time homeowner and love the smell. After doing some yard and cracking that ice cold beer and smelling that smell is pure bliss.
  4. Literally ran into Emily jones at the ballpark this weekend. She was texting and I was taking a drink of my beer. Love at first sight.
  5. Depends if half of your shit is considered large or not.
  6. Seems to be working relatively normal. However, when I refresh it’ll double show threads under the unread header.
  7. Right. There appears to be a 3rd party app that lets you stream from your non fire tv device to your fire tv using YouTube tv. Or like you said use the browser work around.
  8. I’m sure it’s been mentioned already, but don’t buy it until you can pay for it straight up. The smaller jewelers are also more willing to negotiate price especially if you’re buying it up front. I ended up getting it custom made to get exactly what she wanted. Went back to same jeweler and he’s custom making the band as well to interlock with it perfectly. Also is giving us a nice deal on the band.
  9. The ESPN fantasy app. Rolling all the fantasy sports leagues into one app has been incredible.
  10. It appears that there’s an app that you can use to stream through your fire tv.
  11. I run Hulu TV on my Fire TV and Fire Sticks and love it. There were some lags at the beginning of football season, but by mid season it was running smooth. I may try out DirectTV Now, just for the sake of getting the free Apple TV next time they run that promo.
  12. The Kirkland branded scotch and whiskey are by far the best bang for the buck. Please please let them sell that shit down here. I always pick up a couple of bottles when I'm up north.
  13. When my server makes eye contact with me and just a simple head nod to bring another beer while they're walking through the section on the way to another table. It's a nice attention to detail to notice my drink is low. It's an automatic 25% tip minimum.
  14. He left Tenn to join Beard at UNLV and then followed him to Lubbock. I believe he was the lead recruiter for Culver and Zhaire.
  15. Forgot all about this app, would like to join back in. TTU13.
  16. It sounds like Cross was fired with the intention to hire Ogden. UTA AD was sitting behind Tech bench at AAC for the tourney.
  17. Occupancy sensor switches in small closets and laundry room. Qmotion automated shades. About to integrate with the Legrand/Vantage InFusion Controller with the RF switches so I can set scenes throughout the house and use the switches to control the lights/shades in individual rooms. I'll eventually add the touchscreen switch to control the shades, lights, audio, check weather and whatever else features they add. Honeywell smart thermostats. Liftmaster MyQ for garage. Alarm system. Smart TVs, Apple TV, Amazon TV, etc About to install PoE cameras. A coworker of mine programmed majority of his house using a Tridium JACE. I was beyond impressed looking at the station copy and seeing how he incorporated all the different protocols. Surprisingly the soon to be wife has been very receptive to the technology.
  18. Tinfoil. The cheap shit leaves some weird residue on it that is a pain in the ass to clean. Especially when used to line the water bowl on the smoker for high heat cooks.
  19. Bye bye, Jett. Good riddance. I guess the positive out of this is the Lubbock media doesn't hide shit for the program like the rape enablers down in Waco.
